Leeds. Dogue de Bordeaux

Always a great breed to judge and had a very good entry. As always grear sportsmanship on display. Because of the hot weather I tried to geet the dogs in the shade and not move them too much. A few points of concern. Some were at the bottom of the standard for size. A few wry mouths. Eyes were far too loose in a few, some with staining. Had a couple with kinks in their tails. Hind action let some otherwise good dogs down. On the plus temperaments were good, conditioning and muscle tone very good.

1st: 4511 ISETON, Mr Rob Bobiso Amos

Liked his head with correct ratio muzzle to skull. Well placed eyes. Wide chest. Rather too high at the rear at the moment. Decent bend of stifle. Good mover. BP

2nd: 4525 MOTT, Mrs G Bourgeoisie Chase N'status

Liked his proportions. Slightly too long in muzzle and could tilt up a little more. Good width chest. Topline is quite good. Moderate in rear.

3rd: 4516 LEONARD, Mrs Kirsha & LEONARD, Mr Mark Bearox Jackpot

Good moving young d, just needs more body. Well proportioned head. Could have a better expression. Deep chest. Correct neck. Liked his topline.

2nd: 4531 FOWLER, Miss Sheree Kay Sidhewhytch's Rhion

Well proportioned in head. Just a little fine in bone. Lengthy neck. Well sprung ribs. Tail carriage detracts.

Really good young dog, quite mature for his age. He has a v good head of correct proportions. Well set eyes, good chin. Enough neck. Broad chest, which is just below elbow. He is well ribbed. Topline ok. Well made rear. Sadly carries tail too high. V typical mover. Despite his youth RCC

2nd: 4530 PRENDERGAST, Miss L Wendisal Vert

He is v well made, could just be a little more of him. Liked his head. Nice open nose, wide chin. Enough neck. Well laid shoulder. Topline ok. Well bodied. Just not as good on move as 1.

3rd: 4512 KENYON, Mr Declan & KENYON, Mrs Stephanie Biscay Winston For Desquire JW

Fun class to judge, a few compromises as ever.

1st: 4510 ISETON, Mr Rob Ch Bobiso Matteo

Really typy d who moved v well when it mattered. Liked his head, correct proportions. Well shaped in skull. Broad chest, could have more fill. Well ribbed.Topline ok. Moderate rear. Holds him self well moving. CC

2nd: 4503 BRUNGER, Mr C M & RAINGER, Mr Mark Loggerheads Thor

He has a v good head. Nice open nostrils. Good neck. Broad chest, could have more fill. Well bodies. Just a bit moderate in rear. After this class decided he had done enough.

3rd: 4515 LEONARD, Mrs Kirsha & LEONARD, Mr Mark Ch Bellamiabam Romeo

1st: 4494 ATKINSON, Miss Leah Wendisal Spice At Sachella

7 years old, carrying a little surplus weigh., but a v good mover and a typy, fem b. Well proportioned head. Enough neck. She is balanced in angulation. Topline ok.

All minor puppies and raw, as they should be.

1st: 4500 BIGGS, Miss Kirsty & HARRISON, Mr Brian & HARRISON Cerisier Got To Have Faith

She is quite typy and has a fairly good head. Liked her eyes. Enough neck. Good width of chest for age. Well ribbed. Could be better in hind action.

2nd: 4538 VAN-HEERDEN, Mrs S Bobiso Miss Virginia

Would prefer a wider back skull to give a more trapezoid head. Enough width of chest. Ok neck. A bit high at the rear at the moment. Could have a better tail.

3rd: 4526 MOTT, Mrs G Bourgeoisie Vue Parfait

Very typy b who moves quite well. She has a better head than 2. Trapezoid shape. Well placed eyes. Enough chin. Lips form a v . She has good width of skull. Enough neck. Liked her width and depth of chest. Well ribbed. Topline runs up a little more than ideal. Well made rear.

2nd: 4539 HAMBLETT, Mr S Ironmastiff-kennil Zartha

Fem b, developing a good body. Has a lovely eye and expression . Good chin. Lengthy neck. Liked her width chest, can just fill in more. Well ribbed back. Ok rear. Went well.

3rd: 4524 POWELL, Mrs Amanda & POWELL, Mr Steve Bourgeoisie Here Comes Edna

1st: 4497 BAMFORTH, Mrs Lindsey Bellamiabam's Ivy

She is so very typical b. Super head, correct balance and shape. Well placed eyes. Good chin. Enough neck. She has a well filled, broad chest.well ribbed back. Ok rear. SShe combined a good head, typical in every way and a v good mover. CC & BOB and delighted to see her go G4, really loved her.

2nd: 4514 LEONARD, Mrs Kirsha & LEONARD, Mr Mark Bellamiabam She Loves You At Bearox Jw

Was a better mover than 3. She has a fem head of strength, v good stop. Good width skull. Well filled, deep chest. Well sprung ribs. Topline runs up a bit.

3rd: 4535 TURNBULL, Mr P Wendy Z Habanskeho Dvora At Biscay

Interesting class took a lot of sorting and compromise.

1st: 4504 CAVANAGH, Ms C Ch Real Akragas Ananke Shimano

Not the biggest but all is in proportion and within standard. Well shaped head, liked her eyes, would just like it slightly bigger. V good chin and a lovely wide jaw.Deep and wide chest, with well sprung ribs. V good topline. Moves v well, which earnt her her awards. Could carry tail lower.RCC

2nd: 4513 KENYON, Mr Declan & KENYON, Mrs Stephanie Regalrouge's Opulence For Desquire

She is a v typical female with a v good head. Trapezoid shape. Super big nose. Well placed eyes. V good chin. She has enough neck. Well filled front. Topline runs up a bit much. Moved v well when it mattered.

3rd: 4498 BAMFORTH, Mrs Lindsey Bellamiabam's River
