NORTHERN PARSON RUSSELL TERRIER CLUB SHOW 9 NOV 24


I would like to thank the exhibitors who showed today knowing that I was not the elected judge for this show. The original judge, Mr Alan Small, was unfortunately taken ill and late on Thursday night I was asked to step in.


BABY PUPPY DOG – 2 – 1 AB


1. YOUNG AND MCCLUSKEY – HEYTHROP TEMPEST – he has a good coat and thick pelt. He is a nice size, straight front and was spannable. Movement was sound when he settled.


BABY PUPPY BITCH – 2


1. ROBERTS AND MURRAY – CASSJOEBEAR CALEDONIA FROM MINDLEN – proportioned in appearance, good bone and feet, straight front. She was spannable, coat was adequate. She has a pleasing head and expression, movement was ok for her age.


2. MCCLUSKEY AND YOUNG – HEYTHROP TEMPTED TO CHADBROOK NAF TAF - wedged shaped head with nice expression. Ears were neat, eyes dark. She was spannable and in good coat. Movement needs to settle both ways.



MINOR PUPPY DOG – 1 – 1AB


PUPPY DOG - 11


1. MANSON – VIXENVIEW BROWNING - impressive looking puppy, balanced outline. Nice masculine, wedge shaped head. Good strong muzzle with correct bite. His eyes were dark, ears were in proportion to his head and V shaped. His neck was clean and muscled, front was straight with good bone, strong pasterns and neat feet. Shoulders were well laid back. He has a nice depth of chest, strong loin and was spannable. Hindquarters were strong and well muscled with good angulation and second thigh evident . He has a harsh double coat, a thick pelt and was presented in good hard condition. He moved true both way. DCC, BP, BPIS, BOB, BIS.


JUNIOR DOG – 1


1. KIRKBY – MINDLEN KUBA – pleasing head and expression, dark eyes and a good bite. He has a balanced outline, straight front and neat feet. Neck was a good length, loin was strong. He was spannable, coat was harsh, movement could be more positive.


POST GRADUATE DOG – 0


LIMIT DOG – 1


1. MITCHELL – MINDLEN MAHICAN IN CHELLOWSIDE – Masculine head, keen expression with dark eyes and a good bite. Ears carried correctly, nice length of neck, strong loin and toned hindquarters. His chest was a tad too deep which made it difficult to span him.


OPEN DOG – 7


1. MANSON – VIXENVIEW SILENT UH SASS IN – nice sized, balanced and presented in a hard, working condition. He has neat V shaped ears, dark eyes and a good bite. Muzzle was strong and his head is wedge shaped with a flat skull. He has a nice length of neck, strong loin and his coat was harsh. pelt was thick and pliable . Front legs were straight and his feet neat. Chest was of correct depth and was spannable. Hindquarters were nicely angulated, hocks were set low which gave plenty of drive in his rear movement He was alert and showed well. RDCC


2. CASSON - MINDLEN HENDRICKS AT CASSJOEBAR – another quality dog, balanced in appearance. Masculine head, good bite and expression. Well placed ears, good bone and straight front. Shoulders well placed, nice ribs and length of body. Hindquarters were well developed with good angulation. Showed well.

MINOR PUPPY BITCH – 1


1. YOUNG AND MCCLUSKEY – CHADBROOK FERRARI ENZO – nice sized, straight front and good bone. She was spannable and in good double coat. Pleasing head, although her ears were a tad large. She moved well for her age.


PUPPY BITCH – 2


1. MITCHELL – UNSTOPPABLE DA BEIRA ALTA (IMP FRA) TAF – feminine head, keen expression, strong muzzle and a good bite. She was balanced and in proportion. Front was straight, loin strong, angulated hindquarters. Nicely toned for her age. Moved well ~RBPIS


2. YOUNG AND MCCLUSKEY – CHADBROOK MASERATI – similar to winner, proportioned appearance. Good bone and feet, pleasing head and expression, neat ears. She was spannable and in good coat. Preferred the rear movement of the winner.


JUNIOR BITCH – 3 – 1 AB


1. EVAN – BELLVALLEY’S COPPERHEAD – I liked her size and appearance. She was spannable and presented in a good double coat. Her front was straight with good bone and pasterns. Hindquarters were toned and well angulated. Moved well both ways.


2. CASSON – CASSJOEBEAR CHUNKY MONKEY – pleasing feminine head, nice V shaped ears and dark eyes. She is proportioned in appearance and was spannable. Front was straight, feet were neat. She was a tad proud of her tail. Showed well.


POST GRADUATE BITCH -2


1. CASSON – HEYTHROP TOPTRICK AT CASSJOEBEAR – although up to size she was still spannable, She has a good coat and a thick pelt. Nice length of neck and lay of shoulder. Hindquarters were muscled and nicely angulated. She has good bone and feet. Moved well both ways.


2. ROBERTS AND MURRAY – MINDLEN TALLA TROUT – she was unsettled on the table and on the move, however when she eventually settled her movement was sound. She has a proportioned head, dark eyes and nicely placed ears. Front was straight and has a nice depth of chest. Her condition was toned and muscled.


LIMIT BITCH – 6 – 2 AB


1. EVANS – BELLVALLEY’S SAVAGE LOVE – she is a nice size and has a balanced appearance. Her muzzle was strong, eyes dark and a wedge shaped head. She has a good length of neck and laid back shoulders. I was able to span her, coat was a good texture, loin was strong and hindquarters were nicely angulated. Moved sound both ways.


2. ANDERSON DRAILAM FOXGLOVE – another one of nice size. She was spannable, her front was straight and has good bone. Her coat was not at its best, pelt was thick and hindquarters toned. Front could be more positive.

OPEN BITCH - 6


1. BAKER – DEGLACOBS REBECCA RIOT – She has a balanced appearance, was presented in good hard condition. Her head is wedge shaped, muzzle strong with a scissor bite. Ears were neat and nicely placed. Neck was a correct length, chest was deep and she was spannable. She has good bone,neat feet, a nice length of body and strong loin. Hindquarters were angulated and second thigh evident. Movement was sound both ways. BCC, BOS, RBIS


2. NIXON – GONETOGROUND I HAVE A DREAM – another nicely balanced bitch with good ribs and depth of chest. She was spannable, her loin was strong. Coat was a good texture. She has a straight front, good bone and feet. Pleasing head and expression, strong muzzle and neat ears. Movement was sound both ways. RBCC


3. ROBERTS AND MURRAY – CH. MINDLRN MOCCASIN


VETERAN BITCH – 3 – 1 AB


1. HOBSON – ALNCROFT ISLE SEE – 9 years old, presented in fit condition. I liked her size, she has a feminine head, good ear placement and bite. She is spannable and has a good double coat. Shoulders were long and sloping, body was a nice size, front was straight. Movement was sound both ways. BVIS


2. MCCLUSKEY & YOUNG – CHADBROOK ELKA – 8 years old in good coat and condition. Proportioned head, neat ears and dark eyes. She has nice bone, neat feet, good neck and a strong loin. Hindquarters were toned, not as positive in movement than 1.


BRACE – 2 – 1 AB


1. CASSON – nicely matched pair, both of similar size, showed well together.
