Such a lovely atmosphere to this show, always one of my favourites and I was delighted to be asked to judge here. My grateful thanks must go to my two brilliant stewards who looked after me and kept me on track timewise, even when the weather was trying its hardest to disrupt. I was disappointed to see some untidy mouths, also short, straight upper arms but the most worrying problem is movement, especially hind movement. Try to look at your dog when moving away from you, get someone to take a video. In some cases it’s down to the handler, for some it’s lack of muscle tone and for some its conformation. If you are not sure, ask someone. On a plus, there were some lovely heads and those melting expressions so typical of the breed.
