I would like to thank the officers and committee for their kind invitation to judge this lovely breed. To my stewards, thank you for all your assistance. Most of all, to the exhibitors for the honour of your lovely dogs. It was a rather chilly and windy day, which made the dogs a little unsettled today.

Class 1498. Puppy Dog - Entries: 1 Absentees: 0

1st Place 4269 - Wystry Agony and Ecstasy (Ms M & Mr G Davies & Brown)

Lovely 11 month old dog, who is well grown but has such a shapely outline, and much to admire. He has substance but retains masculine elegance. Pleasing wedge shaped head, with correct planes, dark eye giving a keen expression. Good length of neck flowing into a well held topline. Liked his depth of chest with a good spring to the ribs and slight arch to the loin. He did not have his mind on the job today on the move, but showed glimpses of clean sound movement. – BP & B/Junior

1st Place 4274 - Ch Talanors Time for Fun ShCEx (Mr F & Mrs P Warner)

Quality 5 year old dog who showing himself of with confidence and style. He presents a lovely outline when stood, with flowing curves. Liked him for his overall size, substance, and masculinity. He has the desired strength but is also graceful. Pleasing masculine wedge shape head, flat skull, dark almond eye that sparkles with keenness. Good length of neck with a slight arch. Well developed through the body, brisket well let down, with the right amount of spring to the ribcage. Holding the correct topline and underline. Hindquarters have a good bend to the stifle and a wide thigh. Moving soundly in all directions whilst holding his outline. Presented in a good jet black jacket with rich mahogany tan markings – BD & BOB

2nd Place 4271 - Ch Talanors Typically Elite (Mr C & Mrs G Knight)

Another super dog, 4 years of age, very pleasing to the eye and showing lovely body lines, which he kept both standing and on the move. Super head, wedge shaped, long and of the correct ratios of foreface to muzzle, with a flat skull, well placed neat small ears, and dark alert eyes. Chest is well let down, with a nice fill in of forechest. Forelegs well under the body and standing on good feet. Strong hindquarters, which he used to drive around the ring. RBD

3rd Place 4270 - Wystry Dempsey's Tipple JW (Ms M & Mr G Davies & Brown)

1st Place 4272 - Ch Talanors Typically Special (Mr C & Mrs G Knight)

Though this 7 year old bitch was just lovely, she has a commendable rapport with her handler, which brings out the best in her. Today she showed herself off beautifully. When stood she has a shapely silhouette, curvy, elegant, and very feminine. Typical in outline and sound in her construction. Feminine wedge shaped head, well placed and used ears, dark almond eyes. Long clean neck with a slight arch, strength through the body, with a deep brisket and ribs carried well back to a strong slightly arched loin. Strong and muscular hindquarters. She has an effortless action on the move, true and clean. Today just not quite the drive of the dog in the challenge, but a close run contest – BB & BOS. Delighted to watch her be shortlisted in a super veteran group

1st Place 4267 - Magpiebank Breeze for Marlablue (Miss B & Mr S Cawley & Stockton)

Very elegant 18 month old bitch, who has a shapely outline on the stack. She has a balanced head, showing the desired wedge shape, well filled in under the eyes, and dark intelligent eyes, ears a little wayward today. Long elegant neck with the slight arch, Chest is down to the elbow, moderate in her angulation fore and aft. Well developed in the body with the desire cut up behind the ribs. A steady clean mover

2nd Place 4273 - Kentwone Lyra at Janmark JW (Mr M & Mrs J Walshaw)

Elegant yet workmanlike 2 year old bitch, full of quality with lovely flowing lines when stood. She has a super keen expression from her dark almond eyes. Feminine head showing good balance and correct wedge shape, with small well placed ears. Brisket down to the elbow and a nice spring to the ribcage, showing a good cut up behind the ribs. Thighs are of a good width and muscle tone, with a good bend of stifle. A little unsettled on the move today, so not holding her outline in profile. Coat of a firm texture and rich tan with well defined thumb marks - RBB
