Thank you for a lovely entry. This was my first time awarding CC in this delightful breed. Not the easiest of days for an English Toy Terrier exhibitor, the wind and cold was rather unkind and spoilt a few good exhibits. I was delighted with my winners and the sporting way my decisions were taken. How lovely to see my veteran and puppy top their respective groups, the special beginner also placed in his group, well done, and the BOB upped her game further in the adult group putting on a sterling performance to be shortlisted in a very strong toy group. I have to congratulate the breed on that fact there were rather good heads throughout and importantly you all had your dogs in good hard condition which was really heartening. I enjoyed my day with you. Special Beginners Entries: 1 Absentees: 0 1 Keylock & Collins Lasagesse Paint It Black. This was a nice start to my day. Stood alone but in no way disgraced. This is a very smart ETT who could hold his own in any class. This young dog is of good size and has a lovely shape. Lovely lean head of good length, correct amount of work in the head and with super dark keen eye of correct shape. Correct shaped ear. Super neck into correct shoulders. Lovely bone and good feet with well arched toes. Nice topline and correct cut up. Moved very well. Shown in good hard condition. This young man should do well with fair play. Puppy Dog Entries: 5 Absentees: 1 Super quality class. 1 Roskell’s Witchstone Silent Wish with Rahima. Quality young puppy still quite raw and has some maturing to do but certainly the essentials are all there. This young male has a quality of head of correct proportions. Good length to his head and appropriately narrow. Correct wedge shaped muzzle which has good strength to it. Super keen obliquely set dark eye ears already up and string. Good length of neck into good shoulders. Pleasing front assembly. Can be a little lazy but when he pulls himself together has the most excellent topline. Well set tail. Good hind quarters which are well angulated. Correctly marked. Moved very well. BP and Toy Puppy Group 1 2 Keylock & Collins Lasagesse Paint It Black. Winner of SB. 3 Forsythe & Pevy & Leonard’s Witchstone Won’t Be Silent by Richpin Junior Dog Entries: 3 Absentees: 0 1 Forsythe & Pevy & Leonard’s Kikuchi Hollywood avec Richpin. Pleasing quality young dog who impressed with his overall size and shape. Lovely for type. Good long narrow head with well-placed ears which are correctly shaped and of correct size. Correct muzzle shaped foreface. Nice expression although would prefer a fraction smaller eye if I am to be highly critical. Well made front and good length of neck. Good topline. Correct tail set. Nicely tucked up. Well angulated rear. I liked his condition and lovely black coat with contrasting and required rich tan. Markings correct. Moved very well and in super hard condition a credit to his owner. Should do well. 2 Imrie’s Amalric Butch Cassidy. Nice for size and shape. Lovely topline. Good bone and feet. Good hind angulation. I liked his head but just preferred the overall length and cleaner back skull of 1. Moved very well. 3 Thorne’s Ettology Mr Kipling Apple Pie Post Graduate Dog Entries: 1 Absentees: 0 1 Wines’s Etruria Say The Word. Another very typey and very smart young ETT. Alone but could easily challenge a well filled class. He immediately appealed for his overall size and shape. Exudes breed type. Good head of correct length without any signs of cheekiness he has a lovely lean back skull. Ears on top and of correct shape and size. Lovely almond eye which is dark and correctly set. Good length of neck with nice arch into correct shoulders. Compact dog with good rib and nice topline. Super front action and good behind. In good A1 condition. Another in this quality entry who has a bright future. Not putting as much in during the challenge. Needs time. Limit Dog Entries: 2 Absentees: 0 1 Snell’s Skin Deep's Mint Condition (Imp Nor). Balanced dog with pleasing head and expression. Decent neck and shoulder and well-constructed front. Correct topline and nicely angulated. Good colour and markings. Moved ok. 2 Warren’s Pedara The World Is Mine. I preferred this young dog for overall breed type. He has a very nice head with good dark eye and good candle flame shaped ears set correctly. Nicely constructed throughout but wasn’t interested in showing today. Open Dog Entries: 6 Absentees: 0 Interesting class with a variety of type. 1 Dixon’s Ch Witchstone Mine's A Double at Lasagesse. Didn’t like the cold conditions on the table but once out in the sun this dog really came into his own. He is just a very honest compact and sound ETT. There is little to dislike in his head which is lean and of sufficient length. Expression is enhanced by his lovely dark eye which is of both correct shape, size and placement. Typical ear shape and set. Good neck and shoulder. Nice bone and compact feet. Desired topline. Nicely angulated behind and moved well. An elegant dog but in no way bitchy. In A1 condition and in super jacket with nice colouring. Pleased to award him the CC. 2 Dennison’s Ch Ettology Bounteous Barney JW RCC. Pushed 1 very hard. Different in type but very correct. Another with a good head and expression. Correct front assembly and with good bone and feet. Correct topline and underline. Deep chest and well sprung. Moved very soundly and typically. I was splitting hairs between one and two however felt that I just preferred the length of head of 1 and the more defined thumbprints. I can see why Barney has his crown and he certainly deserves it. 3 Love’s Witchstone Follow The Dream with Tettoy Veteran Entries: 2 Absentees: 0 If only all classes could be like this veteran class. 1 Haffenden & Wood’s Ch Witchstone Minnehaha. I Judged this bitch as a puppy and did her very well. On this occasion the owner is different but there is little changed in Minnehaha who seems to defy her years. Ideal for size and overall shape this bitch has a beautiful head and expression due to her keen dark eye and super ear size and set. Lovely length of neck. Super front assembly. Correct bone. Lovely topline and tail set. Compact. Well angulated behind and with well let down hocks. In A1 condition. Out moved most of her younger challengers in the bitch challenge. Unlucky to meet the winner is such good form. Winner of Veteran Group. 2 Francis & Blatchford’s Ch Witchstone Not Apache On Me for Peopleton VW. Another who has won well under me. He is also a beautiful ETT with a lovely head and expression. Another who defies his age. This dog is so good going around unsurprising as he is so well made. My only criticism is that I would like him a fraction smaller all over. Puppy Bitch Entries: 3 Absentees: 0 1 Crowley’s Adargwn Geneva. Very promising young lady who has all the essential to do well. Good head of good length and which is lean and not coarse in any way. Good neck and shoulder. Nice front, with good depth to the chest for a young bitch. Compact. Well cut up at the loin. Nice overall shape. Moved well in all directions. 2 Witchstone Silent Prayer. This bitch is quite exquisite. When I saw her stacked on the table I really was struck by her and was sure she was for high honours. Indeed she is beautiful to go over. She has the most beautiful feminine head yet without weakness. Beautiful eye. Good ears of correct length and shape. Her topline is ideal and in no way exaggerated. Good rear angulation. Unfortunately, the weather and the fact she has had a previous bad experience with a judge meant she wasn’t settled on the table nor on the move. However luckily, she is in expert hands and once she gains confidence and matures through, I am pretty sure she will be one to watch. When she co-operated, her action is very typical. In Junior bitch she was much more collected and won that class. 3 Amalric Mandisa Iddy Junior Bitch Entries: 2 Absentees: 0 1 Witchstone Silent Prayer. Second in Puppy. 2 Ettology Cherry Bakewell at Troysel. This is a quality bitch. Good head and expression. Well-made front with good bone and feet. Deep narrow chest and well ribbed. Nice topline and tail set. Good back end with good angulation. I just preferred the length of head and overall expression of 1. Post Graduate Bitch Entries: 2 Absentees: 0 1 Adargwn Geneva. Winner of puppy. 2 Moretonia Royal Wren. Nice bitch of good size and overall shape. Correct head proportions and length. Well placed thin ears of correct size. Would prefer a slightly more almond shaped eye to complete the expression. Neck of good length and nicely arched. Nice topline which is not exaggerated. Pleasing hindquarters. In good hard condition and moved very well. Limit Bitch Entries: 4 Absentees: 0 1 Lasagesse Black Magic Woman. Quality ETT bitch who impressed with her overall size and style. She presents a very nice outline with little exaggeration. Quality head and expression with super eye and ear. Good length of neck, well placed shoulders and good front assembly. Pleasing topline and underline. Correct hind angulation and well-muscled up. Moved very well in all directions with good extended trot. Considered for the RCC. 2 Amalric Coco Chanel with Dalmonde JW. Another quality bitch who pushed 1. Many of the attributes also apply here. Good head and expression. Nice for overall size. Very typey with lovely topline. Nice hand quarters. Moved very well, just preferred the front on 1. 3 Neerodan Thyme Bomb Open Bitch Entries: 5 Absentees: 0 Very good class. 1 Ch Witchstone Unexpected. This is very smart ETT bitch who quite rightly has her crown. She is rather beautiful and completely filled my eye today. Unexpected has a lovely typical head piece, feminine but with strength to the foreface. Nice length and lean. Good dark eye and high placed ears of correct shape and size. Wonderful neck into shoulder. Super clean front with good bone, good depth of chest. Super feet. This compact bitch appealed for both her topline and underline with correct cut up loin. Lovely, rounded rump. Good hind angulation. In good jacket which is correctly marked for the breed. Moved precisely in all directions and with desired front action. Good rich tan and no sign of breaching. She came back into challenge with a different handler which in no way fazed her and she continued to please me. Delighted to award her the CC and BOB over her kennel mate. Did the breed proud in the group where she was unlucky to get placed. 2 Ch Nasabe Play The Game JW. Different in style to 1. Easy to she why she also is in the top house. Many of the attributes of 1 also apply here. Another with a quality head and expression. Lovely eye and ear. Super for size and overall shape. Preferred the strength and arch of neck of 1. Super shoulder. Correct front assembly. Lovely hindquarters which are well angulated and are solidly muscular. Moved very well with typical action.
