I found the mini longs presented to me today a real challenge and overall, quite disappointing, the good ones stood out a mile and some classes I had several good ones but far too many for me lacked breed type. So many creams with poor pigmentation and fluffy coats, poor movement both front and back and several which lacked the bold defiant temperament that the breed should display.

1. Hanishan Ice Fox (Miss Woodvine-Shone) – 10m B/T with an attractive head, good length of neck, shoulders a little upright and needed a longer upper arm. Good ribbing, balanced rear. Moved well in profile with decent reach and drive.
2. Hanishan Firery Fox (Mrs C May) – Red with a lovely head and neck, balanced front and rear angulation. Moved ok when settled, needs more confidence.
3. Czarujący Lorcan Ufna Morda (Mrs E Horbulewicz)

1. Minard Darque Red for Devondax (Miss K Small) – 17m rich red dog with a classy head, excellent pigment, good length of neck leading into well angulated shoulders, good bone and feet. Ribbed well back, slightly over angulated rear but he used it well on the move when settled. Has a habit of holding his head very upright which throws him off balance but when he relaxes looks good on the move.
2. Allerbach’s Tiger Moth (Ms A Gordon) – Lovely head on this cream dog with excellent pigment. Good shoulder, well boned with good feet. Would prefer longer ribbing and needs to tighten behind on the move.

1. Allerbach’s Tiger Moth (Ms A Gordon)
2. Code Red Again at Arlatdax (Miss C & Miss C Morrin & Barbi) – Rich red masculine dog with a good head, excellent front constructions. Ribbing could be longer, tail a little high set which spoils his outline. Moved well. Would prefer slightly less of him.

1. Bronia Wolfgang Puck (Mrs S A Broad) – red dog of a compact type, head a little plain and would prefer a more almond shaped eye. Decent length of neck, well laid shoulder. Balanced rear. Won this class on his good movement. Coat a little fluffy for my liking.
2. Lyndarlea Just Brian of Irisdax (Mrs T K Yates) – B/Cr 6yr old dog who has a very heavy coat, decent angulation both ends, moved soundly with some drive. Would prefer more width to foreface.
3. Glov Milimetrus (Imp Pol) (Mrs Mb Blachowicz)

1. Summerview Hello Hugo JW (Mrs J & Mr P Phillips) – Typey B/T dog who impresses on the move, excellent head and length of neck, good angulation both fore and aft. Ribbing extends well back. Moves soundly with good reach and drive. Pushed hard in the challenge and I am sure will get his title with ease.
2. Nagshall Dyce The Ice JW (Mrs C Mccarthy) – Cream dog that is rather too long in body and too low to ground. Decent head but lacks pigmentation, decent angulation both for and aft. Moved soundly.

1. Ch Bronia Maverick (Miss E Mitchell) – Smart cream dog of an excellent size and correct proportions, attractive head with good pigment, could use slightly more length to neck, good shoulders and length of ribbing but could use slightly longer upper arms. Good rear angulation. Moved soundly with good reach and drive in profile. DCC
2. Ralines Mcintosh (Mrs R Lockett-Walters) – Good red dog who has a lovely masculine head, good length of neck, good shoulders with a good length of ribbing. Balanced rear. Has a lot of coat and you definitely need to get under it to appreciate this well constructed dog. Could use a little more confidence. Moved soundly with good reach and drive. RCC

1. Kazamours Classic Cream (Mrs K Strevens) – 8m cream with a lovely head, good length of neck, a little upright in shoulder, would prefer a more compact body and needs to strengthen behind on the move but with time should come together.
2. Zilcan Maple Syrup at Sootspren (Miss F Butler) – Very small 8m red with a lovely head and neck, good feet. Moved soundly but needs time to body up. Hope she grows on some.

1. Ralines First Past The Post (Miss H Walters) – This beautiful B/Cr 10m old bitch walked into the ring and I knew there would have to be something amazing to get past her, just loved her, lengthy neck leading into excellent shoulders with good return of upper arm, long well developed ribbing, short loin, well angulated rear, just the right amount of ground clearance to allow her to show off her lengthy stride in profile. She needs to tighten a little behind but that will undoubtedly come with maturity. Such a super temperament with that glint of naughtiness in her eye. Wish she was mine. Up against the lovely open bitch in the challenge she went up a gear and I had no hesitation in awarding her the CC, BOB & BPIB

1. Ch Dandydayo Kiss The Girl (Mr A Whitfield-Roberts) – 3yr old red bitch from the top drawer in her prime, good head, excellent front construction, good in body proportions. Very well angulated rear. Moves so well with super ring presence. In excellent coat and condition. Not seen her in the ring for a while and the break has obviously done her good. Pulling out all the stops both in this lovely class and in the challenge but I was captivated by the precocious puppy and she had to settle for a well earned RCC today.
2. CH Tolberg Beez Kneez at Teckeltown (Miss D Mason) – 7yr old red bitch who is so tidy and a lovely type, attractive head, reasonable length of neck leading into well angulated shoulders, super ribbing, short loin and a balanced rear. Moved round the ring with style belying her years. BVIB
