1ST 2452 - Sensha’s One of A Kind (Mrs N & Mr D Willy)

A fabulous start to the day! A beautifully presented, well grown 6 month puppy dog. With a masculine outlook and strong neck through to the body there is not a lot I would change about him . Excellent tail set. Movement is exceptional for his age and his character lovely. His overall proportions are beautiful , giving a stunning outline. Very close to the CC winner, of which I have no doubt he will accrue several in the future. Res CC, Best Puppy and Utility Puppy Group 1. Congratulations!

1ST 2430 - Ruthdales I Predict A Riot (Mr M & Ms J Bostock & Armstrong)

Lovely. Well grown male who again is beautifully presented in good double coat. Good outline and proportions with excellent body and good straight legs. Good for bone and well muscled throughout, especially 1st and 2nd thigh. A good mover covering ground easily and with a tidy side gait and straight on the up and down.

2ND 2427 - Stecal’s Nakodo Gunfyre (Miss F & Mrs R & Mr P Bevis & Corr & Jiang)

Another promising male. A headstrong young man who gave his handler a hard time. He has a lovely head, and eye. Good reach of neck and firm body with good prosternum. Firm coupling. He looks lovely stacked. I preferred the movement of the winner.

929. Akita - Post Graduate Dog

1ST 2440 - Colmillos Still As Mountain (Miss A & Mr O Hutton & Walker)

Masculine boy who has a very nice head and eye. Built on more athletic lines than most of my winners today, he shows a very scopey side gait covering a lot of ground with his moderate angles. I would like more spring of rib. Well presented and handled.

1ST 2446 - Red Dils Million Reasons for Rovijuca (Imp Cro) (Mr Carl & Mrs Julie & Mr Rohan & Mrs Vikki Nicholls & Nicholls & Oorloff & Oorloff)

A lovely head on this boy and with a masculine outlook. Good eye and well set ears. Good front angles and neck. Didn’t do himself justice on the move. Again, well presented.

2ND 2450 - Heartdog Aspire to Inspire (Imp Rus) (Miss T Weaver)

Excellent masculine head and body with strong coupling. Standing a little longer in profile than 1. This boy was in good coat, well presented and handled well. He seemed a bit unsure at times.

931. Akita - Open Dog

1ST 2431 - Sp/por/gib Ch Ruthdales Born to Be Legend (Mr M & Mr J Bostock & Sanchez)

Just love this chap. All male but without any coarseness he scores highly on the move in all directions. Stacked, he is undeniably male with a well proportioned head and well set ears of correct size. Lovely front assembly and strong through the body and coupling. Glorious colour which glowed in the sun today. I have a pamphlet titled ‘A rainbow of Akitas’ which was produced in the early days of the breed to show the variation of colour you can get; I don’t see some of them nowadays. Well set on tail. Rear angles match the front and this shows in the ground covering side gait and the true up and down movement. CC and BOB, my first given and probably my last.

2ND 2442 - Multi Ch Estruphus' My Dynamic Task Force (Imp Nld) (Mrs C D & Mrs L Iason & Lykke Huls)

A strong stallion male. Good head of correct proportions and dark eye. Well placed ears. Very strong neck and powerful through the body and coupling. Strong bone. Excellent in so many areas. Moving out, he shows a good reach and drive. I preferred the foot placement on the up and down of the class winner.

3RD 2437 - Lsa Sundancer at Travistock (Imp Rus) (Mrs J Hopkins)

933. Akita - Minor Puppy Bitch

Entries: 5 Absentees: 2

1ST 2434 - Meiho’s Flame of A Legend (Mr E & Mrs N Duffield)

This young lady has the most lovely profile when stacked and on seeing her with her father the BOB winner, afterwards, it is no wonder that I thought highly of her. She needs to grow into her ears a little I feel, but this will happen. The rest is just right. Proportions, bone, coat, good body and strong coupling.

2ND 2444 - Mamoru Girl's Best Friend for Shyllar (IKC) (Mr C & Mrs J Nicholls)

Excellent bone and presentation on this girl. Has a good outline for this age. Head is quite strong and neck and boy very well developed. Coupling could be shorter. Preferred movement of 1.

3RD 2448 - Sensha's Hot Coco at Affrhoda (Mrs H Pritchard Jones)

936. Akita - Post Graduate Bitch

Entries: 2 Absentees: 1

1ST 2432 - Inuita Moonshine (Mr R Braund-Phillips)

Such a nice bitch who enjoyed her day today. Scores in many departments; head, neck, body, especially good short coupling. Strong topline kept on the move. Sound in all directions. Should do some handy winning.

937. Akita - Limit Bitch

1ST 2447 - Estava Rain World in My Eyes avec Overhill (Mr Isaac Preddy)

Well, I had a tear in my eye when I saw whose name was on this most beautiful girl. Meg Purnell-Carpenter presented the first ever Akita seminar that I attended, before they had CCs. This is a lovely female with a feminine outlook and lovely head and expression. Well boned but with everything in proportion. She was beautifully presented and handled. I understand this was her 2nd CC and know the Crown will come soon. Good luck with her.

2ND 2436 - Calicelesti Hey There Lilah of Natlou (Miss N & Mrs J Hickson & Watson)

Longer cast that the winner but still many attributes. Excellent angles both ends but she did not want to show them on the move. Was OK to be gone over but she did not cooperate on the move.

938. Akita - Open Bitch

1ST 2429 - Ch Stecal's Another Level (Ms C & Ms F, Mrs R & Mr K Bevis, Corr & Venezia)

Feminine girl of correct proportions and presented a lovely outline stacked. Expressive head and well set ears.

2ND 2435 - Meiho's Drop The Beat (Mr E & Mrs N Duffield)

Another lovely girl to behold. Extremely happy to be here and with a lovely demeanour. I don’t particularly like dogs with nothing going on behind the eyes, but this lass was out to enjoy her day. And so it should be! Balanced head and eyes. Strong body and coupling. Preferred the overall outline and angles of the class winner today. Moved out soundly.
