NORTH OF ENGLAND ROTTWEILER CLUB 3.2.2024 JUDGE : Graham Cruse ( Australia )

Thank you so much to the Officers and Committee for inviting me to judge at the first Championship show of the NOERC, such a great honour for me. Thank you also to all the exhibitors for a great entry of 95 dogs and also for being sporting, courteous and kind to your fellow exhibitors. This made for a great day that we can all look back on with fond memories and a smile.

1st Chaffe’s Victoria Secret Titanium Rott (imp HRV). Lovely young 8 months old bitch, well balanced, has a very good head and expression with great dark eyes. Correct bite and mouth, correct level topline, good body and shape. Moved well for a young puppy.

2nd Courtney-Baughan’s Jezeve Déjà vu avec Whisperdown. She is a very good promising puppy of 7 months. Has good clean lines, very good head type and very good topline. Moved ok but the winner had the edge on the move.

3rd Plimmer’s Victorem Cracklin Rosie

1st Eyre’s Chantavory Je Vous Amie, Almost 1 year old, she is a lovely puppy with a very good head and expression. Super dark almond eyes, correct bite. Has a correct level topline with good set on of tail. She has a lovely outline with femininity. Moved very well.

2nd Lambert’s Seittor Voodoo Spell. 11 months old. Again, she is a lovely puppy, has a good dark eye and correct bite, she is not quite as feminine in expression as the winner, but is still very good. Has a lovely outline and moved well.

3rd Mulhall, Pinky & O’Sheas Just ask Faith O’Shea (imp SWE).

1st Lambert’s Seittor Cast a Spell. She is an absolutely beautiful 11 mths old bitch. Very well balanced throughout with such a super clean outline. Lovely head and expression, dark brown eyes with that desirable calm gaze. Has a great flow of neck into shoulder, her topline is level and runs down to a correctly set and carried tail. She moves so well for one so young, with such balance and is so well put together. I am sure she will have a great future and I was delighted to award her the Res CC & Best Puppy in Show.

2nd Dunhill-Hall’s Teigan Juliette by Fantasa. Yet another lovely bitch of 17 months, with a very good head and expression. She has a great solid body, correct level topline, great mahogany markings, moved very well with reach and drive.

3rd Borne’s Starrosa Dance with me at Trevearl.

1st Carmichael & Yardley’s Stairvale Gisele. Almost 2 years old, she has a very good outline, level topline, good forechest & turn of stifle. Her head is good and she has a correct bite and mouth and dark oval shaped eyes. Marking are a very good mahogany colour.

2nd Brereton’s Casey Wizard Montnegro Rott(imp MNE). 18 mths old, good dark brown eyes, she is a nice style of bitch with a good topline and good movement. Slightly over angulated in the hindquarters.

1st Tomlinson’s Olearia Queen of Hearts. 16 months old, lovely bitch, has a very clean and feminine head & expression, with dark eyes and calm gaze. She has a very good level topline and is balanced throughout. Her movement is smooth and effortless.

2nd Plimmer’s Victorem My Funny Valentine. 2 years old, she has a feminine outline and body, with very good level topline. She has very dark expressive eyes and tight well arched feet. Moved well in front, but not as tidy behind.

3rd Jones’ Gouldsven Von Cella.

1st Bateson & Hoole’s Upmont Gypsy Roma. 2 years old lovely bitch. She has very good head type with dark eyes and a very good typical expression. Correct bite and mouth, her body is well balanced and she has an excellent topline. She has dark mahogany markings and moved effortlessly.

2nd Moss’ Chantavory’s Pot of Gold. Another very nice bitch. She is 5 years old, has dark oval eyes, correct bitch and mouth etc. She is balanced in front and hindquarters and has rich tan markings. Moved well.

1st Jones’ Westfalen Love By Design with Olearia. 3 year old feminine bitch who has lovely dark eyes. Clean feminine head and calm expression. She has good spring of ribs and short loins. Topline is nice and level, she moves well and has a very good double coat with good texture.

2nd Coles & Brawn’s Varenka Firestarter for Marvelrott. 3.5 years old. I thought she was a lovely bitch with very good balanced body & outline. She has dark oval eyes, good expression, correct level topline and moved very well. She just completely and utterly refused to completely show her bite. We tried several methods but she was having none of it.

1st Dunhill-Hall’s Ch. Fantasa Lucky Seven. She is an absolutely stunning 2.5 years old bitch with classic head that displays beautiful type, strength and femininity. She has dark, expressive eyes with desirable calm gaze. Correct bite and mouth, good reach of neck which smoothly runs in her well laid shoulders and flows on to her firm level topline. She has a correctly set and carried tail, good depth of chest and body, correct spring of rib and short loins. Well turned stifles provide the drive to effortlessly move her around the ring. Very well deserved Bitch CC & she carried herself through to the end to take BIS against the beautiful male.

2nd Rowarth’s Ch. Darkarmar Selene. Another lovely bitch 2.5 years old in super hard condition. Very good head with dark eye and well balanced body. Level topline, good spring of rib and excellent double coat. Moved very well with reach and drive, pushed the winner all the way but I just felt that the winner had the edge on head type and expression.

3rd Orr’s Ch. Rottsworth Ice Maiden at Tikaram.

1st Moss’ Blushing Bacardy at Chantavory. 10 years old and in great condition for her age. She has a good head type, level topline and holds a great shape on the move. She is balanced , well bodied and has a great coat. Moved very well.

2nd Horton’s Ch. Juffther Happy Bunny JW ShCM VW. 9 years old feminine bitch with a good head type, level topline, good forechest, tight well arched feet. Moved well.

3rd Holden’s Westlodge Xtract Me to Rottknight JW Sh.CM VW.
