Pomeranian Club Of South Wales

Breed: Pomeranian

It was a pleasure to be asked to judge this wonderful breed at the Pomeranian Club Of South Wales open show. Thank you to the secretary of the club and committee for the appointment and to the exhibitors for your wonderful entry. It was a very well run show, which is no easy task when you are running back to back club shows on the same day. Congratulations to Karen Coombs and all involved in making this a smooth and enjoyable event.

Minor Puppy Dog (5)
1. Cawthera-Purdy's. Lireva's Wild And Wonderful. This 6 month old orange male walked into the ring with a cheeky demeanour, and anyone who knows me knows that I like them cheeky and naughty, especially as puppies. He did not disappoint for a youngster and aside from being naughty at times and testing his handlers abilities, he pulled out all the stops. He has a pleasing head which I am looking forward to watching him develop with maturity in this area, dark medium almond shape eye and neat erect small ears, set nicely on the skull. He has a good coat coming through already for one so young, he is short in back and loin with the correct length of neck set well into the shoulders. He is made well in a square frame within a circular package. Straight tail which lay flat over the back, and was high set. He moved well for a baby, true coming and going and held a lovely shape in profile. In the challenge he charmed me and I was pleased to award him BIS, although it was a very close to decision with my more mature male RBIS winner. BPIS.
2. Neve's. Styalways I'm Still Standing. 9 month old orange sable of beautiful type. He has an exquisite head piece already with good proportions. Dark medium sized almond shape eye. He is good to go over and moved well in both profile and on the up and back. Unfortunate to meet todays winner.
3. Grove's. Altina's Name OF The Game For Kazariastar.

Junior Dog (7)
1. Cawthera-Purdy's. Lireva's Wild To Fly The Bear. The orange male at almost 14 months old has the prettiest of heads, with good muzzle shape and length, dark almond shape eye, almost flat skull and well set ears. He is good to go over and moved well once settled, he just seemed to have mind of his own today but forgiven as he is still a young dog.
2. Wilkins. Klassna Sweet Baby Bear. What a beautiful 15 month old orange boy in lush coat. He has the prettiest of head proportions and expression. Dark expressive almond shaped eye. Good skull and ear set, short neck into well laid shoulders, level topline and short in loin. He is good to go over and moved well from his handler. Close decision between one and two today.
3. Neve's. Styalways Here I Am.

Yearling Dog (4)
1. Pope's. My Magical illusion Keisyl. This cream 18 month odl boy has a lovely head and expression. Dark eye and good pigment. He is good to go over upon examination and he moved well.
2. Beinarovica's. Born To Win Junassminis With Kineticpoms (imp Lva) Pretty, pretty 18 month old orange sable. He scored in head. Lovely dark almond shaped eye. Pleasing to go over on the table and moved well, I would just like a bit more muscle in his back end to stabilise this rear movement today.

Post Graduate Dog (3)
1. Firths. Altina's Samson. 2 year old orange sable who has so much to like about him. Lovely for shape and size, and pleasing to go over on the table. He is short in back and loin and carried this shape forward to the group where he moved true. I would just like a bit more finish to his coat length for his outer coat, to finish the picture in the challenge.
2. Allens. Lumillion Miles Away From Divinity. This boy scored in head. 2 years old. He has a beautiful head and expression with delightful dark almond shaped eyes. He is a lovey shape both on the stand and on the move, and with a bit more muscle on the rear he will drive forward from behind even better. He is a lovely boy and this was a close decision today.

Limit Dog (5)
1. Sparrows. Sueacres Kiss Of Love To Casarow JW. This boy impressed me upon entering the ring. His showmanship was on point with his handler and he came here to mean business today. 2 year old orange sable, beautiful typey chap who is pretty but all male. He has a pleasing head and expression which melts the heart with his dark almond shaped eyes staring back at you. His neck is short and well set into the shoulders so on the stand he create that correct Pom shape, accompanied by his correct coat.  He is good to go over from nose to tail and he moved well especially in profile where he held his shape at all times. I was pleased to award him RBD and delighted to award him RBIS.
2. Berringtons. Altina's The Bronx. This boy scores in type and head. What a beauty! 2 years old and in good correct coat. HIs expression melts you but at the same time tells you he's naughty. Good head for proportion and shape, dark almond shaped eyes, small neat ears set well into his coat. He is good to go over and moved well on the ground.
3. Klassna Man Of Mystery

Open Dog (3)
1. Cawthera-Purdy's. Ch Lireva's Flyin Black In Time. You can't deny the condition of this boy and the work his handler must put in. His coat was gleaming. Black 2 year old male of a lovely shape and size. Perfect trim showing off his globular outline on the stand. Pleasing head and dark eye. Good in front and short in neck, set well into the shoulders. Good to go over and moved well.
2. Cawthera-Purdy's. Ch Lireva's Wildest Dreams. Another whose coat condition and presentation can't be questioned, he too was gleaming and in full clear orange coat. Taller male in stature and larger overall in proportions, but he is of quality. Pleasing head with medium dark almond shaped eyes. Small neat ears set well into the coat and high on the skull. He is good to go over and moved well especially in profile, but I preferred the front of the winner today both on the table and in movement. Nevertheless a quality dog.
3. Carters. Reta's Sex In Flames At Breezlyn

Special Open Stud Dog (1)
1. Killicks. Love Fo My Life At Travillion. 2 year old orange male with the loveliest of heads and expressions. Good dark almond shaped medium eyes. He is pleasing to go over and moved well o the ground for his handler.

Veteran bitch (1)
1. Davey's Ch Pomhaven's Gotta Have A Drean At Klassna (imp Can). I have always admired this lady in her younger years and today at 9 years old she did not disappoint. What a vivacious girl she is carrying her age well. In immaculate condition! Beautiful for type and moved and showed well today. Delighted to award her BVIS.

Minor Puppy Bitch (4)
1. Carters. Breezelyn Ginnovation. 7 month old orange sable. Exquisite head piece, dark medium sized almond shaped eye, lovely head proportions. Pleasing to go over on the table in conformation. Carried a lovely shape on the move where she covered the ground well. RBPIS
2. Groves. Kazariastar's Trust in Me. 6 Month old Orange Sable. Prettiest of head, not quite the confidence of the winner today but Im sure that will come with experience. Intelligent dark eye, good to go over ont he table and moved well.
3. French's. Boncombefarm's The Phoenix

Puppy Bitch (5)
1. Cawthera-Purdy's. Lireva's Merry Fly The Bear. This 9 months old girl scores in body and movement. She is good to go over in conformation, where this presented itslef on the ground whilst moving. For me personally I could like a more typical head, but still pleasing.
2. Groves. Altina's Las Vegas Showgirl For Kazariastar. Close decision between these two girls. This girl scores in head with the prettiest of expression. Just didn't quite move as well as the winner today.

Junior Bitch (11)
1. Soulsby's. Tranarwyn Legend On Fire. This girl oozes type. 15 months old with a beautiful head and expression, dark medium sized almond shaped eye. Dark orange sable in good coat. Pleasing to go over on the table. Moved true in rear movement and carries her shape in profile. I liked her size , type and overall quality. Unfortunately in the challenge she let herself down in front.
2. Carters. Mi Misuzi's Flower Power At Breezelyn (imp). 13 month old orange sable. Lovely outline on the stand and on the move. Pleasing head and expression and moved well.
3. Lovell's. Pawsamy's Rose JW

Yearling Bitch (3)
1. Coombs and Watkins. Faithfulgems Pure Heart For Jessiebeths. 18 month old crystal clear cream. She scored in shape with her outline being crisp and sound in movement. Pleasing to go over during examination and sound in conformation. Pleasing head and lovely dark expressive eye of a medium size.
2. Davey's. Klassna Dream Dream Dream. Dark orange sable who is sound in movement. Bigger type overall and not quite the typical head I was looking for but still a quality girl in conformation and movement.

Post Graduate Bitch (4)
1. Allen's. Divinity Amazing Grace. This 2 and half year old girl impressed me. She oozes type and sound on the table and on the move. Lovely head, dark medium almond shaped expressive eye. In abundance of correct coat. I would just like a little more muscle in the rear. It was a pleasure to judge her.
2. Bailey's. Craigivar Black Bramble. 22 month old black girl in good coat. Lovely head and expression with dark eye. Scored in outline on the move and pleasing to go over on the table.
3. Edkbangels Zennia

Limit Bitch (1)
1. Cawthera-Purdy's. Lireva's You Are My Sunshine. 2 year old clear orange. Nice girl with good shape and coat condition. Pleasing head with dark medium shaped eye. Good to go over, although I would like her slightly shorter in loin and back. Moved and showed well.

Open Bitch (6)
1. Davey's. Ch Klassna Time Will Tell. This girl could not be denied today! She is in great condition with an abundance of orange sable coat of correct texture. Now 5 and half year old and wearing her age well for a toy dog. She is good to go over in conformation, pleasing head and expression with darkest of eye and pretty expression. High set small neat ears on a slightly flat skull. Moved true and sound both coming and going and held her outline in profile movement. Delighted to award her Best female today. She is a credit to her owner and breeder.
