Breed: Miniature Schnauzer
Min schnauzer I had a nice but slightly mixed entry to judge today, positives are size on the whole is good, coats( body jackets) were 95% excellent, quarters are strong and not too overdone. Toplines varied a lot and only a small percentage have that correct slightly sloping firm topline with the high set tail. Lots have the flat tails which spoils the picture so much.. The junior dog class was excellent with 3 dogs that I’m sure will become champions which is encouraging for the breed. However there are a lot that have big ears, and poorly set which changes the head and expression so much and there is still a fair amount that are too long in loin, and fronts still remain the big issue in my opinion. Temperament and condition in both sexes was very good and presentation was of a high standard without too much product being used. I enjoyed working through the entry and thank all my exhibitors for their entry and accepting my placings with gratitude.
