German Shepherd Dog

Junior Dog (2,1):

1 Mr A & Mrs L Winfrow & Mccowliff’s Sadira’s Xorrow. This young dog caught my eye the minute he entered the ring. Completely balanced and without exaggeration, superb masculine head having the right proportions, with correctly shaped dark eye, firm under jaw, excellent pigment, with ears bang on top, wide at base and of good height, lovely strong neck, correct withers, excellent angles both fore and good pasterns and correct feet, deep chest and good ribs, top line firm and of good length, leading to strong loins and correct length of croup. So sound out and back with excellent side gait showing real drive and completely co-ordinated with excellent foot fall. Presented in tip top condition, producing such a powerful side gait while still retaining his wither height. This, together with his excellent handling was the decisive factor for him getting the top spot today. Still young and things can only get better for this handsome dog. CC & BOB. Pleased to be informed later that this was his crowning CC and enjoyed watching him put up a great performance later on in the Group that placed him 4th in the Pastoral Group.

Open Dog (2):

1st- Mrs D Hensley’s Ch Desjiem Van De Herdersfarm (Imp Deu). Another impressive dog, masculine of super type, so correct in all departments. Lovely masculine head, completely balanced , excellent pigment , correctly shaped and coloured eye, correctly set and shaped ears, excellent neck leading to high withers, upper arm and shoulder good for length and angles, tight elbows, strong front legs with correct pasterns and good feet, firm topline and good length, good croup, underline mature, excellent hindquarters, moved soundly out and back and showed good drive in hind quarters, easily won this class but when it came to challenge I felt the CC winner had the edge on side gait, I’m sure the two would change places at any show. Quality dog overall shown in such fabulous condition and expertly handled. Res.CC.

2nd- Ms M Lakin’s Ch Blerio Bezique at Mascani. Darker dog, smart, preferred the stronger head and hind movement of winner, excellent chest width & depth, good front back assemblies, correct topline which he held on his sound movement.

Veteran Dog (1):

1 Mrs S & Miss F Kearnan & Wilson. Ir/nl/be/lux/hr/ch/int Ch Clynalwin's Nukon. 8 year old with a good head, a bit heavy on the shoulders today, deep chest, good topline, shown in good condition and moved well.(Best Veteran)

Junior Bitch (1):

1 Mrs C Elliott. Sadira's Yokko for Ellroost. Young middle sized bitch, lovely feminine head, balanced and having the right proportions, good eye shape and colour, correctly set ears, good mouth with strong underjaw, good pigment, with her spacious and powerful harmonious side gait, excellent neck length, high withers, her upper arm and shoulder angle and length are correct , tight elbows, good depth of chest, strong front legs, correct pasterns and excellent feet, firm topline and correct underline, excels in croup moulding and length, perfect hind angulation with great muscle tone, neat short and powerful hocks, completely sound out and back showing good width, her side gait was super, spacious, powerful and effortless, shown in peak physical condition, skilfully handled to get the very best from her, strong temperament. Still young and will certainly improve further with age. I thought her consistent, harmonious side gait and correct fore and aft movement were decisive today to award this bitch the CC.

Open Bitch (1):

1 Mr A & Mrs J Chen’s Ir Ch Brineack Giselle. 6 year old, having a lovely femminine head with good eye and correct ear placement, good mouth, strong in neck with good feet and deep chest.
