Cocker Spaniels Bournemouth 2024

Minor Puppy Dog (1)

1. Purdyspride Rave On

A very attractive young dog, eight months old. A typical merry Cocker. He looks a little long-coupled on the stack, but shortens up on the move. Attractive, masculine head, excellent skull, well filled out in muzzle, attractive expression. Correct bite. Well set ears. Average neck. Moderate, but balanced angulation both ends. He already has big ribs. Firm, straight topline, well set tail. In an excellent blue roan coat. He moved soundly and purposefully, at all times showing his happiness.

Junior Dog (3)

1. Glenbrows Blue Sherbert JW

Compact young dog, would fit into a box. Light blue roan. He is a typical merry Cocker, very well proportioned. Lovely head with excellent skull, lovely expression. Strong neck, well set into his withers. Excellent ears. Short compact body, well set tail. Balanced angulation both ends. In a lovely coat. He moved soundly from all directions.

2. Wilmerella Highlander

A taller, somewhat rangier blue roan dog, well balanced within himself. Another with a very attractive head and expression, but rather excessive skin under his throat. Lovely expression and ears. Longneck, well set, adding a lot to his attraction. Balanced angulation both ends, he makes a striking overall impression. Short body, but needs to gain more width with age. Excellent coat quality, well presented. Moved very well indeed, especially from the side.

3. Clavaire Marrakesh Sky

Yearling Dog (1)

1. Glowhill Silver Arrow At Lapidary

Blue roan dog, very masculine, not small. Attractive body proportions, big ribs. He has a strong, masculine, well balanced head, but I would not want any more cheeks than this. Long neck, well set. Moderate angulation in front. Excellent topline, well set tail. Balanced angulation behind. In a very good coat. He moved parallel coming and going and kept his balance from the side.

Novice Dog (2)

1. Purdyspride Feel The Rhythm

Strong, masculine blue roan dog. He has a head of good length and well filled in muzzle. Strong neck, well set into shoulders. Balanced angulation both ends. Big ribs and good width in the front. Topline could be slightly stronger, especially on the move. In a full coat. He moved well from the side and from behind.

2. Withiflor Gentleman

Black dog. At 12 months old, he could be more comfortable in the ring and did not make much of himself on the move. Standing he fills the eye with lovely proportions and outline. Typical head, medium light eyes, well set ears. Lovely neck into shoulders. Balanced angulation both ends. Needs to gain more width in front and some more spring of rib with age, but what really let him down today was that he did not want to show himself off in movement.

Post Graduate Dog (4)

1. Lindridge Star Attraction JW

A very attractive young blue roan dog, well proportioned and of generally outstanding type and quality, and a comfortable winner of this class. Pleasing skull, lovely expression and excellent head profile, to be critical could do with some more fill in muzzle. Excellent ears. Moderate neck. Excellent topline and well ribbed. He stood and moved very well over his front legs. In a lovely coat of excellent quality, indeed very well presented. An excellent mover from all angles. I liked him a lot and predict an excellent future. ResCC.

2. Villaspaniol Gold Flash

Red dog, masculine and with pleasing proportions. A little lymphatic in his head. Lovely typical character. Moderate neck and front angulation. Elbows could be closer to body. Firm topline and well set tail. Another in a very good coat. He moved like the merry cocker he is, lively and active, keeping his outline and balance.

3. Bruxly Harvest Moon At Whisperwood

Limit Dog (5)

1. Stobytill After The Storm

Strong masculine dog, covering somewhat more ground than I prefer on the stack, but looking very good on the move. Masculine head, beautiful eyes and expression, quite well filled out in his muzzle. Excellent ears. Well set neck into shoulder. Strong topline, could be shorter in his loin. Moderate, balanced angulation both ends. In a very good coat. Looked his best moving around the ring, much in sync with himself and his handler, and quite pleasing coming and going as well.

2. Annilann Mister Spangles At Beckaby JW

A five year old, also looking better on the move than on the stack. Head with length and chiseling. Moderate neck, could be smoother set. Not as shapely as the winner on the stack. Well set tail. Moderate angulation both ends. Well ribbed, giving a mature. Some more attention could be given to his coat, but it has good quality. He came into himself on the move, balanced, sound and synchronized, being more easily overlooked on the stack.

3. Villaspaniol Sunny Delight

Open Dog (7,2)

1. Sh.Ch. Oktumi Major Player

Just outstanding. He is a very well proportioned dog, combining masculine substance with quality. And he has an intensity of type about him that made him a standout in this company. Well set neck into shoulders, excellent topline, beautiful outline. He is well ribbed and has balanced, unexaggerated angulation both ends. Beautiful coat. An attractive, energetic mover with plenty of temperament, a merry cocker doing his very best to show this off his movement. Lovely! CC

2. Sh.Ch. Gilcar Midnight Dream

Another well balanced masculine dog with an attractive outline, combining substance with quality. Another with a very pleasing head, well set neck, excellent topline, but nowhere near the charisma of the winner. His coat is of excellent quality and is very well cared for. Moderate angulation in front, in balance with his read. He is a sound and purposeful mover. Excellent coat. Would be more competitive with some more temperament.

3. Sh.Ch. Wilmerella Outlander JW

Veteran Dog (1)

1. Cooleela Operation Dynamo Wightroche

Very attractive dog, well proportioned and square and of very pleasing type and quality. Typical, well proportioned head with dark and expressive eyes. Low set ears. Strong neck, moderately long, well set into his body. Short loin, well set tail. Balanced angulation both ends. In a very good black coat. Moved soundly and efficiently.

Special Beginners Dog or Bitch (8)

1. Alberteam Minerva

A really good bitch this and a standout in the class. She is well proportioned, well made and has an overall quality about her to make her very noticeable. Lovely feminine head with excellent expression. Moderately long neck, very well set into shoulders. Firm topline, short loin, well set and carried tail. Merry temperament. She has moderate, balanced angulation both ends. Stood well over her feet. Should go on to much greater things than winning a class like this and indeed she did on the day. Well presented. Moved well from all angles, but could benefit from some more speed.

2. Villaspaniol Gold Flash

3. Cachel Pop The Question to Meloneras JW

Minor Puppy Bitch (2)

1. Ryallcourt Modern Millie At Glenbrows

A light roan of overall very high quality bitch and with a lovely outline. She has a feminine, well balanced head with ideal length and a lovely expression. Long neck, well set. Excellent topline and tailset. Good forechest for her age, and she stands very well over her legs and feet. In movement she was at time playing up a bit in front, but settled down in the challenge and kept her excellent shape and balanced. A typical merry cocker with a very good future. Best Puppy.

2. Griffial All My Loving

Red bitch, well developed for her eight months old and already with big ribs. Feminine head if not up to the winner. Rather high-set ears. Strong neck. Well angulated in front. Short loin, pleasing tailset. Could do with some more angulation of stifle. Very good coat. Not as consistent in her balance on the move at this time, if sometimes looking good, but tending to side track coming and going.

Puppy Bitch (1)

1. Glantreath Ovation At Oktumi

At eight months hold, this bitch is very mature and has a lovely balance. Ideal length of leg to length of body, making a definite square. Attractive, feminine head, dark eyes. Medium length of neck, very well set. Firm topline. Well set tail. Very balanced angulation both ends. Big ribs. Excellent bone and very good feet. She is a very balanced mover, strong and purposeful and merry. Lovely coat, well presented. A strong contender for best puppy, but not performing as well in the challenge.

Junior Bitch (11)

1. Albertean Minerva

2. Yokotai Queen of Chaos

A lovely bitch standing, well proportioned and very shapely. Feminine head with lovely expression. Well set ears. Long neck, well set into shoulders and a firm strong topline, well set tail. Enough spring of ribs for her age. Balanced angulation both ends. Lovely coat and presentation. Somewhat inconsistent on the move, she is sound enough, but did not always carry herself as well as I would think she could. Still definitely a quality bitch.

3. Wilmerella Memphis Belle

Yearling Bitch (9)

1. Yokotai Queen of Chaos

2. Wightroche Calla Lilly

Black bitch of very pleasing type and quality. She is well balanced with no exaggerations. Attractive, feminine head, strong neck with good length, well set into shoulders. Strong, firm topline, short loin, well set tail. Moderate, balanced angulation both ends. Very good legs and feet. In a very good coat. Lovely coat. Not making the very best of herself on the move, sound coming and going, but could be more supple from the side and use fewer steps to get around the ring.

3. Wilmerella Fantasy At Belcroute

Novice Bitch (3)

1. Albertean Minerva

2. Chativore Sea La Vie

Well proportioned roan bitch with quality. She has a well-shaped feminine head, well set and long ears. Good neck into shoulder. Could do with a better layback of upper arm and elbows closer to body. Firm topline, tending to be a little sloping. Well set tail. Well angulated, strong rear. She has very good drive from the rear, but could settle in front movement. Very well presented and handled.

3. Merry Cocktails Spice of Life At Frieljoanipa

Graduate Bitch (4)

1. Yokotai Queen of Chaos

2. Stobytill Bootylicious

A bitch who came into her own in movement, very co-ordinated and with excellent drive. Standing she is very pleasing as well, if a little anonymous. Very good length of leg and pleasing proportions. Very good head and expression. Enough neck, her net-set could be a little smoother. Firm topline, well set tail. Acceptable coat. She stood well over her legs and feet, but it is on the move that she makes a difference.

3. Manchela Little Tease JW

Post Graduate Bitch (4)

1. Annaside Winter’s Moon

A very well proportioned bitch, well up on legs and with a short body. Attractive, expressive head with a full muzzle. Well set ears. Pleasing rise of neck. Moderate, balanced angulation both ends. Lovely coat, dark roan colour. She used her legs well on the move, but not with quite the balance she showed on the stack.

2. Annilann Miss Scary Poppins JW

A bitch who filled my eye on the stack. She has very attractive outline and balance. Kind expression from a feminine head and dark eyes. Excellent neck and front. Strong topline. Well set tail which she could use more actively, especially on the move and then looses some of her outline which is a pity as she is otherwise truly lovely bitch. Lovely coat.

3. Brackenjack Bit of Allsorts at Beckaby

Limit Bitch (8)

1. Oktumi Painted in Diamonds for Jernito

A particularly good bitch of excellent type and quality, blue roan. She has an attractive head, feminine, well chiseled and with the darkest of eyes, giving her a lovely expression. Very well set neck into shoulder, shorty body, pleasing spring of rib. Well set tail. I would not want any more length of hindquarter than this. Very typical in balance and attitude on the move, showing great cocker temperament. resCC

2. Chativore Violet Sky

Another very attractive and well proportioned bitch., not unlike the winner. Strong bitch head. Neck of pleasing length, well set into shoulder. Excellent topline. Balanced angulation both ends. Coat not her fortune. Another positive mover, retaining her shape and balance.

3. Annilann Miss Magicstar at Neckaby

Open Bitch (6)

1. Sh.Ch. Coedcernyw Calendar Girl JW

A super red bitch, truly outstanding for her balance, proportions and outline as well as for her exquisite breed type and overall quality, you cannot ask for a more classical Cocker than this. A bitch that illustrates the breed standard, her imperfections are so minor and her qualities so obvious that they need not be mention. Great mover from all angles, she won with something in hand the CC & BOB and Best Veteran.

2. Fin.Ch. Triplet Queen of Queens

Attractive, feminine blue roan bitch. She has enough length of leg. Expressive head, very attractive. Excellent neck into shoulder. Firm topline, but at times she could look a little high behind. Well angulated behind. Lovely coat quality. She came into her own in movement, active, sound and synchronized.

3. Withiflor Bird on the Wire Over Wylyeview

Veteran Bitch (1)

1. Fernstone Speckled Wood

Feminine liver roan bitch at nine years old. Quite refined in head, could do with some more fill under eyes and in her muzzle. Pleasing neck. Moderate angulation both ends. Firm topline. Very pleasing coat. Movement not her fortune on the day.
