Puppy (1)

1. Picasso Succession of Baron Lizanthe

Basset Bleu De Gascogne. Masculine dog with a very pleasing head and expression and a firm topline. Very good ears. Quite good neck and return of upper arm. He still needs to drop down a bit in his brisket for optimal balance. I would like a sounder pastern, tending to knuckle over on the left one. Shapely, well set tail. He moved with a pleasing balance from the side, but has room for improvement coming and going. Best Puppy.

Junior Dog (2)

1. Rivus King Philip of Lizanthe

Basset Blue De Gascogne. Attractive dog, well balanced and with an excellent outline that he kept on the move. Typical head with quality, his eyes could be darker. Excellent ears. Strong neck and good return of upper arm. Could be straighter in his front legs even for the breed. Excellent topline. Balanced angulation behind. He moved very well, specially from the side. Reserve Best Dog

2. Scenterbay True Grit

Black and Tan Coonhound, Strong, masculine dog, well developed for his age. Very masculine in head, could do with some more refinement. Excellent ears. Strong neck, well set into a firm topline, sloping croup. Deep and capacious chest. He was a sound mover from all angles, if not very concentrated and making funny sounds.

Post Graduate (1)

1. Kantilou Mischief

Basset Blue De Gascogne. A well made dog of pleasing type and quality, but I would prefer him more masculine. Could do with more length of head and darker eyes. Well set and carried ears. Pleasing forechest and depth. Firm topline, covering enough ground. Moderate, balanced angulation behind. Rather thin tail. Moved with plenty of animation, tending to be a little busy, but kept his balance well.

Open (2)

1. Kantilou Madness

Basset Bleu De Gascogne. Well proportioned dog with a very attractive outline. Typical head with good length, well set and carried ears. Crested neck. Pleasing forechest. Would prefer slightly more bone. Deep and capacious body with very strong topline, well angulated behind. He moved soundly and kept his balance at all times. Best Dog and Best AV Import Register Hound.

2. Covehithe Steam Boat Willy

Black and Tan Coonhound. A big strong dog, very sound and healthy, but I would prefer some more elegance and refinement to him overall. The same goes for his head. Beautiful expression, excellent ears. Strong neck which could do with some more elegance. Firm, deep and capacious body. Balanced angulation both ends. He looked his best in movement as he is sound and dynamic. Beautiful coat and colour, well handled.

Veteran (2,1)

1. Oak Hill’s Lady Liberty

Black and Tan Coonhound. Almost nine years old, feminine bitch of pleasing type and quality, but I prefer her more up on legs for optimal balance. Expressive head from her dark eyes, pleasing head planes. Strong neck, good forechest. Deep and capacious body. Strong topline, acceptable tailset. She moved with normal soundness, but I wish she would lift herself more off the ground to look more stylish. Best Veteran.

Post Graduate (2,1)

1. Raekune Miss Daisy

Black and tan Coonhound. Feminine, elegant bitch of very pleasing overall appearance. Typical head planes. Her expression could be more relaxed and her eyes darker. Excellent ears, long and folded. Crested neck of medium length. Balanced angulation both ends. Excellent topline, pleasing tailset. She moved soundly and efficiently, if not giving her all as she was a bit stressed. Res Best Bitch.

Open Bitch (2)

1. Stonemartin Ailbe with Katanga ShCEx

Azawakh. A bitch with a very typical silhouette, long-legged, short-coupled and very dry. Very typical head and expression. Ears are not her best feature. Long neck, well set. Typical very moderate angulation both ends. Typical topline and underline. Lovely coat and colour, typical white socks. Excellent temperament for the breed, but the weather was not on her side today, still kept her balance on the move, needs to be more stable in her front action. Best Bitch and BOS.

2. Kantilou Merriment

Basset Bleu de Gascogne. Typical bitch with an attractive outline, but should be sounder in front and she tended to knuckle over on the left front foot. Pleasing head with length and a typical expression. Very good layback of upper arm and forechest. Pleasing topline. Moved with enthusiasm.
