YKC Members Stakes Working 

1st: WHATSLEY, Miss Sophie & SPENCER, Miss Paige Winter Melody Bring It On

Impressive Siberian Husky who was at his best moving in profile around the large ring, covering the ground positively on a lengthy stride. Well boned legs, ok feet. Firm in topline, strong muscular quarters he used to advantage. Shown in full double coat.

2nd: KENT, Mrs Jo & KENT, Mr Mark & SUTTON, Mr Ashley Korifey Reckless JW

Doberman who presents a good outline standing, masculine head. Straight well boned legs and excellent feet, deep body, firm topline, well muscled in his quarters which he used to advantage on the move.

3rd: KENT, Mrs Jo & KENT, Mr Mark Lyfearon Off With Her Head ShCEx


YKC Members Stakes Pastoral

A strong class.

1st: WALSH, Mr Jake & DAVIS, Miss Michelle Rosschell Maid You Look

Tricolour Australian Shepherd bitch with an imposing outline. Well proportioned head, dark expressive eyes, moderate stop. Clean though the neck and front, medium bone, excellent oval well arched feet. Chest deep, ribs well sprung and carried well back. Moving on a smooth, free easy stride. Coat of good texture, well presented. 

2nd: MACKENZIE, Miss E Shepherds Of Paradise U'r My Gal Naf (Imp Fra)

Another lovely Australian Shepherd bitch, only just 6 months and giving a lot away in age and development to 1. Head of good proportions developing well, moderate stop and dark eyes. Clean through the neck, pleasing forehand and just right for bone. Very co-ordinated and collected on the move for one so young. 

3rd: ROBINSON, Miss K Lavika Moonlight Storm JW


YKC 6-11 

1st: Ellie McGill

Handling a Smooth collie quietly and efficiently, moving her charge at just the right speed and aware of where I was at all times. Accurate patterns and working well with her charge.

2nd: Freya Harris

Showing her Australian Shepherd to best advantage, there was an obvious affinity between dog and handler which was good to see. Moving her charge at just the right pace and using the large ring to advantage.

3rd: Emily Van de Ven


YKC 12-17

1st: Livia Boryc

Showing a Samoyed to real advantage, accurate patterns and shadowing her free standing charge effectively. Presented well and handling unobtrusively. 

2nd: Daisy Nicholas

Showing a Mastiff and impressed me with her patience and kindness to her charge who was not always totally co-operative. Moving at just the right speed and not rushing her dog at anytime. 

3rd: Katie Read


YKC 18-24

1st: Tamsin Blyton

Tamsin showed her Australian Shepherd very effectively and with kindness. Moving at just the right speed and moving in very accurate patterns. Aware of my position at all times, and showing a real bond with her charge.

2nd: Willow Johnson

Willow showed her Shetland Sheepdog very well, moving at a breed typical pace and not rushing her charge at anytime. Showing lots of patience and remaining unflustered when her charge was less cooperative. 

3rd: Ashlyn Wemyss


Adult Handling 17-30

1st: Tamsin Blyton

As previous class.

2nd: Caitlyn Fraser

Showing a Poodle, Caitlyn took advantage of the large ring and moved her charge at a breed typical speed. Just needs to be a little more aware of where the judge is at all times. 


Adult Handling 31-45

1st: Kirstie Venton

Showing an Australian Shepherd, everytime I looked the dog was stood correctly and showing to best advantage, ably assisted by her handler. Moved at a correct pace and Kirstie worked well with hr dog showing a great affinity. 

2nd: Ann-Marie Taylor

Showing a Norwegian Buhund, moving steadily and accurately in all directions. Free standing her dog to good advantage on a long lead and producing a good outline with no fuss.

3rd: Justin Graham-Weall


Adult Handling 46-60

1st: Julie Rivers

Showing her Bearded Collie to best advantage, stacked and shadowing to good advantage and moving at a steady even pace for her charge who was beautifully presented.

2nd: Shiobhan Lea

Quiet effective handler who worked well her Border Collie to stack and show them off in an unassuming way. Excellent patterns and working at one with her charge.

3rd: Ineke Neve


Adult Handling 61+

1st: Ian Wakeling

Showing a Siberian Husky and working effectively with his dog. Moving at a breed correct speed and stacking him well. His charge was presented in excellent condition. 

2nd: Marilyn Gilbert

Showing a Bearded Collie and moving at the correct speed, could be a little more accurate in her patterns. Stacked her dog effectively and they worked well in unison. 



Higham Press Postgraduate Stakes

1st: JOHNSON, Mrs Sue Atlanticbreeze Bailey By Lupinemoon Jw (ai) (ikc)

Medium sized Siberian Husky with a typical outline. I liked his head shape and expression, well set ears. Shoulders well positioned and neck of good length, well boned legs and excellent feet. Strong firm topline, well muscled hindquarters which he used to advantage on the move, covering the ground on an economic stride. 

2nd: BRADY, Mrs Rosalie & LYNN, Mr Jason Afterglow Sky Miles To Bordercot

Blue merle Shetland Sheepdog, of good balance. Head of good proportions, moderate stop, pleasing eyes, well set and a typical expression. Excellent forehand, good bone and beautiful feet. Body of good depth and ribbed well back, still needing to develop a little more all through. Firm in topline and tail well set and carried. Moved very positively fore and aft and presented to advantage.

3rd: BROADBANK, Ms J H Nyandor Never Say Never


The Meriel Hathaway Memorial Open Stakes

1st: HATELEY, Mrs K E Ch Lizmark Lullaby Moon Over Mohnesee JW

Blue merle Shetland Sheepdog bitch of excellent colour. Appealing head and expression, moderate stop, excellent ears, high set and well used. Clean through the neck, shoulders well positioned and with just the right amount of bone and excellent feet. Well proportioned body, firm topline, tail well set and carried. Outgoing temperament and moving out to advantage straight and true and covering the ground easily in the large BIS ring.

2nd: BEDFORD, Mr D King Of Helluland Bianca At Chateaunewf (naf Taf)

Newfoundland bitch with an impressive profile, large head, dark eyes, flat skull. Strong neck, well positioned shoulders, massive bone right to her feet. Deep in body and ribbed well back, firm topline which never faltered standing or moving. Excellent tailset and carriage. Immaculately presented and handled to best advantage, moved out accurately up and down and covers the ground well profile. 

3rd: JOHNSON, Mrs Sue Kentwone Shooter At Lupinemoon


Special Vulnerable Native Breed Stakes

1st: RIVERS, Miss J Orora's French Silk at Merrimak JW

Bearded Collie bitch who presents a good outline standing which she also holds on the move. Feminine head, well proportioned, dark expressive eyes. Long neck, well arched, pleasing forehand, bone and excellent feet. Body is deep and of good length, firm in topline, strong in croup. Tail well set and carried. Coat of pleasing texture in A1 condition. Moved out positively with excellent carriage and a good length of stride.

2nd: JERRETT, Mrs Debra Coldelee Eternal Sunshine JW

Sable bitch with an excellent outline, free from exaggerations. Head of good length, flat skull, well rounded muzzle. Medium sized eyes well set and of a good colour, pleasing expression. Muscular neck, shoulders well positioned, deep body, firm topline. Tail well set and carried, moved easily on a long stride. 

3rd: FITZPATRICK-GRAHAM, Ms Paris Jay-Andraste Ancksunamun Hallows Eve JW
