Hungarian Vizslas 

It was really good to see so many people staying to watch Special Beginners right through to BIS,BPIS & BV .. the Gundog Society of Wales deserve so much accolade for putting on such a good show ..you were all amazing .  

Thank you all so much for your enthusiasm in coming to Malvern in such wet & bad driving conditions, it was very appreciated.

I have a couple of comments to make generally insomuch that the tight, round cat-like feet were not present in a quite a lot of the breed, some of that might have been due to long nails which certainly showed up being on solid floor..Also height .. the 57-64 cm for males & the 55-60 cm for bitches just needs to be remembered. The breed is such an elegant and beautiful breed …it would be a great shame to lose the traits that makes the HV so special 

PD. 3.1 Watson’s Oakswarren Trickster..lovely young 6 month old puppy, look forward to watching him grow ..handsome head in the making good nicely shaped eye & muzzle, really sound body just right for his age and good top line .. moved so well & soundly on good feet. 

2. Challis’s Vizslanya Domenkos. Good head & nicely shape jaw, good depth of chest, sound body & spring of rib just right for age, good rear. Lovely rich colour, moved okay .

3 Mellish’s Vizslanya Vulkani. Happy puppy, with pleasing head, good chest forming .. 

JD. 2.1. Miles & Watkins’s Kincsen Break Every Rule .. I think this young dog is certainly going to break every rule by reaching the very top in the show ring ! Super head ,dark well shaped eye, with well shaped muzzle, & nice broad nose, strong arched neck, well laid shoulders, good depth of chest, well sprung ribs just right for his age, super hindquarters, moved elegantly yet lively on cat-like feet covering the ground .. handled to perfection .. DCC & BOB that gave him his crown & shortlisted in the group. 

2. Senior’s Oakswarren Feel the Heat.. pleasing head & eye, good moderate stop. Strong slightly arched neck & good shoulders, good depth of chest, level top line, good strong loin & rear . Held his top-line very well when moving on good feet.  

Novice 2.1. Challis’s Vizslanya Valor. Nice 6 month old puppy, pleasing head & shoulders, good depth of chest just right for his age, good strong loin & rear angulation developing, moved well.

2. Cavaye’s Kenxtwen Aberdulais , Happy dog, full of energy, good head, good top line, just needs to settle down, moved okay 

PG 5. (1). 1.Curzon-Price’s Kentworth Dreamer , good honest dog, nice size pleasing head with dark eye & good muzzle, good depth of chest, shoulders, and good rear angulation, moved well on tight feet holding top line .

2. Reakes’s Vizslanya Varur with Thrihyme JW . Good head with super dark eye, good shoulders & strong loin, good feet, moved well, just preferred size of 1.    

3. Senior’s Nemzet Kincse Ipa of Alazsdale (imp) lots to like about this dog, not quite 2 years old, pleasing head , strong neck & good top- line

Moved okay .

 L. 4.1. Scourfield & Kantor’s Maserati of Skyrocket at Danton (imp)

Such a sound & very honest vizsla, lovely size, with correct head, dark well shaped eye, strong neck going into good shoulders, good spring of rib, super topline, strong loin, correct rear angulation moved very well on tight feet. 

2. Martin & Martin & Green’s Goviz Spring Rains by Viszaset (ai) pleasing dog, with good masculine head, dark eyes, good neck & shoulders, and chest, pleasing top line, good rear angulation , moved well. 

3. Warnes’s Debian Deerhunter JW Bigger type, good head & good shoulders, good top line, went well round the ring . 

OD. 3.1. Berlin’s Oakswarren Fire Kraker with Roughshoot (ai) liked this dog very much, super size, very pleasing masculine head & dark eye, nicely shaped muzzle, strong slightly arched neck & good shoulders, good depth of chest, good ribcage & strong short loin, good rear angulation, moved very soundly and well on tight catlike feet ..well deserved RDCC.

2. Watson’s Sh.Ch Oakswarren Inferno. So much to like about this dog, loved his size, correct head & eye, very good neck & shoulders, good spring of rib & strong loin, very good rear angulation, moved well, but preferred 1 on the move .

3. Challis’s Viszlanya Aragonia JW ShCExOSW. Lovely gentle expressive dog, nice head & such a kind eye, good strong neck & shoulders, good body & topline, moved okay ..

V.1. Kierly’s Gunfield Phantom, handsome dog, with dark eye,and very pleasing head, good shoulders & very good spring of rib & strong loin, good rear and good feet , moved well for BV.

SB. 3.(1) 1. Gammon’s Glenbrow Reminiscent .. Attractive size, pleasing head & eye, good shoulders, and good top-line, spring of rib & short loin, rear angulation good and moved very well with handler. BSB 

2. Templar-Bents’s Listerio Princess Aurora ..Feminine bitch, nice kind eye & feline head, neck & shoulders, held topline when moving , moved okay .

PB. 6 (2) 1. Scourfield, Kánton & Ward’s Glenbrows Roulette at Danton

This young bitch reminds me so much of days gone by for size, type & shape .. such a feminine head with that dark well shape eye, correct squarish muzzle, superb slightly arched neck, good shoulders, well shaped body with good ribs & short strong loin just right for his age, excels in rear angulation too, .. moved freely and extremely well. Handled with much thought and care for her youth .. BP & BCC. 

2. Bergin’s Roughshoot Under the Stars Such a happy young 6 month old puppy, so much to like about her with a very feminine head developing, as are her shoulders and even at this young age has a very good topline .. handled well and moved very well for her age.

3. Priestley’s Silvestre Endless Love at Eltrym.. pretty 8 month old happy puppy .. everything about is coming together nicely, moved well when settle 

JB 5. (1) 1. Gottlieb’s Russetmantle Lilou. At just 12 months old this is a lovely sized bitch with a correct head, dark eye, good nose & muzzle, good neck & shoulders, good body & good quarters, moved very well on tight feet holding her topline. 

2. Melvin’s Facanvadasz Demeter . Another very nice bitch, good head and eye, good neck , good shoulders, body slightly longer than 1. Good rear , moved well 

3. Curzon-Price’s Parcroft Destiny .. slightly bigger than 2, but well balanced good depth of chest with good body, moved okay 

YB 2.1. Hardcastle & Bradley’s Castledogley Firenze JW. Lovely sized bitch, pleasing head, with slightly oval eye & well shaped muzzle, good neck & shoulders, good body & rear, good top-line which she held on the move.  

2. Melvin’s Facanvdasz Demeter JW. 

 PG.6.(2) Parker & Gist Glenbrows Calanmity JW elegant bitch, liked her size, nice head & eye, good slightly arched neck, good shoulders, and topline, spring of rib, good rear angulation , moved very well on good feet. 

2. Challis’s Vizslanya Praxis JW.. Pleasing & happy bitch, nice size, good head & shoulders, good chest & body, and lovely top-line on the move, moved well.

3. Warner’s Nordicfield Desert Gold .. pleasing bitch, nice proportions, good neck & shoulders, good top-line, moved okay 

LB. 5.1 Gottlieb’s Russetmantle Maia.. very smart & eligant bitch of pleasing size, lovely head & well shaped eye, good well shaped muzzle. 

Neck has that slight arch going into good shoulders, good depth of chest, well sprung ribs & good rear angulation , super topline particularly on the move, and moved very well on good feet for RBCC. 

 2. Upton’s Vizslanya Mafila to Tragus.. Another nicely sized happy bitch, pleasing head & dark eye, good neck & shoulders, lovely topline & rear angulation, good feet, moved very well indeed once handler slowed down . 

3. Coombe & Coombe’s Amarantos Bella at Castlefield .. such a lot to like about this bitch, nice head & good slightly arched neck, good top-line, moved okay .

OB. 5.1. Hardcastle & Bradley Sh Ch. Viszlanya Sziena JW ShEx OSW. 

Lovely bitch who moved so well, very pleasant head & eye, good neck with slight arch, very good shoulders, good body firm & fit for purpose, good angulation & good feet. 

2. Watson’s Oakswarren Magic in Mind .. another lovely Bitch, loved her size, feminine head, good slightly arched neck, good body with good spring of rib, good rear, moved well. Close up to 1. 

3. Warner’s Vizslanya Csibe JW Pleasing head & neck, good topline, strong rear, moved well holding topline.
