Hungarian Wirehaired Vizslas.

I really enjoyed judging this breed which I love & have been so involved with since the early 1990s ..

A couple of thing which are so important to remember and which are so much part of the breed is the size, and that is 58 cm -62 cm for dogs, and bitches 54 cm -58 cm with a variance of less than 3 cm. That means a medium sized dog.

And now let’s talk tails .. they are meant to be slightly low set and when moving carried horizontally.. High set tails do not come into the breed standard and certainly not waving happily in the air.  

Saying that I did mostly have really lovely examples of this wonderful breed .. than you all for entering ..I enjoyed going over your dogs very much. 

PD. 1. Upton’s King Fox to Tragus. Very feminine 6 month old, lovely head & dark eye , good neck & shoulders, pleasing chest & body developing slowly & surely. Super wire coat, good tail set… moved very well. BP 

YD. 2. 1 Campbell’s Haywire Texans Vadas, maturing very nicely, pleasing head with dark kind eye, good neck & chest, good top-line & rear, good wire coat, moved very well. 

2. Court’s Twelveoaks Goodwood Pippin, stronger build, nice head & dark eye, clean neck, good topline , good coat , moved well once settled. 

LD. 3. 1. Davidson’s Throstlenest Helios. At the lower sizing of the male breed sizing, Very smart dog with very good coat. super head & nicely shaped dark kind eye, slightly arched neck going into good shoulders, good body & rear angulation. Moved very well on tight feet for RDCC.

Tasker’s Zoldmali Ezmi (imp Serb) Bigger boned dog, nice head with good furnishings , pleasing slightly arched neck, good body & topline , super coat, moved well. 

OD. Summerfield’s 1. Sh.Ch. Miadsc Cast a Spell. Liked this dog for his soundness, nice size, good head & kind dark eye, good neck & bh shoulders & depth of chest, good topline & rear angulation, good coat, well muscled, and moved very well. 

2. Moss’s Sh. Ch Ewtor Barking at the Moon. Another dog of pleasing size and good bone, very pleasing head & dark eye, good neck & shoulders, deep chest, level topline, moved well.

3. Guest’s Ch. Bardantop Banoffee, well boned dog, pleasing head & kind eye, strong neck & shoulders, good depth of chest, good topline, moved well. 

VD. 1.. Upton’s Sh. Ch Tragus Fox Appeal. What a superb 9 year old youngster. Wonderful classic head, and the kindest of dark eye, great facial furnishings, super bone, excellent shoulders, body & rear angulation, moved extremely well on good tight feet, completely belying his age DCC & BV. 

PB 1. Cooper’s Deifstock Dare to Dream. 11 months, interesting one to watch as she matures ,, at the moment at the in between stages, super coat, with so much to like, with nice head & strong neck, chest developing, good topline, moved well on good feet. 

JB 2. 1. Edminson’s Kisdon’s Insignia. Excellent coat. Well boned young lady, pleasing head & dark eye, good neck & shoulders good chest a very good topline, strong loin & rear angulation, moved very well on good tight feet. 

2, Summerfield’s Miadsc Tropical Sunrise .. lovely bitch with very good coat, super head & eye, good shoulders p, good deep chest & good spring of ribs, good rear angulation, just preferred 1 when moving . 

PG. 1. Nokes’s Trebus Tanselle at Goldpaw .. lovely sized bitch, very good coat, good head & neck , neat body with good topline, good rear angulation, moved well on good feet.

LB. 3. 1. Connell & Guest ‘s Bardantop Witchway Bennmorby. Liked this bitch very much indeed, so sound & a lovely size. Good head & well shaped dark eye, good strong neck & shoulders, good topline & rear angulation, moved so very well on good feet for RBCC.

2. Nokes’s Goldpaw’s Five to Midnight ..Pleasing bitch with, nice head & good neck going into good shoulders, good angulation with good topline which she held on the move.

3. Cooper’s Hazean Donetsk to Deitstock ..Happy lady, pleasing size, nice head & good neck, good coat, moved very well once settled.

OB 1. Richardson’s Sh. Ch. Tragus Flighty Fox.. really lovely sized bitch, super coat. Very pleasing head with lovely dark kind eye, good strong slightly arched neck, very good shoulders, good rear angulation, excellent topline which she kept on the move on really good tight feet. BCC & BOB . Shortlisted in group.
