My thanks to the committee for this opportunity to award my 1st set of CCs and for providing me with 2 great Stewards.
I found the hind movement to be an issue today however with several exhibits showing the same lame rear hind leg movement I have seen called “jaunty” before which it is not. However I was happy with my winners and extremely pleased to see that my Best Special Beginner was awarded Gundog Special Beginner Group 4.
Class 353 Special Beginner Dog (4,1)
1st Salmon’s Acadiabyrne Tibetian Coral – Well balanced 2.5 yr old, Good length of muzzle, nice wedged shaped head. Ears well set, good length of neck – Good layback of shoulder, slightly short in upper arm. Level top line held on the stand and in movement, tail well set, ok rear angulation. Tail of correct length – show in good coat and handled well. Best Special Beginner and Gundog Special Beginner Group 4.
2nd Ryder’s Arthunder Dream Come True – Another 2.5 yr, Slightly longer in body than 1. Nice wedge shaped head, gentle almond shaped eyes that blend with the coat, correct bite. Ears well set. Ok fore and rear angulation, level topline both on the move and standing. Would have liked a little more length of leg to balance his body length. Tail set was good and exhibited in good coat and condition
Class 354 Minor Puppy Dog (3,0)
1st Boyd’s Skysaria Eternal Flame - An 8mth old – who appears to have done most of his growing and I hope he does not grow much more as he must be almost to top end of the breed standard for a male. Good length of muzzle with a correct bite. Good wedge shaped head set on a strong neck of medium length. Good fore and rear angulation. Good strong boned legs with tight feet. Good depth of chest and a level topline. Moved Ok. Shown well.
2nd Westwoods’ & McDonald’s Eusanit Loved and Lost – A real baby just over 6mths old. Balanced for his age. Smaller all over compared to 1 but still has growing to do. Good shaped head with correct ear set. Neck of medium length leading into well laid shoulders. Correct angulation for his age and enough bone. Moved well and carrying a heavy coat.
Class 355 Puppy Dog (3,1)
1st Westwoods’ & McDonald’s Eusanit Loved and Lost – Repeat – 2nd in Minor Puppy Dog
2nd Rolf, Parker & Hipkiss Skysaria Blaze of Hope – Litter brother to the 1st in Minor Puppy Dog again another tall puppy who I hope does not grow much taller, he was a little higher in the rear compared to his litter mate, but much of what was written about his brother would apply to him, but he does not have quite the depth of chest at this stage and unfortunately his rear movement was not as positive as 1.
Class 356 Junior Dog (3,1)
1st Bate-Ash’s Sinsircariad Old Fashioned 13mth old A balanced youngster who needs a little more time to mature. Good length of muzzle and well set eyes. Ears well set, neck of medium length leading to well laid shoulders. Straight forelegs leading to neat tight feet. Good length of loin, hindquarters are ok need to muscle up and movement was ok.
2nd Rolf, Parker & Hipkiss Skysaria Blaze of Hope – 2nd in Puppy Dog
Class 357 Yearling Dog (5,1)
1st Parr’s Very Much Kymin of Great Pleasure (Imp Bel) – This dog caught my eye as soon as he entered the ring and was considered for top awards – he is at the top end of the height range and is so well balanced. Good masculine head, with well set ears and good length of muzzle. Strong medium length neck which was well set on. Brisket reaches to the elbow and he has a level topline. Angulation good in both for fore and hind quarters, feet tight and he moved freely.
2nd Burgess’ Redmanhey’s Comte De La Fere – Another dog with a good masculine head and many of the above comments apply to this boy. Not quite as tall as 1 and a little longer in the body, unfortunately his movement was not as positive as 1 today
Class 358 Novice Dog (4,0)
1st Boyd’s Skysaria Eternal Flame – Repeat - 1st in Minor Puppy Dog
2nd Westwoods’ & McDonald’s Eusanit Loved and Lost – Repeat – 2nd in Minor Puppy Dog
Class 359 Graduate Dog (3,1)
1st Salmon’s Acadiabyrne Tibetan Coral – Repeat – 1st in Special Beginner Dog
2nd Sewell’s Littleclose Father and Son to Breakerswell – this boy was not as balanced as 1. He had a good head with a good ear set. Neck was of medium length and set on well. He was a little short in upper arm, but had good straight forelegs and tight feet, his brisket reached to the elbow and a moderate tuck up. I would have preferred a bit more bend to his stifle. Unfortunately out of coat today
Class 360 Post Graduate Dog (5,3)
1st Copeland’s Eusanit It’ll Be Reet at Menstonia - 4year old dog – lovely masculine head with a good muzzle. Ear carriage could be better. Strong muscular neck leading to well laid shoulders and excellent forequarters, brisket reaches to elbow and the ribs were well sprung. Level topline held on move and whilst standing. Hindquarters were ok but he was a little straight in stifle. Feet were neat and tight. Moved well.
2nd Head’s Spriterufus Tarantella - Nearly 3 year old dog, very little white on this boy but a lovely coat in darker shade of red that gleamed. Masculine head with lovely almond shaped eyes and well set ears. Tight lips on a muzzle of good length. Strong muscled neck leading to well laid shoulders. Strong straight forelegs leading to tight feet. Level top line and strong loin – ribs still need to spring a little more to complete the picture. Hindquarter are ok although he is also little straight in stifle. Tail well set. Moved well and was well handled.
Class 361 Limit Dog (6,0)
1st Roger’s Eusanit Peaky Blinder – 5year old dog. Good wedge shaped masculine head, with flat cheeks and a moderate stop. Good length to muzzle with tight fitting lips. Well muscled medium length neck. Well laid shoulders with excellent fore and hind quarters, good tight feet. Well sprung ribs and a strong loin. Tail well set. Moved well RBD
2nd Ward’s Melanita Palmata JW Slightly older dog, Lovely masculine head with well set ears, medium neck leading to good laidback shoulders. Ribs well sprung, slightly longer in body than 1, but held a level top line. Good angulation fore and aft. Shown in a profuse rich red coat which gave the impression that he has too much forechest but once you put your hands on him it becomes evident that he does not. Was a little heavy today but still moved well.
Class 362 Open Dog (8,1)
1st Baker’s ShCh Eusanit Silvr Dream Machine BD & BOB He has done well under me before and is currently in great coat and condition. Excellent wedge shaped head with a moderate stop. Good reach of stride and showed a strong rear drive.
2nd Westwood’s Ir ShCh Eusanit Proper Job JW – Of a very similar type to 1. Excellent wedge shaped head leading to a strong neck, well laid back shoulders, good depth of chest, bone of good substance, feet could be tighter. Long rib cage leading to strong muscular loin. Tail well set and of correct length. Moved well.
Class 363 Veteran Dog (4,0)
1st Fielder’s ShCh Schindow Junior Cowboy with Cretshengan – smaller than 2 but good overall balance. Good wedge shaped head, ears set ok. Medium, muscular neck well laid shoulder. Good angles in the fore and rear, brisket reaches to elbows, good tuck up and strong loin. Level topline. Good coat and condition – the high white was forgiven due to his construction and movement.
2nd Fuard’s Tollelkin Bay of Ice – This boy reminds me of the tollers that I knew when I got my first toller 28 years ago. Larger boy than one, he has good bone and substance, strong head with a good ear set. Well set dark almond eyes. Strong neck, good lay to shoulders, well sprung ribs slightly higher in the rear but the tail is well set. Moved ok.
Class 364 Special Beginners Bitch (1,0)
1st Rolf’s Tollpepper Echo’s Hope for Skysaria – Nice bitch, good wedge head with well set ears, good length of muzzle, flat cheeks. Medium length of neck leading to a reasonable lay to the shoulders. Slightly short in upper arm. Angulation is ok in the fore and rear, straight fore legs and neat round tight feet. Moved ok – well handled.
Class 365 Minor Puppy Bitch (1,0)
1st Westwoods’ & McDonald’s Eusanit What The Fuggle A really sweet puppy of just 6mths – Balanced for the age, good head with well set ears, well laid shoulders with good forequarter and hindquarter angulation. Tail well set on. Profuse coat that made her look heavy but she was not. Moved well.
Class 366 Puppy Bitch (1,0)
1st Golding’s Whenova Pampero – A more mature puppy with good balance, good feminine wedge shaped head with sufficient muzzle length and tight lips, neck of good length leading to laidback shoulders, good fore and aft angulation, would have preferred slightly more dept to brisket. Good straight forelegs and tight feet. Has a level topline on move and whilst standing, and tail is well set. Shown in good coat. Would have preferred slightly more substance all through however she won the BP due to her superior movement to the male puppy.
2nd Westwoods’ & McDonald’s Eusanit What The Fuggle – Repeat – 1st in Minor Puppy Bitch
Class 367 Junior Bitch (4,1)
1st Westwoods’ & McDonald’s Eusanit What The Fuggle – Repeat – 1st in Minor Puppy Bitch
2nd Johnson’s Tarnlaikers Dizzy Rascal – good wedge shaped head with lovely almond shaped eyes although they still need to darken a little, ears were well set and of good shape. Strong neck although it appeared to be slightly longer than I would have liked and it threw her balance off a little. Good angulation both fore and aft, straight forelegs ending in tight rounded feet. well let down hocks and a good tail set.
Class 368 Yearling Bitch (3,0)
1st Roffey’s Camusmor Ca Canny with Acanuck – Well balanced young bitch, lovely wedge shaped head, good length of muzzle with tight fitting lips, well set triangular drop ears of good size. Medium muscular neck, well laid back shoulders, good fore angulation leading to straight strong legs. Level topline on move and standing. Moved well coat not quite as good as 2.
2nd Westwood’s Eusanit Orchard Thieves – Another lovely feminine wedge shaped head, well set almond shaped eyes, strong medium neck leading to well laid back shoulders, good fore and aft angulation, needs to ribs to spring a little more, level topline, good length of loin. Class 371 Post Graduate Bitch (1,0)
1st Davies’ Arelechen Tarry With Me Pray – Small but balanced bitch, good angulation and moved well, nicely marked. Just a little too fine in bone structure.
Class 372 Limit Bitch (9,0)
1st Fielder’s Cretshengan Signy - Lovely bitch of decent size and substance. Well proportioned. Excellent wedges shaped feminine head, good length of muzzle with tight fitting lips. Slight but perceptible stop, ears well set on and used to advantage. Medium well muscled neck leading to well laid shoulders. Good fore angulation, straight strong legs and tight round feet. Good spring to ribs and brisket reaching to the elbows. Strong loin leading to well set on tail. Good rear angulation. White a little high on the legs but forgiven due to the quality of the bitch. Moved with drive.
2nd Westwood’s Eusanit Bay of Fundy – Another lovely bitch and much of the above above applies to her, good head and well set almond eyes, would have liked a little more of a stop. Her fore and aft angulation was good, level topline held on the move and standing. Tail set slightly higher than 1. Shown in good coat and condition.
Class 373 Open Bitch (7,
1st Wakely’s Cretshengan Emerald Lake Litter sister to my Best Bitch and daughter of the RBB, considered for top honours but her mum and sister just had a little more oomph in the challenge. A bitch at the top end of the height but she is in proportion. Good head, muzzle of a good length, flat cheeks and well set eyes. Good set to ears, muscular neck to well laid shoulders. Good depth to brisket and well sprung ribs, level back and strong loin. Correct tuck up, excellent rear angulation. Moved well in the class.
2nd Westwoods’ & McDonald’s ShCh/Ir ShCh Eusanit Gonna Make You A Star – a bitch I have liked from when she was a puppy and was pleased to see her today in fine form. Smaller than one, feminine wedge shaped head, well set almond shaped eyes, would have like a slightly longer muzzle. Strong muscular medium length neck well set on, well laid back shoulders and good front angulation. Straight strong forelegs, well sprung ribs with a long rib cage leading to a strong loin. Show in good coat and condition.
Class 374 Veteran Bitch (2,0)
Probably one of the most difficult classes for me to decide on as both are quality bitches.
1st Fielder’s Ir ShCh Eusanit Best of the Bunch at Cretshengan RBB Mother to the BB and Open bitch class winner. She has the same excellent feminine wedge shaped head as her daughter who could almost be a carbon copy of this girl. Drop ears of good size, well set on, the neck is of medium size and muscular. Shoulders well laid and she has excellent fore and rear angulation. Level topline held on move and when stationary. Strong straight fore legs and the rear have well let down hocks. She moved with drive in the class but her daughter outshone her in the challenge.
2nd Pashley’s Wakaduze Wah Pen Dah Ska – slightly smaller bitch but still in proportion. Good head, slightly longer muzzle than 1. Tight lips and well set ears. Medium length neck leading to laidback shoulders, good spring to ribs slightly longer in body but she has a long rib cage, short strong loin. Shown well and in good coat. Moves with drive.
