ROTTWEILERS
A problem for some time in the breed has been short upper arm and steep shoulders when the standard asks for ‘shoulders well laid back, long and sloping’, which enables the required reach. I am pleased to say that this seems to be less of a problem in some of the younger specimens. Unfortunately, today one of the standout problems seems to be incorrect fronts. Legs should be straight, muscular and have plenty of bone with feet pointing forwards not at 10 to 2.
I withheld placings in Junior bitch, a decision I didn’t come to lightly. My reasons for this were explained to the owner/handlers after completion of judging.
I was delighted with my main winners who should and in some cases have proved, they can win under both breed specialists and all rounders being top quality specimens of the breed.
Last but not least, I would like to thank my stewards who did a sterling job, especially in such Baltic conditions.

1. Dunhill- Hall’s - Fantasa Knock on Wood
7 m old very clean and smart in outline. Head of correct proportions with dark eyes and well-set ears. Good length of neck, well set shoulders, level top and underlines. Nice bone for a youngster and tight feet. Moved out well for his age. A promising puppy.
2. Dunhill -Hall Lee & Lee’s -Fantasa Bet on Red
Another quality pup from this kennel of similar type. He hasn’t at present got the maturity of the winner neither physically nor mentally he is all baby with a short attention span but with time and training I am sure is another with a promising future

1. Dunhill-Hall’s Fantasa Lucky Luciano RCC/BPIB/Working Puppy Group 1/R.B.P.I.S.
11m old and what a quality puppy. Super head and expression, not overdone in anyway. Strong neck of good length, leading into well laid shoulders, level topline. Super straight front, deep chest, well sprung ribs, correct rear angulation. Cracking bone and substance with correct muscle tone for his age. This dog is quality through and through, he moves with reach and drive and is a pleasure to go over and watch. The quality of this boy shows in his results he is a credit to his breeder/owner and is put down in superb condition. This boy is good enough to win anywhere. Was delighted to watch him go Working Puppy Group 1 and to hear he later went RBPIS.
2. Kitchenside’s – Deltarott Din Djarin
Nice looking puppy. Head is clean and well-made but still needs to mature, correct eye shape I would personally like a little darker, but this does not detract from his overall expression. Well balanced and nicely angulated. Movement is good for his age. He is still immature, and now needs to tighten and develop, but everything is there and in time he will make a nice dog.

1. Courtney-Baughan’s – Jhava Black Magic Over Whisperdown
Good honest young dog with a lot to like, he still has some maturing to do, but everything is as should be for his age. Head of correct make and shape. Dark eye, well set ears, strong neck of good length. Good front, tight feet, nicely boned. Chest is deep with spring of rib. Rear is well angulated and nicely muscled. Topline is level, tail well set. He moves out well. Put down in good condition.
2. Goodban’s – Seittor Magic Spell with Keljaygo JW
Another honest youngster, different type to one and of slighter build, but this does not detract from his overall masculinity. He is of good make and shape, but his front is still slightly loose and needs to tighten which it should with maturity. Nicely angulated rear-end with good first and second thigh. Good muscle tone for his age. Put down in good condition and moved with drive.
3. Gee’s – Upend Ellison at Kassmax.

1. Trevett’s - Vonkassell Maverick Sarkay
Stood alone but deserved his placing. Masculine head, with dark eye of correct shape and well-set ears. Markings are correct and a lovely rich mahogany. Very clean in outline and nicely muscled. He was certainly having fun today and making his handler work, very happy boy who was pleasing to go over. Moved with enthusiasm.
OD
1. Adams & Mason’s – Aikido’s Ludicrous DCC
Well balanced honest male with masculine clean head and outline. He moved well in his class but in the challenge the change of handler was certainly to his advantage. Was pleased to award him his first CC after many RCC’s so I’m told. He is certainly worthy enough to gain his title and I hope his other CCs are not far behind.

1. Chamberlain’s Rebeckmar Cass of Rottstar
7 yr old girl who was really enjoying herself, don’t think anyone has told her she’s a Veteran, or she doesn’t believe it. Still shown in peak condition and was a pleasure to go over. She moved well not putting a foot wrong. Long may she enjoy her days out.

1. Dunhill-Hall’s Fantasa Bets Are Off RCC
I shouldn’t have been surprised to hear this girls breeding goes back to my CC & BOB’s as she is an absolute clone of her at this age and should give her big sister a run for her money as she matures. Absolute classic, well-made, well-balanced baby who moved and was handled to perfection.
2. Hopgood’s – Saintlythans Cleopatra
Well, put together puppy. Classic head and expression with lovely dark eye. Correctly balanced, but not as put together as the winner at this age. The make and shape is there and will come together as she matures. She won this class over her litter sister today as at this moment in time her front is better put together.
3. Hopgood’s – Saintlythans Hapi

1. Saintlythans Cleopatra – 2nd MPB
2. Saintlythans Hapi
Litter sister to 1. Very similar remarks apply but they are coming on at different stages. Whilst I preferred her head over her sisters at this stage, the sister had a better front. I am sure her front will tighten and develop, and they will often change places.
3. Macdonald’s - Heidevan’s Carbon Copy at Portnadoran
JB
1. Lefebvre-King’s – Buttonlove She’s Ice Ice Baby
Good head with dark eye. Nice in outline. Front needs to develop and chest needs to drop. Nevertheless, she has good bone, level topline and is balanced. Moved and handled well. Time is on her side.

1. Sweet’s – Europe Teren at Bossrot Rottweilers (imp UKr)
Her general make and shape is good and pleasing to the eye, she is well balanced with a good head, length of neck, very clean in outline. She has good bone but her front and feet need to tighten. Swimming and or road work should help improve this.
2. Kitchenside’s – Mamba Is Rojaus Slenio
Although a different type to one I was nitpicking between the two. She has a stronger but still feminine head, but I felt that 1 had the better front construction. Put down in good condition, moved true.
LB
1. Baillie & Topping’s - Stairvale Grace von Rottsworth
Lovely girl put down in super condition. Her head is strong without being overdone, dark eye, good length of neck, level topline. Correctly balanced and moved true deserved to win this class. I seriously considered her for the RCC, but she has a tendency to stand at times with her front too close which she insisted on doing in the line-up, such a shame.
2. Broadbank’s- Nyandor Never Say Never
3. Borne’s – Starrosa Dance With Me at Trevearl
OB
1. Dunhill-Hall’s – CH Fantasa Lucky Seven BCC & BOB Working Group 3
I judged this girl as a baby and loved her then. I love her more now. She has matured into a stunning specimen of the breed right out of the top drawer who in my opinion fits the standard to a tee and is worthy of all her accolades be they from breed specialists or all arounders. She is an absolute delight to go over and, on the move, doesn’t put a foot wrong, put down in superb condition. Credit to her owner/breeder thank you for the privilege of going over her.
2. Baillie & Topping – Kayshillblue Nyx at Stairvale
I gave this girl a RCC as a youngster. She has developed into a nice adult. She has a good head and is well balanced. Moves and handles well. To be critical would like a more developed forechest. Pity she is coming up against the winner.
