Smarly made Kerry Blue of pale colouring. Dark eyes and well set neat ears. Strong in neck and backline with enough bone and straight limbs. Stands on great feet. Moved out with real drive from strong quarters.

Irish Terrier of good type and racy outline. Presented in excellent coat and really good muscle tone for age. Long head and useful strength in jaw. Scores in forehand assembly. Uses hindquarters well when moving away.

Smart Irish puppy of good proportions. Grand head shape with small dark eye and strong jaws. Great neck length from excellent shoulder placement, and short strong topline. Well set tail and good angulation to hindquarters with evidence of well developed muscles. RBD but sadly did not return to challenge for BP.

1st: 2044 SULLIVAN, Mrs Ruth Devarca Anything Goes At Dwelinebull

Grand headed bull terrier made with substance and quality all through but with active and lively disposition and in fit condition. Well pleased clean eye, super shaped and set ears used well. Clean dry neck and firm in backline with well set on tail. Moved out with typical gait and with good drive from well muscled quarters.

2nd: 2036 LONG, Miss Susan Travellerways Godwin At Dunkeswell

Very well presented Bedlington who pushed hard in this class. Lovely for type with classic head and dark expressive eyes. Well shaped and balanced in body construction and proportions. Feet need a little bit of tidying up.

Class 1238 OD (5 Entries) Abs: 1

1st: 2029 COLE, Ms Claire Ch Perrisblu The Phantom

True workmanlike terrier with great shape and balance, and showing outgoing confidence in personality at all times. Grandly headed with small dark expressive eye and neatly set ears. Has good length to muzzle and balance of skull shape with definite strength in jaw. His outline benefits from his well laid shoulder, which enhance his neck shape and strength, and give him that clean flowing outline through to hard short topline and well set on tail. Well ribbed and short and strong in loin. Stands well over his ground and on the move doesn’t disappoint – good ground cover with strong drive, and accuracy of footfall away and back. Presented to the minute and handled to estole all of his virtues. BD, BoB, and delighted to see he went on to win TG1 and a well deserved BIS.

2nd: 2039 O'CONNELL, Ms A Darwyn The Best Is Yet Come

Another quality Welsh, who really moved out well with his accomplished handler, to show off his conformational virtues to best effect. Good head shape of balance, strength in jaw and clean in neck. Firm and strong in topline and loins.

3rd: 2042 RUFFLES, Miss Mary Holbam Midsummer Knight At Ruffmar {ai} JW

Class 1240 JB (2 Entries) Abs: 0

1st: 2032 JONES, Miss Joanna & BRADLEY, Mrs Margaret & BRADL Joalyn Parsley Moon

Young Kerry Blue who needs some time to mature and grow into herself which is to be expected at this tender age. Head coming along nicely with dark eyes and a good nose. Has strength in topline and good ribbing, and stands on excellent well maintained feet. Moved out well with particularly good hind action.

2nd: 2037 LONG, Miss Susan Dunkeswell Pepper Dash

Feminine outlook on this Bedlington and another who needs time. Not quite the confidence one would expect, however this should increase with age and development. In lovely well presented coat and did enough on the move to demonstrate a good stride when settled.

Class 1241 PGB (3 Entries) Abs: 0

1st: 2043 SULLIVAN, Mrs Ruth Unionbul's Huntress At Dwelinebull (ax1)

Really liked this smart bull terrier, who had great attitude and such a wonderful spirited typical attitude! Loved her head shape, dark expressive – and mischievous – eyes, and well placed fine ears. Has a long clean neck and well placed shoulder, and stands on good round bone and excellent feet. Showed development and width through forechest and length and depth to rib. Very well muscle up, in immaculate condition, and stands well over her strong hocks with super development of first and second thigh. Superb movement took her to BB.

2nd: 2040 PIERCE, Mrs Susan Boudivella Maisie

Lovely headed Glen of Imaal who had a really smashing expression. Beautiful dark eyes, big open nostrils and length and strength to jaw. Is presented in first class order, with balance of angulation fore and aft and well developed musculature all through.

3rd: 2035 LONG, Miss Susan Dunkeswell Pebble Run

Class 1242 OB (2 Entries) Abs: 1

1st: 2031 HARRIS, Mrs Chris Ratzwell Jolly Jubilee JW

Tidy and usefully shaped Bedlington, of good proportions all through. Liked her overall construction, size, shape, and proprtions. In immaculate coat and beautifully turned out. Just needs to have her nails given some attention, and give a little more on the move which is where the Bull Terrier just pipped her to the post today, when it came to the best ofs, RBB.
