Weimaraner
Thank you to this forward thinking and engaging committee for the invite to judge at their lovely show. What a lot of hard work and effort they are putting into this championship show to make it the best they possibly can. Thank you to those who afforded me a great entry of very nice dogs to go over. I have to say in terms of overall body condition and fitness, it was great to see so many dogs perfectly presented. All bites were good. Some of the males seemed a little tense on the day; please remember that Weimaraner males can be sensitive and needs to be worked with to get the best from them in the ring. Overall it was a pleasure to judge so many good dogs in a relatively small numerical entry, so thank you to all of those who made the long journey to the South West.

1st: 2603 GOORD, Mrs K Dartview Formula One
This is a very decent, soundly made, honest male of moderate construction all through. Really liked his appealing head and expression. Has a clean neck and well laid shoulder, is strong in topline and well ribbed back. In fit order he uses himself to great advantage on the move. Handler needs to get to grips with him to realise his full potential, but I couldn’t deny him the RDCC today as his overall type and long striding movement just had to be rewarded at the highest level.
2nd: 2601 DORKINS, Mrs Nicola & TAMBLYN, Mr Steve Weipowa Skyfall
Deeper in body and a little shorter than 1, this is another well headed male with good body and substance. His is very well muscled which showed in his movement as he kept an accurate footfall away and back.

1st: 2597 BENNETT, Mrs J & Miss P Ansona Chico
Strongly made male of good bone and substance with masculine outlook. Good expression from his round eyes and he has useful length and strength in muzzle with correct fold of ear. Has strength in neck and topline which he holds well on the move. He goes with a sound stride but handler needs to learn to go in straight lines a bit better! Well muscled all through and will only improve with time and maturity, BP.

Upstanding male with an imposing outline, he attracts your attention straight away with his presence. Nicely moulded head with correct median line and well folded ear. Strong reachy neck flows cleanly into his well laid shoulder. His is well off for depth in brisket and has plenty of heart and lung room. His long ribcage ensures his topline is strong and firm standing and moving. Well turned stifles and low hocks, with great development of first and second thighs complete the static picture. On the move his moves with accuracy at both ends, and covers a good amount of ground. Quite the young stallion of a showman, encompassing the breeds temperament to advantage. DCC.

2nd: 2606 HENEFER, Miss Demi Leigh Lost In Your Eyes
Strong headed masculine male presented in very well-muscled condition and standing on good feet. Is a little unbalanced at this stage of his growth and development but with time and maturity he should level off. Needs to settle on the move.

1st: 2620 HILLEN, Dr Robert Samuel & HILLEN, Mrs Gina Britmans Auriol
Decent head on this male with super amber eyes, and well set and folded ears. Stacked up he tends to tense himself, and handler needs to relax him into the job, however on the move he relaxes into his construction and moves with good fluidity of stride and decent footfall away and back. Another who was very well muscled and standing on excellent feet.
2nd: 2619 OSBORNE-FARDON, Mr Richard James Silberliss Bombadier
Built more heavily in head than 1 and with a stronger expression. Handler does a good job at stacking him and moves him out very well to produce a long stride. Has good depth in brisket and a firm topline. Very fit condition.
3rd: 2606 HENEFER, Miss Demi Leigh Lost In Your Eyes

1st: 2615 MARTIN, Mrs E Deifstock Deja Vu For Teufel JW
Moderate male and whilst not the largest has everything in proportion – size, bone, length to height proportions and head shape. Scores particularly in topline which is strong both standing and when moving. Goes out well enough but tends to drop into the forehand which his handler needs to watch. In super coat and skin and well toned muscles.
2nd: 2596 BENNETT, Mrs J & Miss P Ansona Sprinter
Presented a rather tense picture stood up as he was a bit rigid in his topline and didn’t seem entirely happy with the proceedings today, sadly. Well-shaped head of balance and with correct median line. Good coat and colour. When moving out he levels off and looks much better, but needs time and encouragement.
3rd: 2631 WILLETTS, Miss Georgie Prodigy Of Jacob

1st: 2629 SNAITH, Mrs T Skilaki Move On Up To Bifonda JW
Decent headed male of medium size and has the added advantage of moderation in his construction all through. Strong neck and clean flow through shoulders into correct level topline. Uses every inch of his construction to advantage on the move, and his endearingly happy character shines through. Nails could do with some attention.
2nd: 2626 RICHARDSON, Miss Roz Cheyenn Makeeta.
Decent type to this longhair but he was just a tad up on his toes today and stiffening and straightening through his front assembly and pasterns. Good head proportions and has a strong level topline. Tad proud of his tail at times. Well muscled up and moved soundly away and back and with ground covering reach. Would like to see him more settled on another day.

1st: 2605 HAYS, Miss V Longlox Celestial Star At Falconwoodz
Ultra feminine longhair puppy with potential. Sweet headed with kindly expression from her round eyes. Well furnished all through. Moved out with a purposeful stride. Just a tad raw in body as to be expected at this age; with condition and maturity she will do well.

1st: 2602 DYER, Mrs S & ODDIE, Mrs S Sharnphilly Annie Mac
Smashing sort of super sound make, shape, and construction. Powerfully built but with femininity. Keen expression from her round eyes, with well set and folded ear. Strong neck and well developed in brisket and ribbing. Powerful rear quarters and low hocks are used to best advantage on the move. As always from this kennel, presented in flawless condition, picture perfect, and handled beautifully.
2nd: 2612 JEFFERIES, Miss Leigh-Ann Rivertone Aurora Over Silbermeer
From a stronger mould all through than 1, and quite strong in head at her present stage of growth. Super sleek coat of good colour, and presented in first class order. Took a bit of time to settle on the move but when she did she produced a long stride.
3rd: 2604 HARDING-BROWN, Mrs Clair Dreistone Dixie Lily

1st: 2628 ROWBURY, Ms Sandra & TRANQUADA, Ms Daniela Rivertone Confetti Over Stormdancer
Catches your eye on the initial look around as she is upstanding and holds her head and big open nose high. Shapely feminine head of balance with pale round eyes and well-set ears. Great to handle with everything flowing together well, balanced and moderate in angulation fore and aft and with depth of forechest, spring of rib, and super strength in loin. Has well let down hocks and stands over her ground. One the move her handler does well to keep up with her as she uses her moderate construction and keen attitude to produce a really long even ground covering stride. Great colour, super coat, and well-conditioned. Should make up. RBCC.
2nd: 2608 HILL, Miss Cheryl Weipowa Ida JW
Shade taller than 1 but not overly so, and with lots of feminine elegant qualities about her. Very good in head proportions with a kind well coloured eye. Has strength and soundness throughout. Particularly good in ribbing and loins. Produces a very sound stride on the go around with accuracy of footfall. Close up to winner and the potential to go all the way. As always with this breeder’s dogs, in immaculate order.
PGB (2)
Two very differing outlines in this class.
1st: 2621 PILATOVA, Miss Sabina Sabsky Sasanka
Touch on the large side for my preference, but still has feminine qualities. More rangy in outline with great length of body and well muscled hindquarters. Goes around very well with an energy about her and drive from the rear.
2nd: 2607 HENEFER, Miss Demi Leigh Sara Cwmceulan
Touch on the petite side but with lovely amber eyes. A little short in body for her height. Another who was presented in very good muscular order. Moved out with confidence.

1st: 2618 MORRIS, Mrs T & RANDALL, Mrs D Kalimor Dottie JW
Quality typical b of medium size and moderation all through. Very good head with correct eye and ear, definite median line, and useful strength of jaw. She has a well angled front with depth of brisket, spring of rib and firmness in topline, and well muscled and angled hindquarters. Her overall static balance took her to the win in this class. Doesn’t disappoint on the move as she uses her construction to good effect. Presented in fit order. Closely considered for top honours today but just flagged ever so slightly in the challenge.
2nd: 2599 DOBBS, Mrs D Kalimor Summa Love JW
Another one in really smashing condition and a credit to her owner. Lots of similar remarks to 1, really, as there was little to separate them all through however she just wasn’t quite so positive going away today, to be hyper critical, which cost her the class.

1st: 2627 RODGERS, Mrs Claire Sh Ch Minstergate Carnival JW
Have challenged for BoB with this b on many occasions and now having the pleasure to have judged her I can see why she has won so well. Appeals instantly on inspection as she has correct balance, moderation in construction all through, and a rock solid absolutely correct level topline which is lacking in so many! Her head is of beautiful proportions and she has a very mischievous glint from her amber eyes, which adds to the appeal! Good ear length, set, and fold. Strong neck and well laid shoulder with a useful return of upper arm. Her brisket comes to her elbow and her ribs extend well back and are of great length which gives her such solidity of topline at all times. Very well muscled in quarters she has excellent development and definition of first and second thighs. Low hocks are straight, and her feet are well maintained. Thankfully, she doesn’t disappoint on the move! Her handler does well to harness her obvious enthusiasm for the job and when focused she produces a lovely easy, sound, free moving, ground covering stride. Delighted to award her the BCC & BoB today. Represented the breed very well in a strong group.
2nd: 2610 HOSTLER, Mrs T Kalimor Daisy JW
Touch taller than 1, this b is built on elegant lines and also has an imposing outline which is hard to ignore. Well-shaped head of balance, and with plenty of work. Lovely eyes. She is strong in neck, topline, and group, with a well set tail. Deep in body and well ribbed back. Has great strength in pasterns and excellent feet. Another who was presented in first class order with fine skin and toned muscles. Handler does a smashing job with her and she is a credit to her; she does very well to keep up with her active ground covering stride on the move.

1st: 2595 ANDERTON, Mrs Shirley Tatze Bewitched By Thrihyrne
What a smashing long hair and a real credit to the breed, as she is presented in absolutely immaculate order and first class condition. She belies her years both standing and moving! Excellent head shape and keen eye. Has a reachy neck and clean flow through the shoulder into her strong level topline. Well angled and muscled quarters complete the picture at the back end. When asked to move she is obliging of her handler and works so well with them to produce a strong, even, accurate stride. Considered for top honours today, I really hope she gains her title. BV.
2nd: 2598 DOBBS, Mrs D Oakswarren Ice Maiden.
Another very sound mover presented in great order and clearly afforded plenty of exercise and free running – just as it should be! Nicely shaped head, well balanced in forehand and hindquarter construction, and standing on excellent feet.
