Border Collie

VD. 1st Tonkory Talking Point At Tidespring. Functional, smaller-built male. Good for head and body proportions. Moderate neck. Well angled front with corresponding rear. Carrying enough weight. Excellent profile movement and low carried tail. BVIB. Shame he didn’t stay for the Veteran Group.

2nd No name in results. Slightly larger male. Good strength all through but another that could lose a couple of pounds. Excellent bone and stands on tight feet. Moderately angled. Moved well enough, just not the scope of 1st from profile.

MPD. 1st Sashdan Pure Imagination With Simmovon. An absolutely super pup with so much potential. Mature in body and coat for his age. Excellent head piece. Keen, oval eye. Well set-on tipped ears. Excellent reach of neck. Well laid shoulder and return of upperarm, in fact, one of the best fronts here today. Excellent topline. Firm loins. Excellent rear angulation. Low set tail. Moved true out and back and covered the ground well from profile. I loved him and will follow his career with interest. Should be an asset to the UK gene pool. BP & PG3.

2nd Laceway Black Sabbath. Another promising young male. Equally pleasing in outline. Well proportioned head. Medium neck. Good angles front and back. Just dips slightly behind the withers at present but nothing that time and maturity should sort. Covers the ground very well. Immaculate presentation and handled to bring out his best.

3rd Locheil Written In The Stars.

PD. 1st Simmovon Charm Writer. Another excellent pup, having these quality youngsters coming through can only benefit the breed in the future. Liked his outline, body and quality bone. Not heavy or exaggerated in any way. Appeals in head and medium eye. Sound and true in all directions.

2nd Roydenbark Meet Joe Black At Baywern. Fairly similar to 1st for balance and outline. Very good head. Excellent ear set and carriage. Enough neck. Excellent depth of chest for his age. Moderate angles. In excellent coat. Just needs time to settle on the move and can carry his tail lower.

3rd Bryning Smooth Operator.

JD. Borderpride Yes I Am Fayken. Very good young dog. Smaller built all through but well balanced in outline. Good head, with well-defined stop and pleasing eye shape. Good reach of neck. Moderately angled front and rear. Holds his outline well both on the stack and on the move. Sound in all directions with breed-typical carriage on the move.

2nd Littlethorn Ioniq. Close-up here. Slightly larger overall than 1st and liked his proportions all through. Not the reach of neck of 1st and a bit forward in shoulder but has a well laid upperarm, good bone and functional, tight feet. Excellent topline. Moderately angled rear. Hard condition. Excellent mover in all directions with a low set and carried tail. One for the future.

3rd Fayken I Am Soul.

YD. 1st Locheil Rock Shore. Excellent for type. Medium -sized boy, masculine and in good condition. Excellent head, ideal eye shape and colour. Uses his ears well to enhance his expression. Good reach and arch of neck. Deep chest. Firm topline and short loins. Slightly sloping croup leading to a low tail set. Could perhaps have a touch more length of leg to balance his outline completely. Sound mover.

2nd Piece Of Happiness Mickey. An immaculately-presented male. Very masculine but, for me, just a bit too strong all through. Good head shape. Eye ok. Could have a touch more reach of neck. Excellent angles. Thick, double coat. Attentive to handler and moved true in all directions.

3rd Tambuzi Ride The Storm.

ND. 1st R. Meet Joe Black At Baywern.

PGD. 1st Nashdom All Eyes On You. Very good male. Excellent head, correct stop and oval, eager eye. Ok in neck and front angles. Excellent topline. Well angled rear with sound hocks. Needs a bit more time to mature and can still drop in chest to advantage. Moved well out and back, covering the ground with a medium depth of stride from profile.

2nd Malindibeach Woodforde. Quite an eye-catching male on the stack. He uses his ears and neck to full advantage. Strong head and well-defined stop. Eye a touch round and set a bit forward facing. Good overall conformation, just needs to tighten in front coming towards. Scopey side gait. Good coat.

3rd P. Of Happiness M.

LD. 1st Arrodare Wont Back Down. Liked this medium sized male very much. He pleases in head, eye and expression. At one with his handler and uses his ears to best advantage. Medium neck, Deep chest. Well laid shoulder and enough length of upperarm. Excellent body condition. Moderate rear, Correct croup. Sound out and back. Excellent side gait, covering the ground with efficiency. Should easily gain his crown. Res CC.

2nd Hidden Bo Fedele Amico For Axeramoon. Overall a pleasing, masculine male. Good head with strength to skull but a touch long in muzzle. Excellent eye and ears. Moderate angulation front and rear. Excellent body. Pleasing coat. Sound on the move, just not quite the scope of 1st from side gait.

3rd Borderbrook Fire And Flame.

OD. 1st Sh Ch Thwaitlake Buzzman. Worthy Ch male. Awarded him his first green card as a youngster and pleased to discover he now carries his title. A strong, masculine dog but not overdone in anyway. Lovely head proportions. Eye shape ok. Excellent reach and arch of neck. Deep, roomy chest. Excellent topline. Firm loins. Powerful rear. For me, this dog’s real selling point is his absolutely breed typical movement. He is true enough out and back but from profile has a real open, scopey stride. Plenty of reach and drive with minimum lift of foot and correct head and tail carriage. His handler gets every bit out of him and they couldn’t be denied the CC and BOB. Unlucky not to get a second look in the Group, I thought.

2nd Simmovon Shockwave At Tambuzi. Beautifully presented male of quality. Very balanced all trough. Loved his head proportions, strength all through but not exaggerated anywhere. Very good shoulder but could have a touch more length of upperarm. Excellent topline. Gently sloping croup. Strong quarters. Low tail set. True mover in all directions.

3rd Sh Ch Laceway Don’t Stop Me Now.

VB. 1st Tonkory I’ll Be There For Nashdom. Have always liked this female for her ideal size, femininity and functional breed type. Well-proportioned head, tipped ears and pleasing eye. Moderate angles both ends. Moves out very well, just raises her tail a bit high which detracts from her overall outline.

MPB. 1st Laceway Bottoms Up. Very forward for her 8 months. Well grown with good body and coat. Beautiful head, oval eye and nicely tipped ears. Appeals in reach of neck, moderate angles and depth of stride. Sound and very promising.

2nd Mighty Aphrodite. Really raw 6 month old baby. Dashed into the ring at the last minute but took it all in her stride. Beautiful head shape, almond eye and excellent ears. Has all the basics for this age, and, once settled, moved out well.

3rd Borderbrook Lucky In Love.

PB. 1st Arrodare Fire It Up. A super pup. More compact in outline than some at this age but so beautifully put together. Excellent head properties. Good reach of neck, leading to a well laid shoulder and reasonable upperarm. Super body, coat and presentation. Firm rear, moderately angled. Covered the ground well from profile. Must have a great future.

2nd Simmovan Reason To Believe. A promising pup of lovely type and outline. Quite close-up to 1st with regards to conformation, body tone and coat. Just preferred the reach of neck of 1st and slightly more open side gait. As always, immaculately presented from this exhibitor.

3rd Tidespring Take Your Time.

J. 1st Alpana Summer Storm. Ultra-feminine female. Love her unflashy, functional outlook. Pretty head and expression. Attentive to her handler at all times which enhances her expression. Firm topline. Balanced angulation front and back. Slightly sloping croup and well set tail. Moved with plenty of freedom from profile but just needs to firm-up a bit coming towards. A quality youngster.

2nd Littlethorn Bizzarrini. An excellent young blue merle that appeals for her workmanlike function. Well-proportioned, feminine head and expression. Just enough depth of chest, should develop further here as she matures. Moderately angled front and rear allowing a steady, even, scopey stride. Just moving a fraction close going away. Confident showgirl that should have a promising future.

3rd Tambuzi The Heat Is On.

YB. 1st Hysteps My Irish Colleen. This lovely youngster has many virtues. Well proportioned head with correctly set ears. A touch round in eye and they could be set more obliquely, this would improve her expression. Medium neck. Nicely developed all through for her age. Excellent angles. Typical Border Collie gait, lowers her head, plenty of scope and minimal lift of foot. Had she been in better coat would have pushed closer in the challenge. Easily deserves to carry her crown.

2nd Caleykiz Passion For Power. Another typical, true to type female. Ultra-feminine with good body and enough bone for her frame. Pleasing head, eye and expression. Scopey gait, covers the ground so easily. Liked her very much too and a close decision.

3rd Wizaland Double Exposure.

NB. 1st Laceway Breaking Waves. Litter sister to MPB winner and they are very similar for head, conformation, body and outline. She is confident on the stack and this was reflected on the move with a smooth, even gait. It will be interesting to see how these two siblings develop in the future as they are difficult to split presently. Another quality Collie from this successful kennel.

2nd Wizaland Double Exposure. Well-bodied youngster. Loved her typical, well-proportioned head and keen expression. Good height to length ratio. Very good front angles. Firm loins. Just needs to drop a fraction at the rear. Sound mover in all directions.

3rd Roydenbark Casablanca.

PGB. 1st Calareto All My Loving. Larger-built female but no mistaking her gender. Classic head shape, Oval, medium eye, excellent ear set. Enough neck. Well-developed chest. Presented in good condition. Balanced angles front and back. Excellent mover, covering the ground with reach, drive and a low carried tail. On this form, should be knocking on the door for higher awards soon.

2nd Nashdom Lost In Your Eyes. More the size I prefer in a female. Pleasing in many aspects with regards to head, body and another presented in top form. Not quite the angulation of the winner and consequently couldn’t quite match her depth of stride from profile, that said, she is sound and true in all directions.

3rd Arrodare Seen It In Colour.

LB. A lovely class to judge, much quality to choose from. 1st Tobermoray Heaven Sent For Flintrix. This substantially-built female is difficult to fault with regards to her excellent conformation. Super head, eye shape and ears. Excellent reach and arch of neck leading to a well laid shoulder and return of upperarm. Roomy chest. Mature body. Strong rear. An excellent mover, a really scopey, effortless gait. Just lost her topline at times on the stack but pushed all the way.

2nd Arrodare No Matter What. Beautifully feminine in size and outlook. Pretty head, a touch round in eye. Excellent ear set and carriage. Enough neck. Very good front angles. Firm topline. Slightly sloping croup and low tail set and carriage. A little tense at first, but the more she relaxed the better she went. True mover in all directions. Another Ch in the making for this kennel, no doubt.

3rd Simmovon Sheer Delight.

OB, 1st Thwaitlake Everything I Am. What super representative this female is. A new one to me and I thought her just lovely. Excellent size and substance with quality bone and excellent feet. Loved her head, reminded me so much of her Sire. Strong neck. Deep, functional chest. Balanced angles. Firm topline. Short loins. Excellent croup. Low set and carried tail. Moved straight and true coming and going and covered the ground well from side gait. In fabulous condition. BCC her third, congratulations! A very worthy Ch.

2nd Sh Ch Tambuzi Girlz On Fire. This beautiful Ch. female was presented in pristine condition. Really looked the part on the day. Everything to admire with an excellent head, correct eye and well used ears. Attentive to her handler at all times. Medium neck. Good substance and bone but not overdone in any department. Moderately angled front and back. Moved out very well to take the Res CC in good company.
