Chesapeake Bay Retriever Special Classes. 

Many thanks for the invitation to judge the Special classes at the Chesapeake Bay retriever club show. A well run show, with great atmosphere. I thank the exhibitors for their entry & great sportsmanship. I throughly enjoyed judging, with a super steward keeping the ring moving. 

Junior D/B (4,0)

1st Playle & Thomas - Riptide Gentlemens Relish - Super quality dog of 9 months. broad head, with medium stop, lovely head proportions, well developed nostrils, eyes set wide apart, good colour. Small well set on ears, muscular neck, in to well laid shoulders, with legs set well under. Well sprung ribs, with matching rear angles, moved with strength and power, lovely thick oiley coat, with woolly under coat. One to watch.

2nd Hewitson Melseed Don’t Stop Believing - excellent shape giving a little away in age. Lots to like, Alert with super intelligent expression, thin lips, good head proportions. Balanced angles, lovely top line, moved well when settled. Lovely thick coat with excellent texture. 

3rd Corcoran & Jones Oakmarsh Kingsley Adsila

Interesting to see litter sisters headed up this class. 

1st Broomfield Glaneils Don’t Worry be Happy , thought this bitch ticked all the boxes, active workman like & muscular appearance. Lovely head, with broad skull, eyes set wide, lovely shape & colour. Muscular neck, excellent angles, legs set well under, good underline, moved free and effortlessly. Good coat, with woolly undercoat of correct length. 

2nd Broomfield Glaneils Daydream Believer - another good bitch & pushed her sister all the way, so balanced, good head, medium stop. Excellent neck, good topline, loved her tight feet. Another with good coat of correct texture. Moved out smooth free and effortlessly. Good tail carriage. 

3rd Camoccio & Easton Chesepi Xamazatommy

1st Thompson Sh Ch Arnac Bay Harvest - A super bitch, super typey, absolutely loved her from start to finish. Well developed nostrils, balanced head, broad skull, ears well set with correct eye, medium stop creating super expression, muscular neck flowed in to long bladed shoulders with equal length of upper arm. Lovely under line, well developed chest, slight tuck up in loin. Well turned stifles, correct tail set. Moved strong & powerful, but with no restriction, showing good smooth , free and effortless movement. Excellent oiley coat of correct length. Lovely bitch. 

2nd Baxandall Sharbae Prettiest Star - A good honest bitch, good head, good angles front & rear, legs set well under, nice under line, ok feet, moved well, nice coat.

3rd Boyles PixiesrockMr Tummus By Bleyos - young dog who appealed in type, overall good shape. Good head, not as settled on move, like to see how he matures on.
