It’s always a pleasure to judge this breed; the exhibitors are so sporting and applaud every class. My stewards, Marion Sargent and Sarah Atkins had a long day as we were second in the ring but they were still smiling at the end. Thank you for keeping things running so smoothly.

1ST 670 - Sh Ch Waldo vom Busshof mit Alfriston (Imp Deu) (Mr M & Mrs D Day & Robinson)
Presents a balanced outline with a firm back that slopes gently to his croup. Wide chest, well sprung ribs and strong loin. Wide well muscled quarters and correct tail set. Elongated and balance head with a soft expression in his eyes, broad, high set ears. Moves on a free and springy gait carrying his tail on a level with his back. He was my CC winner last time I judged the breed and I still like him very much indeed.
2ND 691 - Sh Ch Crumpsbrook Woodrush (Ms J E & Mr A E Powell & Murrell) Longer in loin and carries his tail higher than the winner. He is powerfully built without exaggeration and is well muscled throughout. I liked his head with its slightly rounded skull and correctly set ears, his expression is one of intelligence and kindness. Used his wide powerful quarters to drive him round the ring.

1ST 666 - Crumpsbrook Hendrick (Mrs A & Mr M Bates). 7 mths litter brothers and naturally very similar. Both have lovely heads with a slight rise from the nasal bone to the forehead and dark brown eyes. The winner has a reachy neck with good crest, well laid shoulders and return of upper arm, decent depth for age, strong loin and wide croup. Moves on a springy gait.
2ND 672 - Crumpsbrook Jager (Mrs C J & Mr A J Graham). Many of the same remarks apply but I felt he didn’t have the reach of neck of his brother and was slightly shallower in muzzle. Nevertheless, he is a well made puppy with good ribbing and wide thighs who covers plenty of ground on the move but tends to stack a bit 10 to 2 in front at present.

1ST 682 - Graf Iii vom Busshof at Albadhu (E & F Logie & Braidwood). This one impressed from the start. He is a lovely dog with a fabulous head and presents a balanced and square outline. He has an intelligent expression in his dark eyes, lovely raised brows, high set ears give him a slightly rounded skull and he has a strong muzzle. His chest is wide, brisket deep and ribs well sprung giving plenty of heart and lung room. Shoulders are well laid back and forelegs straight with strong pasterns; stands on tight well padded feet. He is well tucked up under his short, well muscled loins and has broad muscular quarters with moderate angulation. He has a firm topline that he holds on the move and his well set tail is carried on a level with his back. His gait is springy and he covers the ground with ease and style. He has an air of elegance and nobility about him and I was delighted to award him the CC.

1ST 669 - Tarkanya Ritas Reinheart at Alfriston (Mr M & Mrs D Day & Robinson). Well balanced head, strong under jaw, good length of neck, well ribbed back and carries a firm, slightly sloping topline. He needs to tighten in elbow. Wide thighs, decent turn of stifle, tail set a bit low. Moved well.
2ND 690 - Cliff von Der Quantwicker Windmühle for Ashlowrick (Imp Deu) (Mx H Patrick). He is very shelly and raw at present and needs to drop in brisket. His head is balanced but he could use a darker eye. Springy gait but picks up in front.

Presents a square outline, is well ribbed back with short strong loin and has a good tail set. Pleasing well balanced head and a kind expression. Moves on a long and easy stride.
2ND 684 - Elmer vom Blitzenbach at Amasffoy (Imp Deu) (Dr C J & Mrs C Middleton & Trowsdale) Workmanlike dog who didn’t have the length of muzzle of the winner. Moderately angulated with a good length of upper arm, good forechest, wide thighs. Great feet. Typical springy gait.

1ST 675 - Tralale Chunky Monkey (Ms A Huggins-Davis) A squarely built and very well made dog. Wide chest, good forechest, deep brisket, short back, well ribbed up, well muscled quarters. Great tail set. His head is very handsome with a kind eye and a lovely big black nose. He moves very well and had the best feet of the day. This is the second time I have awarded him the RCC.
2ND 680 - Sh Ch Albadhu Walk On The Wildside (E & F Logie & Braidwood). He is a bit longer cast and doesn’t have the second thigh nor the width behind of the winner but nevertheless he is of very good make and type. Handsome, balanced head, soft expression, good length of neck with lovely crest. Powerful mover.

1ST 688 - Ursel vom Ahler Esch at Raycris (Mrs C & Mr R Ogle & Butler) She is very appealing on the stack being squarely and strongly built whilst maintaining an air of elegance. She has substance and depth, good bone, a straight front and tight feet. Carries a strong topline, has plenty of heart and lung room, muscular loin and wide croup. Her head is beautiful with a soft and alert expression. Excellent profile movement but in the challenge the open bitch had the better hind movement so she had to settle for the RCC. BV.
2ND 681 - Sh Ch Cindy vom Hundsfeld at Albadhu (Imp Deu) (E & F Logie & Braidwood). Another beautiful head with such an intelligent and soft expression, high set ears and strong muzzle. Reachy neck flows into well laid shoulders, wide quarters. I felt she was longer cast than the winner and didn’t hold her topline as well. Clearly a worthy champion.
3RD 697 - Quilesta So Special at Cazooska (Mr P W & Mrs C D Trowsdale)

1ST 665 - Crumpsbrook Anki (Mrs J Bargman). The 4th of 5 litter mates in this entry and what a fabulous litter it is; the breeder must be very proud. She has a beautiful head with lovely raised brows and well set on ears; her expression is melting. Her neck is long and muscular with an elegant crest and flows cleanly into well laid shoulders. She is deep in brisket and has a good underline. Moderate bend of stifle and hocks well let down. She is so steady on the move with fabulous tail carriage and is very well schooled. BPIB.
2ND 667 - Crumpsbrook Anneke to Incadar (Mr G T & Mrs J Darby). Beautifully made and carries a firm topline. Very similar to her littermates, preferred the depth of muzzle on her sister. Moves on an easy springy gait.
3RD 696 - Crumpsbrook Mariet (Dr C & Mrs H Stanford)

1ST 664 - Crumpsbrook Alchemilla (Mrs J Bargman). She is a very nice type with a fabulous head and exquisite raised brows. I loved her big nose. She is moderately angulated, short in back, strong loin and wide hips. Impressive on the move and carries her tail well.
2ND 693 - Tarkanya Ritas Ruby with Destanli (Mrs L Robins). She has a beautiful head but doesn’t have the front of the winner. She is well ribbed back and has excellent second thigh development. Just a tad wide coming to.

1ST 679 - Sh Ch Albadhu Pawsitive Vibes JW (E & F Logie & Braidwood). Stacked she is a picture of strength and elegance and she has the demeanour and noble air of a well bred HPR. She is solidly built with plenty of heart and lung room, a firm strong back, is slightly higher at the withers and has a slightly sloping topline and terrific tail set. Her wide and powerful quarters are moderately angled and she stands on firm tight feet. She has a head to die for and those dark expressive eyes look right into your soul. She is alert and energetic and clearly fit for function. Her footfall is precise and the length of her stride is free and easy and she has the typical springy gait required of the L.M. In lovely coat and condition, I was delighted to award her the CC and BOB.
2ND 698 - Sh Ch Braccpoint Song of The Wind for Gemlorien (Mrs H J Ward). I preferred the head of the winner but liked her build and style. She has an excellent front with good prosternum, her wide and powerful quarters propel her round the ring.
