Huge thanks to my stewards Angela Codling and Sue Lee for staying with me whilst I judged my second breed of the day. Coats could have been better throughout the entry and some very good dogs paid the price for this.

Class 459 SBD/B (1 Entries) Abs: 0

1st: 1099 BLABER, Mrs Laura & BLABER, Mr Laurence & BLABER, Oakmarsh Laurel. Her coat is terrific being harsh to the touch with an oily feel to it and she has undercoat. Very good make and shape with a correct underline. She has a pretty head and smallish high set ears. Moves on an easy stride. BPIB.

Class 460 PD/B (3 Entries) Abs: 0

1st: 1099 BLABER, Mrs Laura & BLABER, Mr Laurence & BLABER, Oakmarsh Laurel. Repeat.

2nd: 1111 WATTS, Miss Kirsty & MELLERSH-TETT, Mrs Amie & MEL Oakmarsh Land Of Promise. Lots to like here but she has yet to develop in rib. A pretty head just a bit finer than the winner. Moved well.

3rd: 1110 WATTS, Miss Kirsty Oakmarsh Little Acorn

Class 461 JD/B (3 Entries) Abs: 0

1st: 1105 MIDDLETON, Ms Joy & MAYHEW, Mrs C Arnac Bay Jellicoe. She is full of breed type and has a wonderful head and correct ear set. Strongly boned with a good underline, wide and powerful quarters and has a well textured coat with depth and undercoat. In the challenge I preferred the tail carriage of the veteran bitch.

2nd: 1111 WATTS, Miss Kirsty & MELLERSH-TETT, Mrs Amie & MEL Oakmarsh Land Of Promise. Repeat.

3rd: 1110 WATTS, Miss Kirsty Oakmarsh Little Acorn. Repeat.

Class 462 PGD/B (2 Entries) Abs: 0

1st: 1105 MIDDLETON, Ms Joy & MAYHEW, Mrs C Arnac Bay Jellicoe. Repeat.

2nd: 1099 BLABER, Mrs Laura & BLABER, Mr Laurence & BLABER, Oakmarsh Laurel. Repeat.

Class 463 LD (1 Entries) Abs: 0

1st: 1107 ROYLE, Mrs Veronika Battsrock Are You Ready. His coat was too soft today but he is well proportioned, moderately angled, has a handsome head and moves with power. BD.

Class 464 OD (1 Entries) Abs: 1

Class 465 VD NO ENTRIES

Class 466 LB (2 Entries) Abs: 0

1st: 1101 COPPIN, Miss Joanne & DAVIES-JONES, Mr Darren Pixiesrock Queen Of Hearts At Elwistone. Strongly made with a feminine head and eyes set well apart. She carried a terrific coat today that was thick and reasonably short and felt hard to the touch. Sound mover.

2nd: 1109 WATTS, Miss Kirsty Oakleaf Manor Bay Of Oakmarsh (Imp) Deu JW. A bit longer cast than the winner and didn’t have the depth of coat. But her head is good and of the correct shape. Plenty of heart and lung room. Moves on an easy stride.

Class 467 OB (2 Entries) Abs: 0

1st: 1104 MIDDLETON, Ms Joy & MAYHEW, Mrs C Sh Ch NL Ch Int Ch Arnac Bay Hebe Wgc Ew'22 ShCEx. What a terrific girl she is. Oozes breed type being well proportioned and strong and muscular in appearance. She presents a strong outline with plenty of bone, powerful shoulders well laid with good return of upper arm. Plenty of dog in front. Well developed chest, good spring of rib and powerful quarters. With all this power she still retains femininity and has the most beautiful head with a melting expression. Her coat is thick and dense with a good harsh and oily feel to it. Free and effortless mover. BB & BOB.

2nd: 1108 WATTS, Miss Kirsty Oakmarsh Freedom SGWC. Longer cast than the winner, typical topline with permissible slightly higher hindquarters, deep coat, moved well.

Class 468 VB (3 Entries) Abs: 0

What a fabulous class of veterans. They are a credit to the breed.

1st: 1100 COPPIN, Miss Joanne & DAVIES-JONES, Mr Darren Dallandor Jocasta. I love this girl’s head with its balanced planes and lovely big nose. Her expression is to die for and she looks right into your soul. She is very well made and presents a great shape. She moves so well covering plenty of ground and has a wonderful tail. RBB.

2nd: 1102 MAYHEW, Mrs C Sh Ch Arnac Bay Flax. 11 years old and what a cracker. Her shape is classic with its strong topline and definite tuck up. She displays a stunning temperament and is such a happy girl.

3rd: 1106 NASH, Dr J Cheselbay Appalachian
