English St Bernard Club

Breed: St. Bernard

Many thanks to the Secretary and Committee for the kind invite to judge their Memorial Stakes at this lovely ‘garden party’ venue. The hospitality was second to none and the Ploughmans Lunches were a work of art! Thank you for such a lovely day and a warm welcome from everyone, we had the added bonus of gorgeous weather to complete the day.

1. Forrest/Lucas’ Bernmont Allo Allo at Philandros. Promising masculine puppy of 9 months with a good eye, bite and broad skull, short muzzle, good stop, correctly set ears, excellent large feet and strong bone, muscular neck into a well laid shoulder with broad chest well let down, sound in top-line with good angles, broad, well muscled rear, he moved out steadily with a powerful stride.

2. Kimberley/Doherty’s Towerviewsaints Red Mist (IKC). Male of 14 months with masculine head and expression, good eye, stop and strength in his short muzzle, strong feet and bone, he held a good top-line standing and moving and was soundly angulated all through, broad and well muscled rear, moved out well with a smooth steady gait.

3. Davies’ Senseisaints Samara Rose TAF. Bitch of 17 months, feminine head and expression although she was showing a little too much haw for me and could have a better mouth, strong feet and bone, ok in top-line and quarters, she showed some lovely profile movement but a little untidy on the out and back.

2. Brennan’s Saintlyntree Queen Pebbles. 2 year old bitch, feminine head and expression but she could show a little less haw, strong neck and shoulders with good depth to her chest, angles throughout ok, well muscled in her strong rear, showed some good profile movement but not so clean in the rear going away, in good coat and condition.
