Firstly, my thanks to all the exhibitors for such a fabulous entry and the way they greeted my decisions with applause. My thanks to my two super stewards who kept everything running so smoothly. I had some super dogs to judge and was thrilled with the depth of quality in the breed, I had some very close decisions and could easily have awarded a few green and white cards. However I found far too many bad mouths for my liking and had to make more compromises in this respect than I liked. Please think about this when breeding, it takes only one generation to breed in but many, many to breed out.

My Bitch CC and Best of Breed was the superb Sh Ch Nadavin Yirki at Tumblebar, my Dog CC winner was Sh Ch Fecimus Chase The Dream To Ewtor JW. My Res Dog CC Nadavin Wallace and my Res Bitch CC Nadavin Zahlee. Best Puppy the exciting youngster Gadhelic Jack Frost, winning Best Veteran was Elgert Let's Dance at Benbreac and Best Special Beginner Kingsmist Agatha Christie At Winsbrook.

Class 1642 VD (2 Entries) Abs: 0

1st: 2952 DAVIES, Mr & Mrs J & P Elgert Let's Dance At Benbreac

A smart dog with a noble head and expression, good chiselling, well set eyes of good colour. Clean through the neck in to well set shoulders, stands on well boned legs. Well made in body, good depth to chest, ribs well sprung and level topline. Well-developed quarters, moderately angles stifles. Moved out well to take the class.

2nd: 2956 HARRIS, Ms Judith Mary Kingsmist Panther

Another smart dog with a lot to like about him, I liked his overall make and shape, a shade stronger in head than the winner. Good through the neck into well laid-back shoulders, with good angulation. Ribs ok, held his topline well throughout. Good well-developed quarters on him. Coat in super condition, moved out well.

1st: 2968 MOSS, Mrs Leanne Gadhelic Jack Frost

A smart young man of 9 months, well balanced with a pleasing head and expression, good eye shape. Clean reach of neck and shoulders well laid back, needs to tighten in elbow a little. Well ribbed up for his age, strong through the loin and level topline. Quarters well developed with good muscle tone. Great coat and condition for his age. Moves out well with a good stride. Handled to advantage.

Class 1647 LD (5 Entries) Abs: 1

1st: 2977 TROTTER, Mrs & Mr M & I Clandrift Diplomat

A lot to like about this chap, he has a super outline and presents a balanced picture on the stack. Good head piece on him, balanced proportions, well-shaped eyes that are correctly coloured. Well chiselled all giving a masculine expression. Enough reach of neck, shoulders well laid back and standing on good legs. Good depth of chest and ribs well sprung. Firm level topline, well-made quarters with stifles well bent and short from hock to heal. Moved out well with an even gait.

2nd: 2955 HARDING, Mr & Mrs MJ & AE Kingsmist Remember Me JW

Another good one with plenty of breed type, lots to like about him. He is a young dog, only 2 years and giving away a lot in maturity and finish. I liked his head and expression which was masculine, good eye shape and colour. Neck good into a good lay back of shoulder. Depth to chest and firm in loin, quarters well developed with moderately bent stifles. Moved out well, just lost his shape on the stack at the end.

Class 1648 OD (7 Entries) Abs: 1

1st: 2966 MOSS, Mr A D Sh Ch Fecimus Chase the Dream to Ewtor JW

What a super dog this is everything is in the right place and of the correct proportion. Came under me last time I judged and stood third, now much more the finished article. To me he is a good honest Field, I thought he had a super head piece, well chiselled and with good eye colour, certainly has that air of nobility about him. Good length of neck, sitting neatly into well placed shoulders. Good angulation and stands on well boned legs, and good tight feet. His body is well made, he has good depth of chest and is well ribbed up. Moderately angulated quarters, stifles well bent, and hocks well let down. In great coat and condition. Moved well to take the class, very nearly threw it away in the challenge as he decided he had ladies on his mind but did what he needed to do. My Dog CC winner.

2nd: 2969 MURRAY, Mrs Gillian & MURRAY, Mr Keith Nadavin Wallace

Another with a very typical field head and expression. Good through the neck, well angulated at both ends. He is well proportioned with ribs well sprung and strong in loin. Well developed in quarters, with stifles well bent. Stands on good legs. Scored in profile movement, just not quite as accurate in front action as the winner. He also had a little too much covering today which was the deciding factor. A top-class dog who I was pleased to award the RCC today, could easily carry a title.

1st: 2957 HOLGATE, Mrs Jill & HOLGATE, Mr Charles Sh Ch Nadavin Wenhaver JW

I liked this lady on the stack as she has a super outline and balance about her. Head was feminine with a good overall shape and an appealing expression. Clean neck into shoulders, which were well placed. Well boned legs with the correct flat bone. Super front on her with good depth. Quarters are well developed with moderately bent stifles. Not surprised to see she carries a title. For me today she just lacked a little sparkle on the move, or she would have pushed for top honours.

Class 1651 MPB (1 Entries) Abs: 0

1st: 2982 WILLCOCK, Miss P & WILLCOCK, Miss M Vanilla Du Rieu-grand Avec Dynarkaraky (Naf Taf)

Young liver bitch. Head is pleasing, plenty of work in it so should finish well. Good front assembly on her, shoulders well placed and standing on good legs with flat bone. Body of good proportion, ribs springing nicely and firm through the loin. Quarters well made; stifles moderately bent. Needs to find her feet on the move to complete the picture.

Class 1653 JB (2 Entries) Abs: 1

1st: 2963 MACBAIN, Miss Allie & BREWER, Ms Danielle Fecimus Never Look Back

I thought this young lady a very exciting prospect. She is feminine and elegant with a super outline. She has an attractive head & expression enhanced by defined chiselling under the eyes. Clean reach of neck which led into correctly placed shoulders and a good return of upper arm. Standing on good well boned legs, would like better feet. Correct depth to her forechest for her age, good through the body. Firm through the loin with well-made quarters. Moved out well with good drive. Should have a bright future ahead of her.

2nd: 2970 OSBORN, Ms G Killara's Pass the Crown To Elgert (Imp USA)

Very different type of bitch to the winner but still with a lot to like about her but for me today she didn’t have the outline of the winner. Her headpiece is typical, a shade more in back skull, has good proportions. Good in neck in to well set shoulder, stands on well boned legs. Ribs have good spring, slightly soft in topline today, moderate hindquarters with hocks well let down. Scored in movement, especially in profile.

3rd: 2979 WALKER-SMITH, Mrs Hannah Marie & WALKER-SMITH, Mr Nadavin Nyla

Class 1655 LB (3 Entries) Abs: 0

1st: 2950 ADAMS, Miss Lucy & HIRD, Miss Calleigh & HIRD, Miss Irisbel English Rose JW

Worthy winner of the class, she is feminine and presents a clean and balanced outline. Her head is pretty and refined, with a kind eye to give a typical expression. Clean neck into shoulders, standing on well boned legs and tight feet. Good depth in front. Body of balanced proportions. Quarters well developed with well bent stifles. Moved around the ring well, just needs to compose herself a little to complete the picture. Typey bitch with a lot to like about her.

2nd: 2967 MOSS, Mrs A E & MOSS, Mrs L J Elgert Dancing Queen at Ewtor

Really like this black bitch on the stack but she is just eighteen months and giving so much away at the moment, she pulls into a super shape on the stack. Her head is well shaped giving that typical noble field expression. Long neck into shoulders which are well laid, standing on straight legs with flat bone. I would like a little more forechest, but that should well come as she matures. Decent spring of rib and good length of back. Stifles have a moderate bend to them. Was really wanting to go on the move, what I could see had a good action. With a bit of maturity, she will do well.

3rd: 2976 SHIPTON, Mrs S Heartwood Mishules All Is Possible with Calico

Class 1656 OB (6 Entries) Abs: 0

1st: 2951 BARKER, Ms Elizabeth Sh Ch Nadavin Yirki At Tumblebar

What a super bitch. I loved her head piece, so elegant with that touch of nobility. Super shape and proportions, her eyes are correctly shaped and have a pleasing colour, she has defined chiselling which enhances her classic expression. Good reach of neck into shoulders which are well laid. Good legs, well boned and tight feet. Enough depth of chest and good spring of rib, firm back, strong quarters with stifles moderately bent, hocks well let down. Scored in movement over the second with accuracy of footfall. I thought her really typical and in the challenge, she just stood out and could not be denied the CC and later BOB. It transpired that she was my RCC winner last time I judged the breed, thank you for bringing her again.

2nd: 2958 HOLGATE, Mrs Jill & HOLGATE, Mr Charles Nadavin Zahlee

Really like this liver girl on the stack, she pulls into a super shape. Her head is well shaped giving that typical noble field expression. Decent neck into shoulders which are well laid, standing on straight legs with flat bone. Not as tidy as the winner in neck which spoilt her outline a little. Good depth to forechest, decent spring of rib and good length of back. Stifles have a moderate bend to them. Scored in profile movement, not quite as tidy as the winner in front action. She was pushed hard by the veteran winner in the challenge but just had the better action. Pleased to award her the RCC.

Class 1657 SBB (1 Entries) Abs: 0

1st: 2972 PORTER, Mrs J M Kingsmist Agatha Christie at Winsbrook

Six-year-old lady in gleaming coat and super condition. She is feminine in head with a pleasing expression enhanced by expressive eyes. Good in neck into well-laid-back shoulders, decent return of upper arm, well-made body, well ribbed up, firm in loin and holds her topline well. Well-made hindquarters, moderately bent stifles, hocks well let down. Moved out well with a good action.
