Young chap just 16 months who presented a good shape and overall outline. I liked his headpiece, which was of a good shape and a good eye to give an appealing expression. Good angles front and rear, shoulders moderately well laid back, stands on good well boned legs. Well made in body, compact with a short loin. Stifles well bent. Moved out well. My Best Special Beginner.

1st: WHITWORTH, Mrs Judi Mad Max Madiba of Freworth (Imp ITA)

Very promising young dog of 10 months, he has everything in the right place. He is squarely built and presents a clean outline. Good head on him, moderate, good stop and appealing eyes giving a masculine expression. Neck of good length, into a well assembled front, stands on well boned legs. Well made in body and quarters, coat has good curl. Moved out well to take the class and later Best Puppy over his litter sister. Should have a bright future ahead of him

2nd: LIGHTFOOT, Mr David Hulme Rajo Del Carpino Nero

Another puppy of good overall type, not as together as the winner today but has lots of potential. His head is developing as it should for his age, short neck into a decent lay back of shoulder and return of forearm. Body developing as it should be. Good coat coming through with curl. Needs to settle on the move to complete the picture.

Squarely built, I liked this chap’s head and expression, enhanced by a well-shaped, dark eye. Short in neck into a well assembled front. Stand on good legs and feet. His body is well proportioned, for his age, he has a well-developed chest, short through the loin and stifles well bent. Coat of good texture. Moved out well to take the class, if he carries on developing in this vein he will have a bright future ahead of him.

1st: 667 WHITTICK, Mr Simon & WHITTICK, Mrs Barbara Arcticbreeze Turbulence at Allsong

Smart dog of good overall shape and proportions. I liked his headpiece, good overall shape enhanced by a rounded eye giving a masculine expression. Short in neck which fitted neatly into moderately well laid back shoulders, stands on good legs and feet. He is compact in body, has depth to his ribs, a firm loin, and well balanced hind quarters. In super coat and condition. He moved with reach covering the ground to take the class, Best Dog and later Best of Breed.

2nd: YOUNG & DUIGENAN, Mr & Mrs M Mangham Foogel Roberto at Onyxro (Imp Fin)

I liked this young dog a lot, super head and expression on him, masculine expression. Good overall size and balance. He is well made in front, moderate lay back of shoulder, well developed in chest. Good topline, sloping gently. Decent quarters on him. Super coat of good texture. Thought he would be my winner, but he lost his shape on the move, so had to be content with Reserve Best Dog today. Should have a bright future ahead of him.

Pretty head on this lady, enhanced by a round dark eye. Good through the neck into well set shoulders, a tad short in forearm. Body well made, just a shade long in loin. Quarters well developed, stifles are well bent. Moved out well with drive but needs to settle into his action to complete the picture.

Another super puppy, and I note is litter sister to the puppy dog winner. She has a feminine head and expression, good width and stop, lovely eye which really enhanced her expression. Well-made throughout, shoulders well placed, good body proportions and quarters developing nicely. Coat is developing well and should have a good curl. She was tidy on the move, with a good action, held her shape well throughout. Another exciting prospect.

2nd: 664 PIPER, Mr Darren & PIPER, Mrs Sylvia Solipse L'amore Vero at Heidsieck

This young lady was not as together as the winner, just seven months but progressing in the right directions. She has good overall shape and angles, moderately built and balanced. She is feminine in head and expression, with a good eye. Needs to settle on the move to complete the picture.

2nd: 661 MORT, Mrs Lisa Arcticbreeze Keep a Secret

Another promising youngster, I liked her shape and overall balance. She has a pleasing head with a feminine expression. Her front assembly is good, moderate lay back of shoulder. Body proportions good and good rear angulation. Good coat of correct texture. On the move she wouldn’t play ball and didn’t hold her topline today.

1st: MORT, Mrs Lisa Arcticbreeze Truth Or Dare

I liked this young bitch a lot, she was super on the stack, super outline and correct body proportions. I liked her headpiece, feminine, good shape and enhanced by a kind eye. Her front is well made, short in neck into well laid shoulders, stands on correctly boned legs and good feet. Well made in body. Well made quarters, with a moderate bend of stifle. Move out well to take the class, with a good action. Was in my mind for top honours but wasn’t quite as fluid on the move as the open winner, so had to be content with Reserve Best Bitch.

2nd: 663 NELSON, Miss Julie Nelbekio Just The Ticket

Good overall shape on this lady, she has a pleasing head with a kind expression. Short through the neck, into a decent front assembly, I would like a shade more return of upper arm. Stands on well boned legs. Quarters are developing nicely. Not quite the shape of the winner today and needed a little more drive on the move.

3rd: 654 HELLER, Miss W Arcticbreeze Hopscotch To Floreydown

1st: MORT, Mrs Lisa Arcticbreeze Outbraker

I liked this lady a lot, she has a super balanced headpiece, with an expressive eye. Neck of good proportions, into well laid-back shoulders. Legs well boned and stands on good feet. Well made in body, well developed quarters with stifles well bent. Coat in super condition, woolly in texture with good curl. Move out well in the class with a smooth gait. Delighted to award her Best Bitch. In the challenge against the dog, she just lost her sparkle a little, so gave way to the dog, her brother I was told afterwards.

2nd: WHITTICK, Mr Simon & WHITTICK, Mrs Barbara Allsong Nuova Luna

I like the shape of this lady; she is the correct square appearance. She has a lovely head and expression, kind eye and well-set ears. Strong through the neck, well assembled front, shoulder well set. Well developed in body and good quarters, decent bend of stifle. Not a fluid in action as the winner today which cost her further honours, a very nice type.
