I would like to thank the SHCGB for the invitation and honour of judging at their show, it is always humbling to judge your own breed. Thank you to all the exhibitors who entered and allowed me the pleasure of assessing their dogs. Just as an observation I noted a number of exhibits with straight pasterns and upright shoulders and this did affect placings. I was very happy with the overall quality and my principle winners.

Veteran Dog : 3 Absentees: 0

1st - Ch Hushwing Wezztlee with Keriquel (Mr R & Mrs S Sargent) RDCC & BVD – a dog I have judged before and he still remains a quality dog again awarding the RDCC on this occasion again. Good masculine head, nice shoulder and balance, moved well with drive to will this class.

2nd - Rajarani Dominique (Mrs A & Mr R Houston) – traditional looking dog and a handsome headpiece. Good height to length ratios with good angulation both front and rear. Moved with ease covering the ground easily.

3rd - Salazka's Mr Abernathy at Ashtrax (Mrs H J Snelson) – an attractive boy with a lovely head and one you need to get hands on to appreciate. Angulation good front and rear which showed in profile but a bit erratic on the out and back today. Would prefer a bit more of him.

Minor Puppy Dog : 3 Absentees: 1

1st - Inukshuk My Way Ward Son (Mrs A & Mr R Houston) BPD & BPIS – Good size boy with a nice head for this age, all correct with a soft expression. Steady mover but still loose at this age as expected. Lots to like and was pleased to award him BPIS

2nd - Inukshuk I Prefer Au Revoir (Mrs A & Mr R Houston) – litter brother to winner and same comments apply. Just not as well schooled as littermate but am sure they will swap places on a different day.

Puppy Dog : 1 Absentees: 1

Junior Dog : 2 Absentees: 0

1st - Navajos Starman (Mr & Mrs M R N Emery) – good head, well set and shaped ears. Eyes nice almond shape. Front angles good and matched in rear. Good balance throughout. Height to length ratios good and nice slope to pasterns. Steady mover.

2nd - Komaksiut's Glen Devon Av Ratatuyak at Ceannabeinne (Imp Nld) (Mr H H & Mrs J M Wakker) – Nice youngster, would like a higher ear set, this may change when head matures. Good overall body shape and proportions and nice tail set and carriage. Would like more slope to pasterns and just didn’t match the movement of class winner.

Yearling Dog : 0 Absentees: 0

Novice Dog : 2 Absentees: 1

1st - Navajos Moonage Daydream (Mr & Mrs M R N Emery) – litter brother to previous class winner. Good ears when he decided to use them. Good angulation front and rear. Nice body ratios and lovely sloped pasterns. Nice movement when settled.

Post Graduate Dog : 5 Absentees: 1

1st - Inukshuk O'aningan JW (Miss A V Bryson) – pied boy of good shape and balance. Nice masculine head but not coarse in any way. Lovely oblique eyes, ears well set and used. Good slope to pasterns, moved with ease and ate the ring up on the move.

Masculine head that some may find heavy but his expression is to die for. Ears good shape, size and set. Ears lovely almond shape and set obliquely. Body ratios spot on ang lovely lay back of shoulder. Nicely sloped pasterns. Moved with such ease and fluidity around the ring he could not be denied today and was thrilled to award him DCC and BIS

2nd - Inneska Malachite (Mr J & Mrs D Mcinnes) – unlucky to meet class winner today but overall a nice shape, size and ratios. Good typical head with nice ears and eyes. Good pasterns and moved out well. Still a young dog and am sure he will do well.

3rd - Inukshuk O'naniitchuk Kulu (Miss A V Bryson) – another nice up and coming dog in a quality class. Head all correct and used ears well, nice expression. Angles front and rear good, nice pasterns. Missed out today due to his behaviour and playing up his handler which affected his movement today.

1st - Ch Hushwing Happy Feet at Inneska JW (Mr J & Mrs D Mcinnes) – Moderaye bitch who was on form today. She moves incredibly well which is down to her construction, well built and angulated as a sibe should be. Would just prefer a more feminine head.
