Bournemouth Championship Dog Show 2024 Long Coat Chihuahua
I was pleased that all exhibits in the younger classes were presented with correct scissor bites and strong dentition. Temperaments are good, and I hope those previously upset by heavy handling were reassured when leaving the table. It was a pleasure to judge your exhibits and to find the small, compact Chihuahua that I love.
BEST OF BREED : 1804 ROONEY, Mr S J Ch Copymear Reign On My Parade With Yorone – My star of the day. What a little firecracker she is. Typical Chihuahua characteristics, alert little dog; swift moving with brisk, forceful action and saucy expression. Clean, correct dentition correct length of muzzle, definite stop, large round melting dark eye and large ears set correct. Slightly arched length in neck leading to a level top line and perfect tail set, that didn’t stop wagging. She has a good amount of coat, just enough so that her beautiful attributes are not hidden. Small in size, sturdy in body excels in temperament, and personality which gave her the edge over the equally typical male. Pleased to see her short listed in a strong toy group.
Dog CC : 1815 TODD-MCCOID, Mrs Leah & TODD-MCCOID, Mr. Nicholas Ch Rubyanlo Close Call – When you listen, you learn. Congratulation to this young handler, who I have watched grow in confidence and her kennel is producing quality exhibits. He too possesses typical characteristics, alert, swift moving with brisk, forceful action and saucy expression. Clean, correct dentition correct length of and slightly pointed muzzle, definite stop, large round dark eye and large ears set correct. Slightly arched length in neck leading to a level top line and perfect tail set, which is not hidden by a heavy coat. He is put down in top condition, his coat is soft of correct length with feathering. Fine in bone, sturdy in body with no coarseness. A loyal companion to his handler, his attention is rarely taken away from her. Lots more fun to be had for these two.
Res Dog CC : 1791 HUNTLEY, Ms E Jahneemahs Alter Ego – This stylish cream caught my eye upon entering the ring, and did not disappoint upon examination. Fine boned and good overall construction. A beautiful head, large round eye and large ears with correct feathering. Strong dentition. Nice length of neck, level top line and a classic tail set. He moved briskly, covering the ground with ease. Taking the RCC against a couple of strong contenders. He reminds me of some of the later Yeosinga males. He gave me goose bumps. If he matures a little more and keeps his temperament he will no doubt gain his title.
Bitch CC : 1804 ROONEY, Mr S J Ch Copymear Reign On My Parade With Yorone
Res Bitch CC : 1777 FOTHERGILL, Mrs D I’m A Dream Adeline Is My Name ( Imp Ita) – This dual purpose girl is very sound and hard to ignore for top awards. Glamorous in appearance and although a larger specimen she has many attributes that match the CC winner. She moves freely around the ring but is a little lazy on the stand. Still champion quality and I could not deny her.
Best Puppy : 1775 EMMERSON, Mrs M Ismirelle’s Right Back At Ya – A great result against some very nice pups today. Scores in head and expression. Large round eye and correct ears. Correct scissor bite and strong dentition. He has the coat and feathering I would expect for his age. Good bone structure without coarseness. Nice length of neck, level top line and a good tail set carried high. Moved well for and aft and scores in front. One to watch.

Best Special Beginner : 1818 WEBBER, Ms H Paisano Zella
