WELKS Championship Show – 27th April 2024

Stand-in judge for Mr Colin Wills, who had a very nice entry; it was such a shame that he was too ill to carry out the appointment.

As mentioned previously, it was a very nice entry with few absents. I did not find any health issue, but I did find a lot of coarse coats.

Veteran Dog

1st – Mr & Mrs R. Coulter - Blacobby Collier Lad

Nice size black with a lovely head, neat ears and dark eyes. Strong straight bone, shapely rear. Well set tail and moves well

2nd – Mrs Gemma Pike – Gemgwynad Dragonheart at Elvisah

1st – Miss M Cairns – Anzhela Scent Francis

Fawn boy. Lovely contrasting pigment, dark eyes, nice wrinkle, neat ears, wide jaw, moved well.

2nd – Miss N. & Miss H. Cannon & Burroughs – Flashnik Sweet Talkin Guy

A pale fawn with black pigment, dark eyes in well wrinkled head, neat ears, level topline

Clear pale fawn boy with a lovely head, nice size with good bone, straight front, neat feet, black nails, level topline, which he holds on the move. Finished with a good rear and a nice curl.

2nd – Mr N. Walker - Afterglow Wild West Hero at Sunlea

Darker fawn, nice head, good width of jaw, dark eyes, neat ears, straight front, moves well.

3rd – Mr & Mrs G. Mcaleny – Macmoore Movin on

Well known light fawn, nice head, dark eyes, short back with nice set on curl. Good body& bone. Moves well.

Fawn with substance. Moves well

Yearling Dog

1st – Mrs Pike, Hill & Mallinson – Elvisah Sonnentanz JW

Darker fawn with good head, nicely wrinkled with wide jaw, dark eyes, moves well although a little fast.

2nd – Mrs J.J. Truelove – Nijacpugs Hot an Bothered

Pale fawn, good head, level topline with good set on curl. Strong rear. Moved well.

3rd – Miss H. Reynolds – Eastonite Aramis Croftren

Novice Dog

1st - Mr N. Walker - Afterglow Wild West Hero at Sunlea

2nd – Mrs A. Williams – Rosemoorpugs Blue Night Sky

Smaller type, paler fawn with good head, strong rear. Moved well

Graduate Dog

1st – Mr & Mrs G. Mcaleny – Cedilla On the Road again at Macmoore

Darker fawn with short level back, good bone nicely wrinkled head, once settled.

2nd – Ms M. Hickey – Paradiz Ronado Looney Tunes Maschio NAF

Nice type with soft coat. Moved well

Postgrad Dog

Nice size masculine boy with strong bone. Well wringled head with dark eyes. Good width of jaw. Light fawn with plush coat. Level topline. Nice set on curl. Shapely rear. Moves well. CC & BoB

Smaller boy with lovely head, dark eyes, good width of jaw, neat ears, nice tail set. Shapely quarters. Moves very well. RCC

Short compact, clear fawn, good bone, straight front, neat feet with black nails. Nice wide muzzle. Moves well.
