WELKS Championship Show – 27th April 2024

Stand-in judge for Mr Colin Wills, who had a very nice entry; it was such a shame that he was too ill to carry out the appointment.
As mentioned previously, it was a very nice entry with few absents. I did not find any health issue, but I did find a lot of coarse coats.
Veteran Dog
1st – Mr & Mrs R. Coulter - Blacobby Collier Lad
Nice size black with a lovely head, neat ears and dark eyes. Strong straight bone, shapely rear. Well set tail and moves well
2nd – Mrs Gemma Pike – Gemgwynad Dragonheart at Elvisah

Fawn boy. Lovely contrasting pigment, dark eyes, nice wrinkle, neat ears, wide jaw, moved well.

A pale fawn with black pigment, dark eyes in well wrinkled head, neat ears, level topline

Clear pale fawn boy with a lovely head, nice size with good bone, straight front, neat feet, black nails, level topline, which he holds on the move. Finished with a good rear and a nice curl.

Darker fawn, nice head, good width of jaw, dark eyes, neat ears, straight front, moves well.

Yearling Dog

Darker fawn with good head, nicely wrinkled with wide jaw, dark eyes, moves well although a little fast.

Pale fawn, good head, level topline with good set on curl. Strong rear. Moved well.

Novice Dog

Smaller type, paler fawn with good head, strong rear. Moved well

Darker fawn with short level back, good bone nicely wrinkled head, once settled.
