My thanks to the committee for the honour in affording me the opportunity to award Challenge Certificates in the breed that I grew up in. We must not forget that it is a privilege to do so. My thanks to the exhibitors who entered under me and special thanks to my stewards, who kept the ring moving.

Minor Puppy Dog

1st Casarows Alba Kirk Key (Mr &Mrs C Sparrow). A pretty young man, who is nicely angulated – nice overall shape and head – good ear set too – happy and showed his socks off. Lots to like here, will certainly come in to his own as he matures.

2nd Sundance Kid Secret Angels at Chantaydan (Miss C Taylor) Another pretty youngster, who is small and dainty. Good mover and he held a level topline. Nicely angulated. Could have easily swapped with 1 on a different day. Another quality exhibit.

Puppy Dog

1st Rubyanlo Tommy Hilfiger of Talocan (Miss D Gilling) Handsome male, he is a lovely shape, nice size and shape, attentive to his handler, nice saucy expression, typical chihuahua – moved soundly and owned the ring on the move. One to watch.

2nd Trefnanney Charles Dickens (Mrs S Hughes) Nicely angulated throughout and shape, large well-placed ears, true front, he was presented in good order, well set and carried tail.

3rd Rubyanlo Dream Boy (Mr N and Mrs L Todd – Mccoid)

1st Trefnanney Thomas Hardy (Mrs S Hughes) Pretty youngster in profile, nice shape and size – with the sauciest of expressions, prettiest of heads moved well and held his topline well.

2nd Chirouxe Little Things TAF (Mr W E & Ms J Heap & Palmer) Another lovely specimen, nice ear set and used them well. Nicely angulated throughout and balanced. Showed with attitude. Moved soundly.

Yearling Dog

1st Lykath’s Anduril (Mrs K R & Mr J D Culverhouse) A lovely exhibit. In great condition. Lovely dark eyes with ample feathering on ears; used them well. He certainly likes to get a bit carried away on the move. Nicely angulated – with nothing overdone. One to watch for the future I say.

2nd Mujerosa Lucky for Me JW (Mrs A Skinner) A happy youngster, with correct bite. Nicely put together with everything in proportion. Moved soundly.

3rd Return to Senda with Gustafski (Mrs H Skivington)

1st Leathea’s Rockstar DJ (Miss SE Martin) Lovely shape, moderately angulated throughout, a nice young man in profile with a pretty head, good spring of rib and nice movement. Overall, a nice picture of a dog.

2nd Mujerosa Hats of To You JW (Mrs A Skinner) Another nice dog, sound and well made. Lots to like here. On a different day could have swapped places.

Limit Dog

1st Lemaritz Obi Wan Kenobi at Chibul (Mrs J Davis) A very flashy dog- moved soundly. Well put together and balanced throughout pleasing tail set and ample featherings.

2nd Macidendas Ra (Mr WE & Ms J Heap & Palmer) Another quality example of the breed, super head and lovely dark eyes. Could have easily swapped places on a different day. Moved soundly and carried his tail well.

3rd Loroso Little Amadeus (Mrs R L Morley)

1st Ir Ch Chantico Tiny Dancer (IKC) (Miss S Mckenna) This handsome chap caught my eye upon entering the ring. Lovely size and shape. Beautifully balanced throughout; exceptionally dark eyes too. Just oozes quality. Showed like a little superstar.

2nd Ch Rubyanlo Close Call (Mr N & Mrs Todd – Mccoid) hard choice here – two lovely dogs- both deserved of their respective titles. Another lovely sized and shaped dog. Beautiful expression on his face. Moved soundly.

1st Leathea’s Mums Little Star (Miss SE Martin) A nice shape with pleasing, well placed and set ears- lovely dark eyes. Moved soundly and with drive. Nice head too.

2nd Ch Lynpix The Mexican with Becanna (Mr L E & Mrs L A Hill) Lovely wolf sable. Pleasant expression and well balanced throughout. Showed well.

1st Bramerita Little Red Head (Mr K & Mrs S Hornby) This kennel never disappoints – just screams ‘chihuahua’ everything is where it should be and balanced – beautiful eyes, lovely and dark. Appropriately angulated and such a show girl. Certainly, one to watch for the future – moved so true and soundly.

2nd Pappersley Chomolungma (Miss R J & Ms W Berrington & Smith) Another youngster who shows promise, unlucky to encounter 1 today. Lots to like, and I am sure will come in to her own as she matures.

3rd Lovchi Billi Eilish NAF (Mrs R Lovric)

1st Dorenty Textututango (Miss D Entwistle) A nicely constructed bitch, who again has a beautiful shape. Lovely head and eyes – moved soundly and showed on a sixpence – this handler certainly gets the best out of her dogs. Certainly, one to watch for the future.

2nd Rubyanlo Cherry Bon Bon of Talocan (Miss D Gilling) Typical in head, lovely defined stop – well-made throughout and everything in proportion. Moved soundly and true.

1st Lykath’s Laura Thyme in Pixels (Mrs L Carter) This young lady caught my eye upon entering the ring, so pretty in her expression and head. Everything in proportion and balanced. Moved soundly and with attitude.

2nd Ismirelle’s Right Back at Ya (Mrs M Emmerson) Another promising bitch – confident yet nothing over done here – everything where it should be and moved soundly.

2nd Ch Copymear Reign on My Parade with Yorone (Mr S J Rooney) I have judged this lady previously and have awarded her a CC, she is so worthy of her crown, screaming ‘chihuahua’ shown to perfection and presented elegantly – something this kennel is renowned for. 1 just demanded my attention today- having the slight edge.
