Many thanks to the committee for the judging appointment and of course to my stewards who kept the ring flowing smoothly and for all the exhibitors, many of whom could change places very easily at another show on another day,

1 Wheeler Elgert King For A Day this young male of 9 months caught my eye on entering the ring with a typical head a lovely hazel eye with the perfect expression of a field, well boned and good depth and moderately sprung ribs perfectly balanced great level topline for a young dog feathering still required but that will come, moved well round the ring with drive, owner needs to stack and present him to show off his true profile and frame BP 2 Jones Sonnetend You Belong With Me a lovely 8 month old feminine bitch shame she had to meet up with first place as he had slight maturity on his side. She has the perfect feminine head with good hazel eye low set ears and good bone a level topline slightly shorter in loin but still looked balanced moving well round the ring 3 McVitty Sonnetend Eternal Flame

1 Wheeler Elgert King For A Day repeat of first place in puppy

2 McVitty Sonnetend Eternal Flame litter sister to second in puppy she has a lovely head with hazel eyes, she is on the smaller side at the moment but plenty of bone and has time on her side to catch up good spring of ribs and a level topline on the move enjoying her time ring and took time to settle when being moved

Open was a hard class to judge as quality shone through all the class and any of my top three could swap places at another show. I found out my BOB also won Best Veteran in show

1 Osborn SH CH Elgert Lady Sta’dust JW VW A girl I have admired from the side of the ring and I can see why she does well she was in excellent condition, presented perfectly has a lovely head shape and low set ears, long muscular neck, with moderately sprung ribs leading to a strong level topline and correct length of loin a good bend of stifle and well let down hocks, her black coat was in great condition she moved round the ring without any effort for a dog who is nearly 8 BOB

2 Moore Elgert Sweet Little Lies At Gadhelic VW half-sister to first place and the quality shines through even at 9 years, she gave first place a run for her money and I was splitting hairs between them. Presented in great condition and a total honour to go over this lovely liver girl, perfect head with low set ears and lovely hazel eyes, strong neck and well placed shoulders leading to lovely body with correct spring of ribs and level topline standing and on the move she lost out on first place today as didn’t move with the drive that she normally has.
