1st Matthews & Adams Carofel Wings of Hope. Stood alone, O/W male, 9 months. Masculine, well proportioned, head, not overdone, dark eyes with a kind expression. Shoulders well laid back with an elegant neck. Good angulation, front and rear, allowing his movement to be true with a good stride. Best Puppy and Gundog Puppy Group 2

Junior (2,1)

1st Webb’s Tenshilling Jimmy Mack, 14 month old O/W masculine boy, shown in hard condition. Good bone with good angulation front and rear, true in front, brisket well let down, moved soundly.

Post Grad (5,1)

1st O’Neill’s Tenshilling to Sir with Love, Elegant and powerful O/W bitch, . Good bone and angulation. Well proportioned head, lovely, kind expression. Moved true. Res BOB

2. Collins’ Collholme Angelique. Good head, correct rear angulation, moved soundly

3. Stilgoe & Oliver’s Teisgol Heaven Sent

A class full of quality, the first 3 were close up 

1st Westaway’s Teisgol Keep On Going via Penwest JW, Lemon/White boy and one that I have admired from the ringside. Still a youngster who will continue to develop, but he has a super head shape with a muscular neck, shoulders well laid back with correct angulation, front and rear. Brisket well let down. His movement is true, powerful and effortless with a level tail carriage. BOB, Gundog Group 1 and BIS

2nd Philo’s Tenshilling It’s My Party for Salmonmist JW. Another very nice male, with a beautiful head, short coupled with correct rear angulation, moved soundly but just preferred tail carriage of my winner today. 

3rd Dunn’s Caithpoint Kora At Meadowpoint, a favourite of mine, and thought she would be my winner but today, her rear movement let her down, probably because she couldn’t get enough grip on the poor floor surface.

PUPPY (5,1)

1st Sharples’ Kanietter Sabonette. Lovely Blue Belton English Setter, 10 month old bitch, head of good proportions, dark, kind, eyes, elegant neck of good length. Level topline with good angles, front and rear. Decent bone and moved very true. Should have a promising future. Best Puppy & Gundog Puppy Group 1.

2nd Davey’s Eald Bull Eagle, 6 months old Sussex Spaniel, very sound moving boy with good bone and angulation

3rd Davies & Brown’s Gunalt Polished at Wystry, Weimaraner

JUNIOR (10,2)

1st Merritt’s Sperant Chocolate Cosmos JW GSP. Decent bone and feet, firm, level topline, moved soundly with strong rear movement. Very smart in profile

2nd Da Silva & Sexton’s Amarantos Katana for Ertekes, young male Hungarian Vizsla, very sound moving boy with a level topline and good rear angulation. Would prefer a more Cat-like foot and his colouring is a little too pale for me, but overall an honest dog with a good temperament

3rd Bambrook’s Winsleywood Waghorn at Ravoakar, Labrador Retriever

POST GRAD (10,3)

1st Dolman’s Zebec Frankel, 2 year old Hungarian Vizsla male, really liked his type, still has some maturing to do, but he is balanced with a decent layback of shoulder, moderate length of neck, level topline, good rear angulation and good, tight feet. He moved soundly with a nice action. Res Best AVNSC

2nd Jennings-Sharman & Sharman’s Wansleydale Mayfly, tri colour bitch, correctly proportioned head, good length of neck with a decent layback of shoulder. Well angulated front and rear and a good spring of rib. She maintained a level topline and moved soundly. Her coat wasn’t at it’s best today.

3rd Bambrook’s Winsleywood Waghorn at Ravoakar, Labrador Retriever

LIMIT (2,1)

1st Watts’ Oakmarsh Freedom, Chesapeake Bay Retriever, 4 year old bitch Good head shape with a strong neck. Good depth of chest and strong hindquarters, moved soundly

OPEN (11,4)

1st Hodgkinson-Rutherford & Rutherford’s Sh Ch Zorrazo Hey There Yogi Bear. A favourite of mine, he is so balanced and robust with a super head and a kind expression. He has a deep chest and well sprung ribs, but his movement is where he excels, he has so much power in front and rear. Best AVNSC & Gundog Group 2

2nd Bradley’s Highforce All or Nothing JW, Hungarian Vizsla male, still a youngster but he is developing really well. I liked his head, he has a strong neck, a decent layback of shoulder and a strong, level topline. He stands on good, tight, feet and has good rear angulation. His movement is sound and true.

3rd Watts’ Sh Ch Oakmarsh Chestnut, Chesapeake Bay Retriever

1st Westaway & Edmondson’s Teisgol Nimue by Perdizcyo, 9 month old Portuguese Pointer Bitch, super temperament, broad head with a well defined stop. Shoulders well laid back, moved very soundly for a youngster. Best Gundog Import Puppy & Gundog Puppy Group 4

1st Adams’ Achouffe Philanderer ShCEx Slovakian Rough Haired Pointer. This dog is so masculine but has an elegance about him. His head is correctly proportioned and he has a good length of neck, level topline and well sprung ribs. His movement is sound and very strong. Very well handled to get the absolute best out of him. Best Gundog Import & Gundog Group 3

GUNDOG VETERAN

1st O’Neill’s Sh Ch Tenshilling Home Alone JW ShCM, super O/W male Pointer, now 8 years old and still in fabulous coat and condition. He’s masculine and still very elegant. He is, without doubt, a series of graceful curves and has correct angulation, front and rear, with no exaggeration. His movement was very true and sound, with a good, lashing tail, carried correctly. 

2nd Da Silva’s Sh Ch Bournehouse Crispin, 10 year old Hungarian Vizsla, this boy just keeps going, he’s in super condition. He moved very soundly, keeping a strong and level topline, it was a very close decision between these two.
