Thank you to the Committee for inviting me to fill in .. I was happy to help out. A big thank you to my Steward, Chris, who kept me on track. A lovely entry with quality dogs which gave me split choices in the classes. Thank you to the exhibitors for the opportunity to go over your dogs.

Puppy D/B (7,3)

1st Harris’s Zakhan’s Rough Diamond by Konakakela

11 month old dog I judged when younger and liking how he his developing. Nice outline with good overall balance. Masculine head with gentle expression. Correct depth to muzzle, parallel planes to his head with correct earset. Nice length of neck flowing into well laid back shoulders. Good in front angulation. Would prefer slightly more in stifle but this could be an ‘age stage’. Held his topline on the move. Best Puppy in Breed.

2nd Bielecka’s Yokohoma Lofty (Imp Pol)

This 8 month old bitch puppy has come under me in a past show and I could not assess her due to her behaviour. Today was a different matter. Pretty bitch with nice coat for her age. Well balanced outline with neat feet, good angles fore and aft. Deep chest with well sprung ribs. Moved well and it was a close decision. Will watch her future with interest.

3rd Zakhan’s Diamond Jack

Special Yearling D/B (7,2)

1st Mugford’s Lynwood Rather Scrumptious JW

A lovely 14 month old bitch. An overall balanced girl with nothing over-exaggerated. A pretty head with melting expression, adequate stop and correct earset. Nice length of neck flowing into good layback of shoulder. Correct topline and tailset. Deep in chest with well laid back ribcage. Strong in loin. Neat feet. Very good on front and rear angles, which she used to advantage on the move.

2nd Need’s Covarney It Takes Time with Stourford

Elegant 23 month old dog. Masculine in head but gentle in expression. Good in stop and earset. Adequate length of neck. Good in angles fore and aft. Tight feet. Deep chest with well sprung ribs. Show with enough coat at his age. Moved very well. Just preferred the overall balance of my winner on the day.

3rd Clarke & Clarke’s Covarney Dream Time from Bronrians JW

Post Graduate D/B (3,1)

1st Rourke’s Zakhan’s Dream Believer

Very neat 4 year old bitch. Nothing overdone. Nice head with correct eyeshape and earset. Angles are good fore and aft. Deep chest with well sprung, well laid back ribs. Presented in very good condition which showed in her strong movement. Would have like a slightly better tailset and more coat which affected the overall picture in the challenge.

2nd Gardiner’s Harreds Dillon of Blaysdell

Nice upstanding male with good outline and lovely coat condition. Masculine head with good expression. Nothing overdone in any department. Gave his handler a bit of a hard time today but settled to move well.

Open Dog (8)

1st Pym’s Thendara Marshmello JW

A beautifully presented dog I’ve watched from the ringside and not disappointed on going over him. Well balanced with good angles throughout and excellent bone and feet. Masculine head with correct planes, eyeshape and ear set. Enough neck flowing into firm topline and good tailset. Good in forechest with deep chest and ribcage laid well back. Well groomed and presented in good condition. Moved well but just preferred the ‘show presence’ of my BOB on the day. Reserve Best of Breed.

2nd MacDonald’s Redclyst Head Full of Dreams

Lovely outline on this dog. Shown in good coat and condition. Different type to my winner being a slightly longer in body. Nice outline with good angles throughout. Balanced in head. Adequate neck. Good bone and feet. Would personally prefer a slightly darker eye. Moved well with drive.

3rd Need’s Covarney Paco Rabanne at Stourford

Open Bitch (2)

1st Morgan’s Sh Ch Jetsetter Cristalle to Polmennor (Imp Rus) JW

Lovely bitch I judged when younger but she has improved with age. Took my eye as she entered the ring and when I went over her did not disappoint. Balanced, pretty feminine head. Strong topline and good tailset. Deep chested with correct front assembly. Well ribbed back with strong loin. Shown in enough coat. With good muscle condition, she moved with drive and extension. Pleased to give her Best of Breed and happy to hear she won the Gundog Group.

2nd Hadfield’s Covarney Estee Avec Marzanne JW

Different type of bitch but a lot of comments on first apply to this one. She is well balanced and correctly angulated throughout. Feminine head with lovely gentle eye. Loved her movement today but just not the ‘pazzaz’ of the winner.
