My thanks to the Wrexham KS committee for my appointment, a very well managed & friendly show, making use of both the indoor and outdoor facilities that promotes a lovely atmosphere, especially on a sunny day looking to the hills. After a 3 year absence due to the consequences of COVID-19 I would to thank the exhibitors for their entries & my excellent stewards on the day. Presentation and temperaments were excellent.

1st McDonalds  -  Newfangled Frute Loonie

At just a shade off 2yrs, this super boy has great size with lovely bone to match. Still has some maturing to do, presents a clean, masculine head which is still developing. Showing a dark eye although I would prefer a tighter rim which should improve with maturity. Good ear & bite leading into a nice length of neck. Excellent depth of chest, with an extending rib, correct croup & tail set which was well feathered reaching just past the hock. Well balanced all through with excellent front & rear angulations, I loved his profile & as he strode out correctly & purposefully around a small ring, well presented  full coat and handled beautifully. Shows great promise as he matures on RBOB.

2nd Lloyds - Cewrirdwr Morgana

This pretty young 2yr old lady has everything in the right place with nothing exaggerated, as she matures on in depth and presents in a full coat I would expect her to do well in the breed. Good head, ear and bite were complemented by the best of dark expressive well set eyes. Excellent length of leg, depth of chest, short coupled with correct croup. Well balanced muscled front and rear angulations which showed in her foot perfect movement with no toeing in. Very well presented and handled.

1st Hudson & Bone’s - Newfangled Bone Idle

I have watched this lovely 5 yr male mature from a puppy. In profile he presents such a balanced picture to the eye. Hands on he has excellent size, bone, front and rear angulations with correct depth of chest plenty of heart room and short coupled. Another with correct croup, tail set and length. He was certainly fit with plenty of muscle allowing him to move well, straight coming to & with a clean pair of heels driving from the rear. Finished with a super well presented coat and handled to perfection. I loved him and hope he makes up and more. BOB, WG1 & BIS, congratulations.
