I would like to thank the committee for the invitation to judge the scheduled toy breeds and my first time judging the toy group. The committee was very welcoming and hospitable.
Its such a shame that that committees across the country are struggling to find stewards as without them shows cannot run smoothly. That said I had stewards who kept the ring running very smoothly.
Bichon Frise

1st Mrs M Moss and Miss A Connelly - Ashmair Live To Tell Mamose. 2 year old male who scored greatly for his shape and size. Good width and depth to head with the most captivating dark, round eyes with super dark pigmentation. Good length to muzzle. Graceful arch to neck with good length leading into a strong topline fined with a well muscled loin and met by a good tailset which is set and carried well. Tight round feet with black pads. On the move there was plenty of drive behind and reach in front. BOB TG4

1st Dr Mandy and Mr P Hood – Rabymar New York. 9 month old Ruby dog with a lovely temperament. Masculine head with dark round eyes placed well. Good length to muzzle with enough cushioning for his age to give a soft expression. Flat skull between the ears that are set high. Has a good spring of rib and depth of chest. Moderate length of neck which drops down into a good shoulder placement. This boy is going through a growth spurt as he is slightly croup high and the tail is set higher than preferred. BPIB

1st Audrey Maxwell – Poundroll Nina. 3 year old Tri Colour Bitch. Feminine head with dark round eyes which are placed well. Good length to muzzle. This girl exudes in personality which keeps her handler on their toes. Good clean front, good depth to chest and spring of ribs. This bitch is carrying a little more weight than preferred. Moved out well with plenty of rear drive.

1st Alison Walker – Stavonga Sky Walker Kayceekay. 2 Year old Blenheim Male with a good head with flat skull and high set ears. Large dark round eyes which are set well. Good length to muzzle and correct bite. This dog was well presented with a rich chestnut. Level topline and finished off with a tail that is set well and continues the topline. Good forechest, dept of chest and spring of rib which elbows are close to. Moved out well to achieve BOB.
2nd Mr and Mrs I Sidgwick. Ch Salegreen Peony for Paulian JW SHCM.7 year old bitch who is still looking great. Scores well for shape and size and you can see why she was a Champion in her prime. Feminine head with correct proportions. High set ears. Dark round eye. Plenty of cushioning to give that sought after soft expression. Good length to neck which flows nicely into a level topline and finished with a well placed tail. Moved soundly on the move. Preferred the head on 1

1st Daisy Mason – Crownlakes Denis the Menace. 9 month old puppy dog who demanded my attention at all times and this was definitely enhanced by a handler that is super empathetic towards her puppy. Super smart head piece with definite stop. Lovely large eyes which have a wicked expression. A graceful arched neck which leads nicely into a level topline finished with a high set tail carried well on the move at all times. Enough chest for age. Where this boy scores highly is when he is on the move, the movement is light with a good reach and a great drive from behind. Pleased to Award BOB and BP, TG3, TPG2. I will watch this puppy with interest.
2nd Mrs C & Miss B, Ms L Patterson – Dyn Asti Sparkle and Shine Avec Bratilda. 11 month old bitch who has a lot to like although not the most confident on this occasion. Good headpiece with large eye. Good length to muzzle. Clean straight front. Level topline which is finished with a tail that is set well and carried high. On the move there is a lightness with plenty of reach and good drive from behind.

1st Elaine Gray – Sanati Soul CH Fiji Love for Rubyanlo (IMP UKR). 2 year old male who made his handlers day very difficult. Just wasn’t his day today as he became very stubborn and refused to walk. That said he had pleasing qualities. Good dome to head with large round eyes that were placed well. Good length to muzzle with definite stop. Clean straight front with elbows tight to chest.

1st Daisy Mason – Crownlake Pandora . Dam of my Junior Class and I can see where he gets his attitude and conformation from. Pleasing head, although muzzle was slightly off centre. Good use of ears which were placed well on the skull. Good length to neck which flows into a strong level topline finished with a tail that was set and carried well. Chest is deep and ribs are sprung with elbows close. On the move is where this girl scores as she is light on her feet with good reach in front and drive behind.
2nd Elaine Gray – Rubyanlo Bertie Buttons. 4 year old male who is of bigger stature. That said he has a masculine head with a good dome shape, eyes are round and placed well in the head. Good length to muzzle with definite stop. Super ear placement. Has enough depth to chest. Not willing to cooperate with owner which made assessing movement a little more tricky. That said he displayed elements of rear drive from his well muscled rear and some reach in front.

1st Jo and Stephen Scott. Cukoton Don’t Cry Daddy. 3 year old bitch who has a lot of pleasing qualities. Scored in overall shape, size and balance. A feminine head piece with great dark pigmentation. High set ears with plenty of coverage. Good length to arched neck which flows nicely into the desired topline which rises over loin and drops off into a low set tail. On the stand the tail is position nicely just below the hock and on the move carried over the back. Would prefer elbows to be slightly tighter to give a better reach in front. BOB

1st Jo and Stephen Scott. Cukoton Sky’s The Limit SHCM. 6 year old bitch who has a good headpiece with correct proportion. Ears set high and used well throughout. Lovely length of neck and flows into the desired topline which rises over the loin. Tail set is slightly higher that the winner of postgraduate. When on the move this girl moves out well carrying tail over the back. On the stand the tail tends to creep up.

1st Colin Gullon - Barnfall Tiffany. 2 year old Red Rough who seemed rather unsettled today. Large round head with good width between ears. Ears are small however today this girls didn’t use them to finish that cheeky expression. Round, dark eyes which are placed well in the head. Clean front limbs with plenty of bone. Good length to neck which leads nicely into level topline finished with a high set tail. Due to being unsettled this girls didn’t carry her tail throughout assessment. Ribs well sprung and enough heart room with the depth of chest.

1st Colin Gullon – Datiro Chickadee JW. A 2 year old red smooth bitch with a lot of attitude who kept her handler on guard at all times. A bitch that scores in shape and size. Lovely round head piece with dark, round eyes set well in head. Definite stop. Chin prominent. Wide front with clean straight limbs and plenty of bone to give the cobby look. Short level back finished with a high set tail with a slight curl. Where this girl came a live was on the move with good rear drive. BOB

1st Jayne Fenwick - Adorele Dreamed a Dream JW. 19 month old Bitch who oozes femininity from the tip of her nose to the end of her tail. Pleasing head of good length. Dark, Almond eyes set well which give a cheeky expression. Great topline with a slight rise over loin finished with a high set tail which was carried well at all times and has plenty of feathering. Great spring of ribs and depth of chest with elbows tight. This girl comes alive on the move with a super rear drive and good reach in front. The owner/handler should be commended on presenting the coat in tiptop condition. This girl will continue to do well. BOB

1st Miss S Harbron – Jaschin Stop and Paws. 2 year old Black and white male. What a happy little soul this dog is. Masculine headpiece. Large dark eye with white showing giving correct expression. Enough cushioning to muzzle. Small well placed ears. Good cushioning to muzzle. Good body with wide deep chest. Clean fine limbs. Good spring of ribs. Level topline and high set tail which could be carried better. Moved out well in profile. BOB

1st Mr and Mrs I Sidgwick – Paulian Where’s Wally JW SHCM. 6 year old Tri Colour dog who headed this class on the move. Well domed head with low set ears. Large dark eyes which are placed well. Graceful neck which leads nicely into a short level back with a tail that is set and carried well. Good spring of ribs and deep chest with elbows close. Clean front assembly. Well muscled rear which is advantageous to this boy as he has super drive which helps cover the ground with plenty of reach in front to match. BOB
2nd Justacharma Northern Magic – Tri Colour. This exhibit was unfortunately not handled by its owner therefore causing a little bit of being unsettled. Good shape, dome headpiece. Ears were slightly higher than that of 1. Dark round eye which are placed well in the head. Good clean front with ample bone. Deep chest with good spring of rib with elbows tight to chest. Greta neck which leads into a strong topline with a well placed tail. I feel if the original handler was handling these places could swap as the movement was very unsettled.

1st – Mrs D A and Miss Z A Richardson – Lansilk Lot’s of Kisses for Hollinsclose. Just over a year old this boy has a lot to offer. Lovely headpiece with large, dark, expressive eyes that lure you in. Good muzzle proporion to the rest of the head. Front assembly is straight and clean with elbows close to a good depth of chest for age. Great feet. Topline is strong and level and is finished with a super tail set which was carried well throughout. This boy moved out with power from a super muscled rear and covers the ground well. BOB

1st – Mrs C, Miss B and Ms L Patterson – Hollinsclose Prisoner Via Bratilda. An up to height male who has a lot going for him. Masculine head with great proportions. Dark, expressive eyes placed well in the head. Plenty of feathering on ears. Clean straight front with ample bone. Good depth to chest and spring od ribs. Level topline which is held on stand and on the move and finished off with a lower tailset and is carried well at all times. Moves out well coming and going, however I preferred the overall size and balance of the junior dog in the challenge.
2nd – Mrs D A and Miss Z A Richardson – Hollinsclose Adore You. 2 year old bitch who is very feminine. Feminine headpiece with good proportions. Ears set well with plenty of feathering. Super length to neck which leads into a level topline and finished with a well placed tail which is carried at all times. Clean straight front with elbows tight to chest. Good tuck up. Muscled rear and moved out well.

1st Mr J J and Mrs W T Urwin – Vickstock Wow Aneeva. 6 month old red bitch. Overall this bitch scores for shape and size. Feminine head with super wicked, dark eyes placed well in head. Good length to muzzle. Ears are placed well but right ear is slightly softer than left. Strong neck which leads into straight back which has a good slope towards rear which is finished with a high set tail which was carried high. Hackey evident. This girl now needs time to mature to develop the chest and spring the ribs. BOB BPIB TPG4.

1st Mrs T Collins – Kentwone Magnum. 2 year old R/W male who had difficulty on the table. A lovely headpiece with slightly rounded skull, definite stop and a finely pointed muzzle. Medium round sized eyed with dark rims. Large ears placed well which have plenty of feathering. Good length to neck which leads into a long level topline and finished with high set tail carried over the back with a great plume. Great depth of chest giving plenty of heart room. Fine boned front with elbows tight to chest and hare feet. On the move is where this boy scores. A light movement with plenty of ground coverage. Credit to owner for presenting this male beautifully. 2nd Ms Vivien Fenn Webster – Adnamashan Take that. 5 year old Tri coloured male who is heavier boned than 1. Good headpiece with good sized eyes placed well in head. Definite stop. Broader muzzle than 1. Large ears placed well on skull with enough feathering. Lovely neck leading into level topline fininished with high set tail. Would have liked to see a little more plume. Moved well.

1st Mrs T Collins – Houm Tet a Tet Ariette at Collness (RUS IMP). 2 ½ year old red and white bitch who scored for shape and size. Very feminine throughout. Super head piece with rounded skull. Low placed dark eyes. Definite stop and a fine muzzle. Super ear placement with large ears and plenty of feathering. Good length to neck which leads nicely into a strong level topline which is held on the stand and move. High set tail with a lovely plume. Good depth to chest and elbow close to chest. Fined boned throughout with hare feet. On the move this girl is light on her feet and moved with purpose. Pushed the Post graduate in the challenge but the male moved out moved her on this occasion. Presented in pristine coat condition
2nd Ms Vivien Fenn Webster – Adnamashan Bat Out Of Hell. 10 year old black and white male who is still very much full of attitude and character. Although this boy is of a certain age its great to see that he still enjoys coming out to showcase himself. Masculine headpiece with correct proportions. Definite stop. Good ear placement with plenty of feathering. Not as light on the move as 1. Straight front with hare feet. Elbows tight to chest. Level topline finished with high set tail and a great plume.

1st Mrs C, Miss B and Ms L Patterson – Bratilda Lightening Boy. A 16 month old fawn brindle boy that stood alone but deserved the awards that he achieved today. A small compact male with everything in the correct place. Good headpiece with broad skull. Would have preferred a little more depth. But that said a super dark round eye, firm underjaw and broad open nostrils. Ears are level with skull with plenty of feathering. Short, thick neck which leads into a short level topline finished off with a high set tail which was carried well at all times with super feathering. Heavily boned and a good bow in front limbs. Super depth and breadth to chest. Enough angulation in rear with strong, low hocks. This dog was presented in the best of coats. Good weight when picked up. Where this boy excelled for me was on the move. A good roll action in front and good rear action. I would love to acknowledge the partnership between handler and dog, the handler was empathetic towards the dog and handled with such grace. Congratulations! BOB TG1.

1st Margaret Cowie – Afterglow Esther La Vista MegiPugi – 11 month old fawn bitch who scored highly in shape and size. Lovely round headpiece with dark, round eyes placed well in head. Short muzzle with wide nostrils. Good clean wrinkle. Wide, Undershot jaw. Dark mask. Small ears which are placed well and finish off the feminine expression. Arched thick neck which leads nicely into a level topline finished with a high set tail with a good tight curl. Good depth of chest for age with elbows tight to chest and a straight clean front. Super rear construction. On the move this girl is a delight to watch. Slight roll covering the ground well. BPIB TPG3.
2nd Mr Nigel Walker – Afterglow Able Mable of Sunlea. Litter sibling to 1 and similar comments apply. Feminine headpiece with dark round eye. Short wide muzzle with open nostrils and clean wrinkle. Small well placed ears. Short and cobby. Moved wider in front than 1. Super neck and topline finished with a high placed tail. Would prefer a tighter curl. Great rear and uses this to her advantage on the move.

2nd Marion Cairns – Pulchra Changing the Guard at Cerang – Masculine year old dog. Compact dog with lots to like. Masculine headpiece with good eye placement. Open nostrils. Small ears and placed well on head. Dark mask. Strong underjaw. Good length to neck leading into level topline. High set tail. Moved out well. Preferred overall balance of 1.

1st Nicola Turnbull – Nicobri’s Gotta Have Faith JW. 15 month old fawn bitch who oozes femininity. Super shape and size, short and cobby. Super headpiece with large, dark eye placed well. Good wrinkle with Open nostrils beneath. Strong underjaw. Ears are small and placed well. Super clean straight front with elbows close to a well filled chest. Thick arched neck which leads into a strong level topline which is finished by a high set tightly curled tail. Rear is constructed well allowing the desired roll but still able to cover the ground well. A well schooled youngster who is very attentive to her owner. BOB.
2nd Lisa Michelle Walker – Sunlea Beryl the Peril. Black bitch with pleasing qualities. Good round headpiece with correct proportions. Dark, round eye. Open nostrils. Strong underjaw. Lovely neck leading into strong topline and highest tail. Curl could be tighter. Super front assembly with elbows close to deep chest. Would have preferred more width behind and moved at a slightly quicker pace to showcase movement.

1st Margaret Cowie Ch Sunlea Cast a Spell Over Megipugi JW. 5 year old fawn dog. A masculine dog throughout. Super headpiece, masculine without being overdone. Well placed ears. Dark, round eye. Open nostrils and good clean wrinkle. Would have preferred a slightly longer neck and little short in body to finish the overall balance of this dog. Super shoulder placement with clean straight front. Level topline with high set tail and curl. Good turn of stifle and move out well.
2nd Mr Nigel Walker – Sunlea Billy Ray 4 year old dog who was a little unsettled today. That said he has pleasing qualities. Good headpiece. Eyes placed well. Dark pigmentation. Open nostrils with good wrinkle above. Good undershot jaw. Ears set well on head. Good length to neck which leads into strong level topline finished with high set tail. Good shoulders with straight clean front and elbows close to a deep filled chest. Rear well constructed. On the move this boy was pulling making him look like he has no chest. So keep an eye on the pace.

Good reach of neck flowing into level topline. Tailet set ok but not carried on the move. Good angles behind. Presented in great condition. Moved out well BOB.

1st Mr G and Mrs L Dixon – Lasagesse Black Magic Woman. 6 ½ month old bitch who I have previously judged at her first Championship show. This girl oozes femininity from the tip of her nose to the end of her tail. Feminine wedge shaped head with almond shaped eyes which gives her a wicked expression. Good length to neck which leads into a super topline with curves in all the right places. Super clean straight with elbows close to chest. Enough depth to chest for age as still maturing. This girl was slightly unsettled in her class. But when it came to the puppy group she settled, dropped her tail and performed well with a lovely low extension evident. BAVNSC, BPAVNSC, TG2, TPG1.

Feminine headpiece with skull slightly rounded with high set ears with plenty of feathering. Large, dark, round eyes placed well. Long arched neck which flows nicely into sloping topline into rounded croup. Well constructed front assembly with elbows tight to a well filled chest. Fine boned throughout. Moderate angulation in rear. Moved out very well. I would prefer head carriage to be forward to prevent front movement being untidy.

Super reach of neck leading into level long topline finished with a great tailset which was carried at all times. Straight clean front with elbows close to well filled chest. Fine boned. Well muscled rear with good angulation. On the move this girl is sound and balanced and held her own to win the class.
2nd Mr Nigel Walker – Sunlea Royal Albert JW SHCM. Y tear old male. Short and cobby. Masculine headpiece with Dark eye placed well. Open nostrils with clean wrinkle above. Strong underjaw. Good length to neck leading into strong level topline. Good bone. Straight front. Rear is ok. Moved out well but was 1 was on top form today.
