Hound Association

Heartfelt thanks to the officers and committee for inviting me to judge and providing me with a lovely pair of helpful and pleasant stewards on the day. The welcome and hospitality I received at this club is second to none and it was a real privilege for me to be invited to be a judge. I would like to thank all exhibitors for providing me with such a lovely entry and their good grace.

IBIZAN HOUND

Post Graduate: (2,2)

1. MCLARTY, Ms C & VESCAN, Dr Denisa Gorgona de Entresaltos, 17 months old. Nice balanced outline, with elegant long neck and the required steep shoulder, feet well arched and thick pads. Moved with the required long stride which was elegant. BOB

2. HAMILTON, Mrs Joan F Heiedra La Princess Rosa de Podi with Harrisclub Naf SVK, this youngster (8 months on the day of the show) just needs a bit of time to settle with her handler, lots of promise, and lots to like. Nice head and ears, long lean neck, steep shoulder, and long clean legs. Movement was a little difficult to assess but I am sure once settle in will do well. BP

Open: (2,1)

1. Hamilton, Gala with Harrisclub (Sp Imp) Another rough coat from this owner, nice head and eye, good ears, moderate angulation with the required steep shoulder and straight forelegs, top line not quite level today, short coupled, long second thigh, moved okay. RBOB

SALUKI

Puppy Dog or Bitch: (5,3)

1. Cannon, Caryna Stefano to Abayomi. Just six months old, this fawn boy is so well put together for his age. Well balanced in outline. Good depth of brisket , good length of back and sufficient length of loin, he moved beautifully. He should have a good future. BP

2. Larden, Wazifi Adira Afiyah Black fringed fawn. A little longer cast, but not showing herself off to her best advantage today. Plenty of time on her side and she has a lot of breed type. Pretty head with correctly shaped dark eyes and expression. Correct feet and pasterns for this breed.

Post Graduate Dog or Bitch: (2,1)

1. Sanders Parker’s Classicus Felicitas JW Quality red and white parti-colour Attractive head and gentle expression, with large well-shaped eye of similar colour to coat. Black pigmentation. Nice forechest. Straight, long bone to the forelegs, lovely pasterns and feet which are long and well-arched. Lovely tuck up and overall balance. Moved very in profile, with the required smooth flowing gait. Much to like and well handled. RBOB

Open Dog: (1,1)

1. De Souza & De Souza & Woodgate, Caryna Taivoa strong, masculine head, lovely gentle expression, and black pigmentation, nice overall balance, deep brisket, and correct spring of rib. Correct and moderately angulated hindquarters with good first and second thigh, and low hocks. A little short in profile movement and would prefer a little more reach in front movement.

Open Bitch: (1,1)

1. Garratt & Oakey, Caryna Esperanza: Cream girl, with lots of breed type I really liked her. Lovely outline, with classic head which was long and narrow, shoulders well set back as required and deep chest which was moderately narrow. Correct strong supple toes and feet and demonstrated the correct smooth flowing gait which was lovely to see in profile. BOB
