Firstly I would like to give thanks to the Officers and Committee for asking me to judge at their show and all the exhibitors for bringing their wonderful dogs; also to my Steward Claire for keeping me company and doing an excellent job keeping watch over me.

Labrador Retriever – Puppy 3(1)

1. Metcalfe’s RUMHILL BERTIE WOOSTER BY BAILYDALE, An eye catching youngster chocolate dog 7 1/2 months old dog. Broad muzzle, scissor bite and correct ear placement on a good sized broad skull. Correct angles front and rear with well laid back shoulder, good spring barrel ribs for a pup. Well defined rear quarters and correct otter tail -my BPIB and BOB ultimately Puppy Group 3

2. Welford’s RICHBOURNE LEGALLY BLONDE AT ANKARI, A feminine 6 month yellow finer built than 1st but had plenty to like about her. Well balanced in profile with correct angulation front and rear, good pigment and correct scissor bite. Was a little excited on the move but went well once she remembered what she was supposed to be doing.

Labrador Retriever – Junior 2

1. Metcalfe’s RUMHILL BERTIE WOOSTER BY BAILYDALE – AS FOR PUPPY.

2. Bambrook’s WINSLEYWOOD WAGHORN AT RAVOAKAR JW, Nicely put together 16 month old yellow boy. Good head with width of skull and good length of muzzle; kind expressive head, correct scissor bite. Correct angles front and rear, good set on and excellent otter tail. Moved well for his handler but came up against stiff opposition today. Preferred the overall picture of 1st but still a worthy RBOB

1. Newman’s CREAMWOOD SILVER HAWTHORN, Handsome yellow 3 year old dog, Good length of leg, correct angles front and rear clean lines. Double coat and correct otter tail moved with purpose

1. Burchell’s ORYXES KISSING THE WAVES ON TIVALAKE (IMP CAN) A real eye catching girl. Correct angles front and rear, shown in good hard condition. Shoulders well laid back, Elbows close in with straight forelegs. Deep chested and with plenty of lung room, short back and level top line with strong loin. Moved with drive and purpose RBOB

1. Burchell’s ORYXES KISSING THE WAVES ON TIVALAKE (IMP CAN) – AS FOR JUNIOR

Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever – Open 2

1. Burchell’s TIVALAKE TEMPTATION 7 year old bitch with plenty to show off. A lovely expressive head, clean cut and wedge shaped with a moderate stop. Well laid back shoulder, well boned front legs. Wonderfully balanced in profile, good deep chest with well sprung ribs, correct angles front and rear not over stretched when stacked. Powered around the ring like she was in her own back yard checking for intruders, hard to be believe she is a veteran. BOB

2. Dorrell’s TOLLISTY MOET EN CHANDON JW, a 2yr old dog, stood well for his owner and showed himself proudly. Well balanced in profile with correct angles front and rear, good muscle all round shown in hard condition
