East Kent Canine Society

Thank you to the committee for this invitation and the hospitality on the day. I cannot lie, I was absolutely frozen to the bone. But I am a stoic pastoral person and got on with the day. I had an absolute fantastic day, and I cannot thank all the exhibitors enough for their entries. All breeds were well supported, and sportsmanship was wonderful. A couple of grumbles but you’ll get to know I judge the dog on the day and if you want to know why you were placed where you were, come and chat, contrary to popular belief, I’m a nice guy and always happy to chat about my placings.

1st Barnes & King’s Starvon Fame Awaits for Izlou. 10 month Swedish Vallhund bitch. Presenting a lovely shape, this girl is showing maturity and a well balanced profile. Good for type throughout. She has a lovely shape to her head, correct muzzle, good bite, correct stop, love shape to eyes and ears set correctly. Good length of neck, really good shoulder, correct front and good feet. Nice depth of chest and good spring of rib. Good topline, lovely length of body, hind angulations are good and nice muscle on them. Tail set well, coat in excellent condition. A beautiful mover showing correct effortless stride. BP and PG3.

2nd Dodd’s Chipsmakers Fredrika Stenhammar of Tanellis (Swe Imp). 8 month Swedish Vallhund bitch. Another showing a good shape, but still raw in body at this time. With a good head shape, correct dentition and a lovely skull shape. She has a correct shape to her eyes and her ears are set well. Into a nice front, correct feet. Lovely lay of shoulder, good spring of rib, well coupled, lovely hind angulation, tail set well. Coat of correct texture and in good condition. A lovely mover when settled.

1st Felstead’s Lankeela You Go Boss at Foveaux. A 12-month Lancashire Heeler dog. A nice youngster with so much to like. Has a lovely shape to him. Showing a well-balanced profile. Has a correct shape to skull, with lovely muzzle. Good teeth, correct stop, lovely colour and shape to eyes. Ears are set correctly. Has a lovely length of neck into a well placed shoulder. Nice neat front. Good depth of chest, nicely coupled, good topline with a lovely tail set. Coat in good order. Really good mover.

2nd Lovell & Stevens’ Coriend Seriously Black. Coming up to 14 month Cardigan Corgi dog. A well balanced boy showing a very good masculine outline with no exaggerations. Good head dimensions with a lovely shape to muzzle and correct dentition. Lovely shape to eye, Another with well set ears of correct shape. Nice length to neck. Correct shoulders, nice front, well developed chest, Correct rib set, nice length to loin, good topline, tail set well. Coat in excellent condition with a nice texture to it. Moved out with reach and drive.

1st Bowden’s Subessen Heart of Rome (Re-imp) TAF. 4 year bearded collie dog. Showing a really well balanced profile. Good shape to skull, lovely eye of correct shape, well set ears, nice bite, strong neck, well for front, well placed shoulders, good for bone with nice feet. Excellent rib set, good topline, Lovely length of body, good loin, well coupled, good rear angles, muscled well. Tail set well and of good length. Moved out well showing real drive.

What an excellent class. I loved every minute of judging this. Some really excellent dogs down the line and going cardless.

1st Corin & Camm’s Kligenthal Almuric. One will always get a grumble or two when you put up your own breed but there was no way I could deny this 3 year old Norwegian Buhund dog high praise. I have given him high honours previously and so pleased to see he is still maturing and I have no doubt turning into a future champion. He is of excellent shape and size, with a correct head. Beautiful wedge showing masculinity. He has a lovely front with good bone and really tight feet. He has well placed shoulders into a lovely depth of chest. Good length of body, lovely strong loin, correct topline, tail set and carried well. Lovely hind angulation, well muscled rear. Coat in good condition showing correct textures. Just excelled on the move, showing a very typical, light gait. Definitely a dog that can work all day. Best AVNSC and G2.

2nd Webb’s Ch Barranoaks Etta Bagel. I judged this 23 month Briard bitch as a puppy and loved her then, love her now. She has a superb outline. I like her for just sheer breed type. Everything seemed to be spot on without exaggerations. Had the best of head shapes, with lovely muzzle and correct bite, gorgeous eyes and ears set well. Has a good front, with correct shoulders. Good depth of chest, lovely feet, Topline is correct, length of body is good, tail set well and correctly used on the move. Has lovely hind angles, superb for muscle. Coat of correct texture and presented well. Moved out really well. RBAVNSC.

Up to size and maturing nicely. Good head and lovely ear set, ears used well. Good clean, correct bite. Nice chest and good shoulders, good for bone. Lovely topline and rear end well muscled. Good head on her, correct skull, muzzle ratio, well set ears and a gorgeous expression, good structure, correct angles to front and back. Good top line, well set tail carried correctly. Well muscled in rear and moving out with purpose. Coat in good condition and of correct texture. A very eye catching lady. BIR

Lovely neck, correct front, good for bone, good depth of chest. Nice feet, lovely length of body, nice topline. Good tail set. Hind angulation is good. Well muscled. Really excelled on the move. Coat presented well. RBOB

2nd Bassett’s Dialynne Leave Your Mark at Starlink. 2.5 year old bitch. Good in profile and lovely shape to head, lovely shape to eye and well set ears used to advantage. Good front. Well placed shoulders, nice tidy feet, well set ribs. Good topline, well muscled and coat in good condition. Today, had to concede as 1 was that smidge smoother on the move.

Correct shoulders, nice front, correct feet, well developed chest, Correct rib set, nice length to loin, good topline, tail set well. Another with a well presented coat. Moved out with typical reach and drive. BOB.

1st Austin & Zolakova’s Hysteps My Irish Colleen. 7 month b/w bitch and just superb. I loved her shape and size. Really well balanced and coming along just right. Her head shape is very good with a lovely muzzle, good teeth and lovely stop. Skull is nice with ears set well and used to perfect that typical expression. Good for bone, lovely front and well developed chest. Good rib set, nicely coupled, hind angles are good with lovely muscle tone. Good turn of stifle and good hocks. Coat was in good condition and presented well. Just so super fluid on the move. Really nice to watch in profile. BPIB PG1.

2nd Hartfield’s Moshanta Memories Move On. Coming up for 11 months. This B/W bitch is another super example of the breed and I wont be surprised if the first two swap places on occasions. She has a lovely profile, well balanced, has an absolutely darling expression, lovely shape to skull, good muzzle, lovely shape eyes. Ears set well and of good length. Has a nice neck length into a super lay of shoulder. Correct front, really nice free. Lovely depth of chest and good rib, into a nice loin. Good rear angulation, topline is correct and tail set well. Coat is of good condition showing correct texture throughout. Moved out well with super drive.

Ears are set well showing off that expression. Nice shape to neck, good placement of shoulders and a nice front. Correct feet, lovely rib set. Correct rear angles. Tail set well and used correctly. 2nd Cox’s Foxbarton Royal Prince. 5 year R/W dog. Lovely in profile. Well balanced. Lovely head, shape, nice size muzzle, together with his correct eyes giving that good typical expression. Good clean bite. Well set ears. Lovely strong neck, well placed shoulders, good topline, deep chest, well angulated rear and good for muscle tone. Coat in excellent condition, tail carried nicely. Strided out well.

1st Hartfield’s Moshanta May Contain Nuts JW ShCEx OSW. Stood alone in this class but I will never tire of watching this 3 year old b/w male. I like his overall masculinity throughout. strong head, good muzzle, good bite, correct stop, good dentition. Ears set well and carried alert at all times. His neck is of good length and he is well for front with correct feet. Deep chest, well set ribs, nice coupling, good rear angles, good strong stifle and well let down hocks. Tail set well, carried correct. Nice quality coat. Superb on the move. BOB

A lovely typy head with correct muzzle, correct dentition, correct stop and lovely shape and colour to eyes. Ears set well and used correctly to enhance expression. Good length of neck, lovely well placed shoulders, good front, correct feet, nice depth of chest, well sprung ribs, nicely coupled. Lovely topline, good length of back, tail set well. Coat in immaculate condition. On the move showed good strength and effortless drive. BP and RBOB.

2nd Primmer’s Riverside Song Paloma Nera at Colcanis (imp Rom) NAF TAF. 11 month tri bitch. She has a good profile, nice shape to head, correct bite, lovely shape to muzzle, correct stop. Lovely dark eye of correct shape. Ears set well. Good shoulder. Good depth of chest. Lovely rib and good loin. Correct rear angles and good for muscle. Coat is in immaculate condition and well presented. Lcking the drive on the move today.

A good mover, again showing a good stride.

2nd Wells’ Amalie Just Annie at Terelimon. 3 year sable bitch, slightly larger frame than 1 but has correct balance. Good in skull, showing correct dimensions. Good bite, Lovely shape to eye. Good neck and well placed shoulders. She has a clean front, good depth of chest and lovely topline. Rear angles are good and tail is set well. Coat in lovely condition. When moving was very typical, showing a really good stride.

1st Benton’s Ch Brooklynson El Dorado ShCEx. 6 year sable dog. I liked him for his sheer breed type and showmanship. There was just an honesty about him. Was always showing his socks off. In profile a very good shape and size, showing balance. His head shape is lovely with everything where it should be to give that true expression. Beautiful dark eye, ears set well, lovely shape to neck and good shoulders. Has a lovely neat front with good bone and correct feet. Plenty of lung room, good topline, nicely coupled, tail set well. Moved out well. I liked him. Just a good honest dog that can work all day. BOB G3.

2nd Lee’s Kaijartuu Ihmissusi JW. 4 year dog and very masculine in profile and giving a good account of himself. I liked his size, and shape. He is very eye catching and good in profile. His proportions are nice. He has a good strong head, good muzzle, correct dentition, lovely shape to eye. Well set ears of good shape. Good neck and chest, well constructed and good for bone, good lay of shoulders, well set ribs, correct topline and excellent rear angulation. Lovely feet, Tail set well and carried well on the move. When moving, really pushes from the rear but makes it look effortless. Well presented and in good condition. RBOB.

Nice front, good set shoulders, deep chested, good length of body, correct feet. good coupling and rear angulation was good. Tail set well and carried correctly. 1st Allen’s Jodipas Valen Time (AI). Just shy of 12 months. Really nice shape to her, very nicely balanced and maturing well. She has a correct skull shape, lovely muzzle, correct dentition. Lovely dark eye and good width of skull, ears of good shape and set well. Front developing well, correct feet, lovely placed shoulders, depth of chest is good. Great topline, lovely tail set, well angled rear end which is well off for muscle. Correct texture to coat. Super mover showing a typical drive. RBOB BPIB & PG1.

2nd Cocks’ Jaqary Blaze of Glory. 11 month dog. Showing masculinity but still needs to mature a smidge more at this time. Very good shape to head with correct dentition and nice ratio to muzzle and head. Well set ears of correct shape. Correct shoulders and good front. Nice feet, good length to neck. Well up on body with correct topline and nice chest and rib set. Well set tail. A very sound mover, just needs a bit more of him all round.

1st Byrne’s Maraj Moon. 22 month dog. Masculine in profile, another with no exaggerations, with good shape to head, ears well set and used to advantage, nicely shaped and dark eyes. Nice muscled neck. well constructed front and rear. Well muscled. Good depth of chest with well sprung ribs. Topline good and held well on the move. coat in excellent condition. On the move he was effortless.

Masculine in body, good head dimensions, good dark eyes of good shape. strong neck, nice front, good feet and good for bone. Topline is good which held well on the move, a good strong mover, good tail set and moved out well. Just a good, solid, honest dog that caught my eye. BOB

Very pretty expression with nice head proportions. Lovely typy wedge shape, good teeth, good pigmentation. Lovely shape to eyes. Ears are set well and of good shape. Lovely topline which held nicely when moving. Well constructed with a good spring of rib. Nicely coupled with hind quarters well muscled and well angulated. Tail is set well and carried correctly. Coat in good condition and showing good textures. A really good mover. BOB, BPIB and PG2.

1st Simms’ Arcticskies The Chosen One. Just shy of 10 month male. Very impressive in profile. I wouldn’t want him any bigger and maturing beautifully. He has a good shape to skull, good muzzle, correct stop and good shape to eye. With adequate reach of neck into shoulders, he had spring of rib down to elbow. A nice clean front with good feet. A correct top line lead to a nice clean, well muscled hindquarters and good turn of stifle. Tail is set well. Coat is correct texture. A real good mover showing correct drive. BOB BPIB G3 and PG4.

2nd He’s Serrano of Poliarine Arktika (imp Ltu). Similar age male and slightly smaller in frame. Good head shape, masculine skull with correct muzzle to skull ratios. Ears set up high, carried well. Dark eye which gives him the best of expressions. Well muscled neck, Body is in correct proportions, Excellent angulation, good for bone and absolutely in peak of physical condition. Good chest, good length of back. Rear angles are good, his feet are correct, tail is set well and carried correctly. He had a good coat of correct textures. His movement is good when he focussed.

3rd Cruttenden’s Mongun Taiga A Call of the Wild for Nativespirits (imp Lith)

1st Cruttendon’s M T A call of the wild f N. 3rd in puppy. 10 month bitch. Lightly built and showing some rawness at this time. She has a good shape to head with correct bite, nice dark eye and lovely set ears. Good placement of shoulders, good for bone. Correct front, good depth of chest. Good topline and rear angles were correct. Tail set high and carried well. On the move, she was showing some immaturity and was slightly erratic. But what I saw when she settled showed light and free movement.

She shows correct drive on the move could watch her move all day. Covering the ground well and really driving out from the rear. RBOB

Lovely lay of shoulder into a lovely nice rib set. Lovely topline, good firm loin, good, well muscled rear which really done him well on the move. Tail set correct. In good coat and moved out well.

1st Fillery-Hammond’s Wavesong Naughty By Design. 7 month shaded sable dog. I liked this one. He came into the ring full of confidence. Well up to size and presenting a very good profile. Masculine all through, right from his head down to his movement. Good head proportions, good skull. lovely dark eye, ears set well. good neck, well sprung ribs and good front with correct feet. Strong shoulders, Nicely coupled and hind quarters strong and well angulated. Tail set well. Really nice when moving, free and effortless. Well presented and in good coat. BPIB

2nd Cheal’s Valdosta Galadriel at Faemadra. 6 month sable bitch. Beautiful profile. A nice feminine shape and presented well. A classic head shape, Good bite. Lovely shape to muzzle, correct ears and a dark eye. Nice neck into a good clean front, well for bone. Well for rib set and a good loin. Correct rear angulation and a nice rear set up. Good for muscle. Coat in good condition and nice texture. Showing positivity on the move.

1st Straw’s Dukeson Just Admire. Just 6 months, a lovely feminine bitch. Lovely feminine head with correct eye and nicely neat ears. Holds herself well. Good front with correct feet, Good depth to chest and nicely coupled. Lovely topline, correct set to tail. Moved out well with smooth flowing strides. I would like to see her in a few months with a smidge more maturity.

1st Fillery-Hammond’s Wavesong’s Chasing Rainbows. 19 month shaded sable dog. I liked this one for his masculine profile and constant showmanship. Nice and solid and all male throughout. He has the best of skulls with correct dentition. Correct bite and good shaped to muzzle. Ears of good shape and set well. Well placed shoulders, good strong front, Nice feet. Sound in topline, lovely length of back. Nice ribs. Good angles in the rear and well muscled. Coat was in very good condition. Well presented. On the move he was full of power, drive and making it look effortless. BOB.

2nd Carolelen Composer at Faemadra. 3 year sable dog and of smaller frame but still of good proportions. Showing a profile of balance and good shape. His head is very typy with good muzzle, good dentition, good stop, lovely eyes and ears set well. Good neck and well laid back shoulders. Clean front, good for bone. Well sprung ribs, nice coupling. Really good angles at the rear and well muscled. Tail set well carried correctly. A clean mover but lacking in drive on this occasion. Coat was of excellent quality and texture.

1st Cheal’s Carolelen Call my Bluff at Faemadra. 4 year sable bitch. Cut from the same cloth as 2nd in post graduate and showing similar traits. Another with a very typical head. Nice correct muzzle, Good dentition, correct eyes giving that good typical expression. Well set ears. Lovely neck, well placed shoulders, good topline, deep chest, good rib. well angulated rear and good for muscle tone. Coat in good condition, tail carried nicely. Moving out well, clearing the ground with ease showing a very typical gait. RBOB

2nd Fagg’s Dukeson Golden Fleece at Lynscot. Nearly 5 year old sable dog. Presented in good condition, this boy is very charming and very balanced, Good head shape, good stop, ears set well and used to advantage. Good front, well for bone, good feet. Lay of shoulder was correct leading to a nice front, good for body and rear angles were correct, Tail set well. Coat in good condition, nice colour and texture. On the move just not driving as well as the winner, but still showed a lively gait covering the ground well.

1st Gardner’s Blossom Queen Bee for Labrastaff. 8 Month old Black Stafforshire Bull Terrier bitch. I was just smitten with her. So good to type, maturing at the correct rate, She has a beautiful profile showing that power and femininity. I like her head, she has a very typical skull shape, nice muzzle, correct bite. Powerful jaw. Good shape to eyes, nice width of skull, ears set correct and of lovely shape. Lovely muscled neck, correct shoulders, has a good depth of chest. Good for bone in front and correct feet. Topline was good and held well. Beautifully muscled through the rear. When moving she was showing a very typical gait. Moved around the ring with power. Will be interested to see her when fully mature.

2nd Fleet & Webb’s Waterbabies Sonic Boom to Eastbury and Hectson (imp ita). 7 month Golden retriever dog. A very impressive dog just demanding to be noticed. In profile shows great balance and a lovely shape. Good shape to head, with excellent muzzle shape, correct dentition, lovely shape to eye of good colour. Good skull and ears set well. A lovely shape to neck leading into well placed shoulders. Good in front, well developed chest and good rib set. Lovely length of back, good topline, well coupled. Rear angles are correct and good for muscle. Tail set correctly and carried well. Coat of excellent quality and correct texture. On the move showed confidence with an effortless stride. A really nice pup.
