Whippets

I would like to take this opportunity to thank Kirkcaldy and District Canine club for inviting me to judge a quality entry of whippets. Being my first breed and still one I hold very dear to my heart I find I can be extra critical of them, but I had very few critiques about my entry today. All dogs were shown in great condition and good coats with expert handling from the exhibitors. Everyone took their placings with gratitude, and I found some great sportsmanship amongst exhibitors, something that can be lacking at times. Most of my dogs today moved very well and I found some very waggy tails which can be quite uncommon for a whippet! Thank to all exhibitors who entered and brought their dogs under me, I found some of my classes very hard to choose between with only a few nitpicks separating them, a few could easily swap places on any other day.

Whippet Puppy (2:0)

1, Mrs F Finch ZENOBIA LOVE ACTUALLY

9 month old fawn female, lovely flat head, long with slight stop, oval shaped eyes, excellent ear shape and placement, long neck with graceful arch, clean cut shoulders, nice deep rib, brilliant topline held well on the move with good arch over the loin, enough tuck up, good angulation in the rear with well let down hocks which allowed for her natural and free movement, in good condition, very excited to see her mature.
