Retriever (Flat Coated)

Puppy (8, 1a)

Carter’s SEAHEART EFFIE AT HARMARLANDA at 11 months old headed this exciting class of promising puppies. Her well balanced outline caught my eye. She has a feminine one piece head, nicely filled under dark eyes. Strong neck flowing well into her shoulders. Well ribbed with good depth of chest and correct tail set. She has strong, moderate hindquarters and stands square on straight legs and round feet. Moved freely and accurately, at one with her handler. Best Puppy.

Lewin’s VYNESBROOK ULTIMATE CHOICE. An enthusiastic puppy bitch at 10 months. Pretty head with flat skull and a cheeky expression well set on her long, clean neck. Strong forehand with equal lengths of shoulder and upper arm. Well ribbed with short loin. She stands true all round with very neat and strong feet. Moved effortlessly holding her topline.

Junior (3)

Egginton & Davis’, PAJANBECK ONE MOMENT IN TIME (AI). A moderate 17 months old bitch in dense and shiny black coat. She has a nicely moulded head with dark eyes and intelligent expression, well set into her strong neck with small ears. Well laid back shoulders with her forelegs set correctly under her body, with clean elbows. Good depth of chest with square loin. Strong, round feet. Accurate mover with level tail carriage.

Beeson’s ESINED BURNING BRIGHT. An enthusiastic bitch of 12 months with a racey outline, very attentive to her handler. Long, clean neck into well placed shoulders leading nicely into her forechest. She has good depth of chest and is well ribbed with a short loin. Moderately angled hindquarters with straight hocks. Standing true all round, as she was on the move. Flowed freely around the ring.

Post Graduate (6, 3a)

McQuade’s GEMSWIN RIVER OF DREAMS. 2 year old bitch, up to size but with all in proportion. Long head, nicely moulded flowing seamlessly into her strong, long neck. Shoulders of good length and well set. Deep chested with a good ratio of her length of ribcage to her loin. Moderate bend of stifle with hocks well let down. Good tail set, with tail carried level on the move. Moved truely with drive.

Egginton & Davis’, PAJANBECK ONE MOMENT IN TIME (AI). 1st in Junior.

Open (8, 5a)

Lewin’s VYNESBROOK DEJA BLEU. A feminine 4 year old bitch with a very nicely moulded, one piece head. She has an intelligent, if a bit mischievous, expression and small, well set ears. Correct forechest and well laid back shoulders. She appealed for her overall balance, being well-ribbed with a short and square loin. Her rear angulation balances her front and she stands foursquare on round, strong feet. Although not in her best coat, she is well muscled which supported her accurate movement as she flowed around the ring. Best of Breed.

Scaife’s SHENNANJOY WALKING MIRACLE. 4 year old bitch in dense black coat with lovely shine. Typical well balanced head with dark eyes, set nicely on her strong neck of the correct length. Liked her depth of chest, standing with her forelegs well under her body with clean elbows. Strong hindquarters with moderate bend of stifle and well let down hocks. Moved freely.

Retriever (Golden)

Puppy (9, 2a)

List’s HAYDENGOLD MOMENT IN TIME. Mid gold puppy bitch at 8 months old. When she moved around the ring she caught my eye and fortunately she fulfilled my initial hopes when I went over her. Her head gives the typical soft and intelligent expression a Golden should have with good chiselling and dark pigment. She has a strong neck of the correct length flowing well into her shoulders and level topline. Well sprung ribs with her forelegs nicely under her body. Well bent stifles with hocks well let down. She stands true on strong feet. On the move she drives around with ease holding her outline and tail level. Pleased to see her awarded further. Best Puppy, Puppy Group 1 & Reserve BPIS.

Oughton’s CARUBELO LIVE THE DREAM. Another very promising puppy bitch! 7 months old and in light gold coat, this bitch has a kind expression with a softly chiselled head and dark pigment set nicely into her neck of correct length for her proportions. Ribs well sprung with good heart room and level topline. Moderate hindquarters in balance with her front. Stands straight all round on neat feet. Moved accurately on long strides.

Her hindquarters have well bent stifles with well let down hocks. Tail correctly set, held level with her topline. Flowed around with reach and drive so well deserving of Best of Breed.
