Colne Nelson and District Open Show 13.05.2023

My many thanks to show committee for inviting me to judge soft coated wheaten terriers and Norfolk terriers at their open show. I have loved attending this show as an exhibitor and was honoured to be asked to judge there. Though my entry was small, each entry was given the same attention they would have had in a large class and judged against the standard and I was lucky to have two nice exhibits before me.

1: Leverton,Ms P., Carkbark Good Luck Charm ShCM VW, d, mature 9 year old boy with a beautifully groomed coat of silky waves with the correct colour. Masculine head of correct proportions, dark eye, small V shaped ears and a flat skull. Teeth good given his age.

Moderate length of neck leading to well placed shoulders and a level topline which he kept on the move. Tailset very good and carried high. Good turn of stifles and hocks well let down.1st place and Best of Breed

1:Geary, Mrs. A , Watercroft Quick As A Flash to Germanus, b, Lovely, good for size, balanced feminine bitch of just 7 months but already know what she is doing in the ring. Red coat mature for age, hard and wiry. Correct scissor bite,oval dark eye and correct ear set with small V shaped ears. Moderate length of neck, clean front, short straight legs, and level topline which she held on the move as she powered around the ring with drive. Excellent tailset and carriage. 1st place, Best Puppy in Breed, Best of Breed.
