Whippets.

My thanks to the officers and committee for inviting me to judge whippets at their inaugural open show. As always, thank you to my 2 stewards who were very efficient and above all thank you to all exhibitors for bringing their dogs for my evaluation.

Puppy (1)

1ST Perkins. MS G Z, Kierpark Just A Song At Zeglynn- A brindle bitch of 7 months, a raw puppy who seems to be developing nicely. She has a good head, oval eye, scissor bite and rose shape ears. Neck slightly arched and front assembly developed enough for age. Good depth of brisket, decent sweep of stifle and hocks let down. Moved well for one so young. BPIB

Junior (1)

1st Hoskins, S A, Bodlon Kind Of Magic At Shelsue- 14 month old brindle bitch whom I liked for her overall shape. She has a feminine head, oval eye, rose shaped ears and muzzle tapering with slight stop, correct scissor bite. Her neck is slightly arched and into well laid shoulders, Brisket well let-down and strong loin. Good sweep of stifle and second thigh, she moved well, although I would like her to be tidier behind.

Graduate (7,3a)

1st Kirby & Mansfield, Mr J & Ms H, Collooney Black Tartan At Shingwidsi- A curvy black dog , he has a good head, oval eye correct scissor bite and rose shaped ears, all carried on his elegantly arched neck. Deep brisket well-muscled back, leading to well angulated hindquarters, well developed second thigh and hocks well let down. Moved soundly around the ring and was true fore and aft.

2nd Rose, Mr S, Silkridge Honor Blackman At Ridanflight , a different type to 1st but possessed all the whippet qualities. A feminine brindle bitch, Lovely head with alert expression, oval eye, rose shaped ears and correct scissor bite. Neck slightly arched and into well laid shoulder, deep brisket and well-muscled back, good sweep of stifle and well developed second thigh. Moved well.
