Isle of Ely Canine Society – Premier Open Show – 04/02/23

I would like to thank the committee of Isle of Ely Canine Society for inviting me to judge at their Premier Open Show, my stewards Paula Meacham & Tara Fisher who organised the ring efficiently for me and the exhibitors for bringing their lovely dogs and sporting attitudes.

Breed – Chinese Crested

P: (2,0) 1. Crow’s Kojiki’s The Look of Love at Casacavallo. 6 month old hairless dog. Lovely head and expression. Sightly tapered muzzle with dark almond shaped eyes and correct teeth. Good angulation throughout and moved well. Lovely size and shape and a super show personality. RBOB

2. Quadling’s Prefix I Got Style I Got Attitude at Malenkhai (Swe Imp). 7 month old hairless dog. Nice head with chiselled cheeks tapering into muzzle. Large erect ears, strong jaws and scissor bite. Long neck sloping into strong shoulders. Moved well around the ring.

J: (3,0) 1. Crow’s Kojiki’s Love to Hate Me at Casacavallo. 6 month old hairless dog. Lovely size and shape. Handsome head with dark, almond shaped eyes, gently tapered muzzle, chiselled cheeks and large erect ears with fringe. A typical small, active and graceful dog with plenty of personality – alert and happy, behaving so well for his owner at such a young age. Well angulated and used this to good effect as he flowed around the ring with good reach and drive, carrying his tail high up to complete the picture. Formed a lovely silhouette when standing. BP & BOB and later went on to be awarded PG4.

2. Simms’ Benezhar For Ever And A Day. 12 month old powderpuff bitch with balanced head, slightly tapered muzzle, dark almond shaped eyes, large ears. Nice size and shape, level back. Good angulation and moved well.

3. Quadling’s Prefix I Got Style I Got Attitude at Malenkhai (Swe Imp).

PG: (1,0) 1. Hall’s Chestnutcres Sun Beam. 22 month old hairless bitch. Lovely head and expressive eyes, slightly tapered muzzle, large erect ears. Nice size and shape. Good angles at front and rear. Moved well with good reach and drive.

O: (3,2) 1. Masters & Shakeshift’s Doucai’s Show Boy. 5 year old hairless dog. Attractive head with almond shaped, dark expressive eyes. Good firm body, broad chest and level back. Well angulated throughout and moved elegantly around the ring with good reach and plenty of drive.

J: (1,0) 1. Pitts’ Mystic Legion Margarita. 17 month old red bitch. Pleasing head with round dark expressive eyes, flared ears which she used to good effect and correct apple domed skull. Compact with well sprung ribs, good angulation. Moved well. RBOB

PG: (1,0) 1. Pitts’ Mystic Legion Kahlua. 17 month old tricolour bitch. Lovely head with the desired saucy expression. Dainty and compact with a super show personality. Good angles to front and rear which she used to good effect as she moved around the ring with good reach and drive, maintaining a level topline. Sickle tail carried correctly at all times. BOB

2. Smith’s Little Wolf Cry of Hulawawas. 8 year old fawn dog. Handsome head with lovely round dark eyes and saucy expression. Well angulated and moved well, holding a level topline. Didn’t use his tail to best effect today.

O: (2,0) 1. Pitts’ Chichohit Favourite Sensation at Dappledale. 19 month old white-cream bitch. Lovely head with apple domed skull, round dark eyes and large flaring ears. Good feathering. Pleasing angulation which she used to good effect moving with brisk action around the ring.

2. Smith’s Zena Warrior Princess of Hulawawas. 8 year old bitch with good pigment, pretty head, round dark eyes and soft coat. Lovely personality. Well angulated and moved well around the ring with good rear action.

Breed – Chihuahua (Smooth Coat)

P: (2,0) 1. Crowley & Slavinec’s Copymear Flash Dance. 6 month old tricolour bitch. This was her first show and she was really enjoying it. Lovely, spirited show personality. Pretty head with round dark eyes, large flaring ears and good angulation. Moved with brisk action maintaining a level topline. BP

2. Slavinec’s Kiss You Off With Charonchi. 8 month old fawn bitch. Lovely head with apple domed skull, round dark eyes, good pigmentation and flaring ears. Good angles to front and rear. Moved well with good tail carriage.

J: (2,0) 1. Hall’s Jorazan Roody Red Sox. 17 month old dog. Lovely head with saucy expression, flared ears, good pigmentation, round dark eyes and correct scissor bite. Well balanced overall and moved briskly around the ring holding a level topline at all times.

2. Slavenic’s Charonchi Sugar Krush. 13 month old bitch. Pretty head with correct eyes and flaring ears. Well balanced with good angulation. A little nervous on the table but showed well when moving around the ring, holding a level topline.

PG: (3,0) 1. Hall’s Jorazan Quincy Quirky Sox JW. 13 month old fawn dog with lots to like. He has a super head with apple dome skull and saucy expression. Correct length of muzzle, good pigmentation and correct eyes and ears. Well balanced and well angulated, he used this to good effect when he moved around the ring with brisk, forceful action maintaining a level topline and sickle tail. Pushed hard for BOB. RBOB

2. Crowley’s Christalchi Parti Pris. 2 year old fawn bitch. Lovely head with round dark eyes, correct dentition, good length of muzzle and flared ears. Good angles to front and rear. Could make better use of tail, but moved well.

3. Smith’s Lemaritz Mastermind at Nayelichi.

O: (4,1) 1. Hall’s Jorazan Top Gun Flyer JW. 2 year old fawn dog. Super head with dark round expressive eyes, apple dome skull, enough muzzle, good pigmentation and correct dentition. A well balanced dog, alert and happy with a great personality for the ring. Very attentive to handler, he moved with brisk, forceful action with plenty of reach and drive. His topline remained firm at all times and his tail carriage was correct. He formed a lovely silhouette when standing. BOB

2. Smith’s Moltobello Miss Myrtle of Hulawawas. 2 year old tricolour bitch. Very pretty head with expressive eyes, apple dome skull and saucy expression. Well angulated and well balanced, she moved around the ring with good reach and drive carrying her tail in the correct sickle at all times.

3. Smiths’ Moltobello Pride and Joy of Hulawawas.
