Unfortunately we clashed with SKC Gundog and Hound day with Tickets on for all 3 breeds I was judging – never the less I had a great entry of PBGV and Whippets and had some fabulous dogs to go over.

Special Yearling (6,1)

1st Nykarth's Under Wraps – Owned by Mrs Kim Holt – this 16 month old boy has a lovely head, correct dark oval eye. Correctly placed ears and square muzzle. Slightly domed skull and good reach of neck into well laid shoulders. Good angulation front and rear and moved well. Giving his handler a bit of a hard time trying to get his nose on the floor (as were most of the PBGV today). Nearly gave him Res best of Breed but he has a bit more bodying up to do.

2nd Cynetkoy's Tinker Taylor – Owned by Ms L & Mr P Guernari & Dane – another 16 month old boy who has a fabulous coat, correct eye and ear good lay of shoulder. Not moving quite as well as the winner today.

My 5th in this class was my only Puppy

Culdaws Juke Box Jonny – Owned By Mrs KJ Culyer-Dawson – this just 7 month old boy gave a lot away on age to the older dogs in this class today – He has a good bite correct shaped eye and good ear set – good reach of neck into good shoulders and is well angulated – he is still very much a baby and having fun which is great to see. BPIB

Post Graduate (2,1)

1st Beaujons Velvet – Owned by Mr SR & Mrs L Wood – 6 year old bitch with a good domed skull correct eye and ear set and good muzzle. Good coat on her and well angulated fore and aft, and good tight padded feet moved well around the ring.

Open (2,0)

1st Tangaer French Romance (D) – Owned by Mrs J Hutchings – Lovely head slightly domed, correct dark oval eye and ear set. Good jaw, enough reach of neck into good shoulders and good angulation – good angulation front and back and good coat. He moved really well round the ring holding his lovely level topline. Good feet and bone. Pleased to award him BOB.

2nd Nykarth Perfect Moment (B) – Owned by Miss K Moulding – 6 year old bitch with a lot to like – correct head and eye, good ear set with enough reach of neck into ok shoulders. Was more interested in sniffing than moving round the ring which meant she did not show off her movement well but she has a good rear angulation and moved OK once she was going. RBOB – was a shame to see she did not get her tail up on the move in the RBOB stakes class.

WHIPPET

Puppy (2,0)

1st Shalfleet Chilli Cracker (B) – Owned by Ms J Wilton-Clarke – 10 month old girl with a very pretty correct head, very feminine with a good reach of neck. Well angulated and moved well round the ring. BPIB & pleased to see her go BPIS 3.

2nd Silkridge Aladdin Sane for Tephiti – Mrs R & Miss L Collins – This young one of just 6 months was giving a lot away to the older pup. Very good head, and reach of neck into good shoulders. Will settle over time but did settle enough to move well round the ring.

Junior (3,1)

1st Shalfleet Chasing the sun (D) – Owned by Ms J Wilton-Clarke – 10 month old, nice shaped puppy with good reach of neck into good shoulders and correct rise over the loin. Correct angulation and good feet, well muscled and moved beautifully round the ring.

2nd Shimmeree Calico's Cupid (B) – Owned by Mrs C & Miss M Hills – 17 month old well built girl with a lot to like, good reach of neck into good shoulders, out moved today by the winner.

Post Graduate (4,1)

1st Brochinbelle Joyride at Hinxwood (B) – Owned by Mrs JM Woodward – head OK, good bone, lovely feet. Moved well round the ring.

2nd Shalfleet Easter Bonnet (B) – Owned by Ms J Wilton-Clarke – pretty little bitch, with lovely head and ears, & good reach of neck. Croup a little steep which does not aid her movement.

Limit (2,0)

1st Demerlay On A Promise (D) – Owned by Mrs SR Hope – Nice boy with good eye and ear set. Good reach of neck. Good rear which provided drive to let him move well round the ring to win this class & RBOB

2nd Shimmeree Cool Calico (B) – Owned by Mrs C & Miss M Hills – well muscled and had correct rise over the loin, good rear angulation although a little upright in pastern. Moved OK.

Open Dog (3,1)

1st Demerlay Charming Charlie (D) – Owned by Mrs SR Hope – Very Nice boy with good shape to head, eye and ears, good reach of neck into correct shoulders. Correct rise over loin and good rear angulation. Moved well round the ring.

2nd Hamiltonhill Sidney Pike to Nixophel – Owned by Mrs HR Jansons & Mrs C Wilson – good head & ears, good angulation and correct pasterns. Good feet, well muscled.

Open Bitch (3,0)

1st Shimeree Black Satin JW (B) – Owned by Mrs C & Miss M Hills – What's not to like, her type just screamed Whippet and she was everything you want in the breed. Beautiful head, lovely shape all over and correct front and rear. Owned the ring when she moved round it. BOB & So pleased to see her go BIS 4.

2nd Bowdonia Colors Of The Wind (B) – Owned by Ms M Thomas – Nice bitch with good head and ears. Not the presence of 1st. well muscled, moved well round the ring.

3rd Shalfleet Sweet Cloe (B) – Owned by Ms J Wilton-Clark
