Thank you to all the exhibitors for giving me an excellent entry, which was sadly marred by absentees. However, I fully appreciate the work that goes into preparing this delightful breed for showing and with Crufts taking place a few days later, this was going to take priority.

JUNIOR 7 (6 absent)

1. Davis’ Schimo’s Joan Jette at Sasquatch

This 9 month female stood alone, however, was extremely worthy of her first place. I found her a very exciting prospect and am sure she is going to have a very successful show career. She has a very pleasing head with a short muzzle and dark eyes with a delightful expression. She is well off for bone and has excellent pasterns and feet. Well angulated front and rear, giving a balanced outline. She moved very soundly in all directions and coped with the small ring and noisy conditions extremely well. I was delighted to award her BOB and BP and shall follow her progress with interest.

POST-GRADUATE 5 (3 abs)

1. Davies’ Barracechi Urs De Munte A.I

At 3 year old, this young man has just reached majority and he is certainly very masculine. He has a very strong head with a broad skull and good eyes with strength of muzzle. He has a very kind expression. He is very well boned throughout with a broad deep chest. He is just a tad too long in body and slightly heavy so not such a balanced outline as the puppy. He moved well in all directions in a very small ring.

2. Jones’ Acaviste Bron Yr Aur

A 3 year old female, who had a pleasing head, good eyes and kindly expression. She is well off for bone and good angulation front and rear. She was another, who was perhaps a tad too heavy, which spoilt her overall outline and was somewhat down on her pasterns on the day. She moved well enough, but would have benefited from a larger ring to make the best of herself.
