Thank you, Mid Herts Gundog Club for inviting me to judge Large Munsterlanders at your show.  Thank you very much to my kind and helpful stewards and to the exhibitors for their support and sportsmanship.

Special Yearling (1)

1st:  Day’s Tarkanya Ritas Reinheart at Alfriston - 12 month old male.  Lovely natured boy enjoying his day out, up to size, just needs time for his body to mature, he is only just out of puppy. Good head shape with dark brown eyes.  Good length of neck and correct front angulation.  Deep chest, strong, level topline and sufficient bone though I would prefer tighter feet.  Just about settled on the move enough to see sound movement with his tail well set on and carried correctly. Reserve Best of Breed.

1st: Foreman’s Toberworry Little Lies - 2.5 years old, a balanced, feminine bitch with a kind expression.  Nice head and eye shape, dark brown eyes.  Well laid-back shoulders and correct return of upper arm.  Good depth of chest, nice, firm top line reaching to well angulated hind quarters with a good turn of stifle.  Good bone and tight feet. Turned out in excellent coat condition and good muscle tone, displaying a free striding gait on the move.  A good square outline seen best when free standing. Lovely partnership with her handler.  Pleased to award her Best of Breed.

2nd: Day’s SH CH Waldo Vom Busshof Mit Afriston (IMP DEU) - 6.5 year old male.  Nice masculine head, dark eye, perfect scissor bite, good length of neck leading to good front angulation.  Good width and depth of chest, level topline and strong loin, well set on tail but would like a little more rear angulation. Would prefer stronger, tidier, and tighter feet.  Movement was choppy to begin with but OK once on the move, he may be better moved with the lead loose.
