FLAT COATED RETRIEVER CRITIQUE

Thank you so much for the committee’s invitation to judge at their show. A superbly ran show with refreshments gladly accepted and Margaret worked well as my steward keeping the ring moving swiftly as I had 3 breeds to judge.

PUPPY (2,1A)

1 Walker & Roberts Gloi Dubh Lady Muck – An 8 month old bitch who standing alone was a worthy winner. A lovely kind eye with feminine one piece head. Enough bone and good construction with enough forechest for a puppy this age. Nice feathering already on tail, moved very well. BP, RBOB and pleased to see her go BPIS 3.

1 Walker & Roberts Gloi Dubh Kristofer Robin JW – A 21 month old dog with nice eye colour and classic head. Strong neck into well laid shoulder and good topline. Plenty of bone, deep in chest, well muscled dog who moved soundly.

Open ( 2,0A)

1 Romeo-Dieste’s Hopevally Morning Rainbow JW – A beautiful 5 year old bitch whose overall outline should win every time. Nice ear set, kind eye and feminine head. Good neck into well place shoulders, good front assembly and in overall good condition. Enough bone and in good coat, moved out true and steady and was easily my BOB, pleased to see her shortlisted in BIS.

2 Walker & Roberts Gloi Dubh Just One Look – A 3 year old dog with an all male head, good moulding and soft expression. A nice flow from the neck into shoulder, plenty of bone, deep in brisket, movement a little unsteady today. Preferred overall outline of 1.
