South Eastern Hound Club

I was asked to take over these Club supported classes and was delighted to do so and do hope the appointed judge is feeling better now, understandably there were absentees; my thanks to the Steward & to the exhibitors who made my judging such a very pleasant experience and for accepting their placings well. Again, the ring size was perfect for this Breed & we were able to admire & enjoy some excellent movement on the day.

Graduate (4) 3abs

1. Campbell Woodford’s Whiteorchard Adhara at Kilmacduagh most lovely shaped wheaten bitch of regal bearing, she had a lovely head shape, good strength of neck, good width to her chest, elbows held well, terrific bone, straight forearm, good depth to chest strong angulated quarters & hocks let down well, on the move she had an easy flow but lost concentration losing her line of travel at times. Good harsh coat & just a tad overweight for me, however a nice prospect.

Open (7) 3 abs

1. Heather’s Ch Whiteorchard Ad Astra JW this steel grey bitch stood out and was impressive to say the least, from the shape of her head, dark eyes & good pigment, small velvet ears, nicely angles complimenting fore & aft, strong front & good width, super depth & nice length to back, strong loin, long tail, super on the move covering the ground with an easy gait, good coming & going, she is graceful yet powerful and all these things combined gave her Best of Breed, and delighted she went on to win Reserve Best in Show.

2. Heather’s Whiteorchard Aurora JW litter sister to 1 and many of the previous remarks apply with regards to overall construction, shape, size, and type, if anything she is just a shade finer & needs to fill out just a bit more, but very appealing and when on the move just put it all together so well, Res.
