The Royal Cheshire County Show

20th June 2023

Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever.

Puppy (3) A lovely first class to start the days judging, full credit to these youngsters for coping so well with the challenging conditions.

1. Warren Afonbach Dreamfyre At Shorrocks Summed up medium size and compact skull was clean cut and wedge shaped with a triangular ear and good almond shaped eye. Moved well with good reach on a challenging surface, showed very well for one so young.

2. Adshead Afonbach Syrax A little less compact than 1 but not in correct a more moderate head but very appealing scores in eye and dentition, excellent coat, admirably demonstrating its repellent qualities beautifully, moved well with correct level head carriage, unlucky to meet today 1 and I expect they could change places on a different day.

3. Roffey Camusmor Ca Canny With Acanduck.

Junior (3,1)

1. Warren Afonbach Dreamfyre At Shorrocks

2. Adshead Afonbach Syrax

Graduate (4)

1. Trueman Cretshegan Lake Itasca (AI) This exhibit really caught my eye in first class hard condition being a credit to his charge flat cheeks tapering muzzle with a moderate stop, good and appealing eye, super coat, right amount of bone, lovely playful intelligent temperament a pleasure to assess.

2. Warren Afonbach Dreamfyre At Shorrocks

3. Adshead Afonbach Syrax

Postgraduate (3,2)

1. Adshead Afonbach Syrax Stood alone but had appeal, good size and shape and a had a lovely outline on the move, moved well, had a delightful rapport with the handler moderate in angles but balanced for and rear, had a tendency to drop topline at times, which detracted a little.

Limit (2,1)

1. Trueman Croftwell Tickety Boo. 5 year old exhibit showed very well, strook me as really scoring in body with a good deep chest and well sprung ribs, another shown in excellent hard condition, lovely tight feet and a super head used tail to best advantage which was broad at base and well feathered pushed hard for RBOB.

Open (5,1)

1. Fielder Schindow Junior Cowboy With Crethsengan Immediately took my eye in this class, had a confidence and showmanship many would envy, lovely double coat of fabulous colour, he masculine and workmanlike but with nothing overdone, on the move he gave an excellent account of himself and I had no hesitation in awarding him BOB.

2. Adshead Afronbach Winter Is Coming JW Another quality exhibit who pushed hard scores in body was balanced I just preferred the leg length of 1 today, excellent coat, a medium sized and well-muscled exhibit with the typical heavily feathered constantly moving tail, RBOB.

3. Sim Stellenbosch Krilencu.
